~I Love You~
King Lansel was staring keenly at her as he took gentle strides towards her.
"You read the whole day" he stated, picking up one of the books.
"Yay, Master Odysseus is a good teacher" Niamh replied, closing the books. Suddenly, her stomach growled in hunger and Lansel snapped his head to stare at her. His eyes darkened with a certain intensity, staring at her like she committed a deadly crime.
"You haven't eaten Neev, you starved yourself" his voice was dangerously low. Niamh lowered her head, fiddling her fingers and pouting like a child being scolded.
"I won't be moved by your sudden cuteness. I will bite those lips if you don't stop pouting" Lansel snapped. Niamh gasped and stared up at him. His expression was cold meaning he's dead serious. Niamh's eyes dimmed in sadness, she hates provoking him. Lansel continued however.
"How can you learn on an empty stomach. Do you want to be thin? Your people will call you thin queen"
"You're maids told me you don't want to be disturbed. So food is a disturbance hunh?" Lansel asked, his voice was a bit loud as he scolded her angrily.
"Is it my fault? I was..."
"It was your fault!" Lansel cut her off with a yell.
"Alright I'm sorry!" Neev yelled back in response. Lansel shot her an extremely cold glare and mumbled. "You'd better be"
There was a knock at the door and Lansel muttered a 'come in'. Three maids walked in each holding a tray containing various meals. The maids bowed and left afterwards.
Lansel picked up the books and arranged them on the shelf then served the dishes.
There are Dragon's breath chicken, a royal soup made with rare shimmering mushrooms and hint of stardust crystal known as the unicorn tears, phoenix eggs, a stew made with chunks of beef and golden mushrooms known as the goblin's gold, mermaid's tail sauce and diamond dumplings and Crystal tea.
"You're eating all of these. For lunch and supper" Lansel stated as a matter of factly. Niamh stared at him in disbelief, how the hell can she eat up these bunch of meals that five people can eat without complaints.
"Start now!" Lansel ordered and went to refresh. Niamh was salivating, she suddenly blamed herself for not eating the whole day. She was never the type to play with god. She is the typical example of 'eating without getting fat'. When she cannot wait any longer, she dug in, indulging in the mouth watering royal delicacies with a hint of magical spices in them.
Niamh summoned the maids to bring fruits and dessert. They arrived in less than a minute with a bowl of fruits and a bowl of unicorn horn ice cream, royal raspberry Rhapsody and Phoenix flame cake.
When Lansel was back, wearing his night wears with a blue cloak on top, he was shocked to see Neev already fine with all the dishes. She. Was wearing fruits when she sensed his presence, she turned and shot him a stare and continued. Lansel was gobsmacked, this wife of his is truly full of wonders. Did she put all those food in that tiny stomach of hers?! He watched her as she ate all the fruits and licked the three bowls of dessert.
Lansel's mouth were agape as he watched the maids clear the setting before he loved closer to her, staring at her in disbelief like she was kind of creature from outside the universe.
"Why the stare? Now a crime to eat?" Neev asked with a mocking stare.
"You have the power of wonders" he leaned down and pecked her forehead. She giggled.
"I'm taking you somewhere" Lansel whispered and helped her up. He picked up one of his robes and wore it on her.
"it's not cold Lansel" she complained.
"You can say that again when I take you there" he smirked. He opened a portal and they both entered. The portal closed afterwards.
"Welcome to the Ethereal Expanse" Lansel gestured his hands to the white field covered with snow. It was really freezing there. There, whatever Neev s es is unbelievable for her.
In the quite frozen expanse of the Arctic night, a celestial ballet unfolds. The Aurora Borealis, a luminous symphony of greens and purples, pirouettes across the velvety expanse of the northern sky. This enchanting display, weaves a tale of cosmic wonder, where charged particles of the sun engage in a mesmerizing ballet with the Earth's magnetic field, casting ethereal hues upon the icy canvas of the polar night. A mesmerizing spectacle that whispers tales of cosmic wonder to those fortunate enough to witness it's celestial choreography, upon it's luminous elegance.
Niamh was breathless, absolutely breathless as she gazed in awe. The lights were beautiful, extremely breathtaking. It is as if they are hiding something behind their magical presence. Staring at the lights alone is enough to wreak havoc inside her heart. She'd been a nature lover and had always wished to see the Aurora Borealis in real life. Her beloved just made her dream come true.
It took a long, very long while for Niamh to savour the moment before she turned to him, her king, her beloved.
"This is..."
"Out of the world" Lansel took the words out of her mouth. And so, Niamh jumped into his embrace.
"I love it Lansel, thank you"
Lansel gazed up at the lights and smiled.
"I love you, Neev" the words he thought he will never say, he just said it. But it felt less awkward than "I'm sorry". Niamh stiffened for a while, in the next second, she disentangled staring up at Lansel in disbelief. She thought she'll never hear him say that to her. She thought she's the only one that has feelings for him. But he...he reciprocated her feelings, he confessed his love under this breathtaking ethereal expanse. It is surreal!
