~The War~
"I thought I was hallucinating" Niamh stated, she couldn't hide her happiness.
Lansel tucked the hair that was covering her face, behind her ear.
"What makes you think I don't love you? And if I don't, do you think I'd make love to you?" Lansel asked ever so softly, his sea green eyes were glimmering like the northern lights.
"That's not it Lansel, I wasn't expecting it to come this way. I mean, you made it seem magical and out of this world" Neev locked her silver eyes into his green ones.
"I will give you the moon if you ask for it, my love. I will love and protect you with my life... forever" he pulled her closer.
Niamh was in tears. This is inexplicable...oh God. She tiptoed and softly claimed his lips. That's the only thing she could do to show her happiness. The lights in the sky moved in silence, as if they're shy to witness the intimate and romantic moment of the king and his wife.
Lansel was amused when they broke apart. Niamh seemed to be bolder than before. They way her tongue moved, the emotions that flowed in it. This moment is for them, they could both feel it. They like it. No, they love it. Niamh's next word left Lansel breathless and stiff.
"Make Love to me, Lansel" it was a whisper.
The Next Day...
There was tension that rises in the small council meeting. The king was sitting at the head of the table, Niamh was beside him. Queen Diantha at the other end, the Commander of all forces General Hecter was there, The Queen's advisor Nicklaus was there, the God of War Marius was there along side with Neptune the sea god, Lucretzia and Lord Duncan Styrix.
"We have strengthened our defenses, the walls of the Moon Realm cannot be breached" that's general Hecter.
"I have used my magic to seal the walls, the whole Moon Realm is protected" Lucretzia added.
"But the Develdions will not back down just like that, the war has come and we should put an end to it, once and for all" Niamh suggested.
"Then, what next?" Queen Diantha asked.
Niamh and Lansel exchanged knowing glances. They both have the same idea going on in their brains.
"Then we fight beyond the walls" Lansel smirked.
"Beyond the walls, you mean outside the Moon Realm?" Lord Duncan asked in disbelief.
"The only option to protect the Moon Realm" Lansel leisurely shrugged his shoulders.
"Damien have dragons, he will attack with dragons" the sea god suddenly stated and a wave of silence washed the room.
"We have those that can stop dragons with maelstrom and powers. I and my water goddess can help defeat his dragons" the sea god added. They all nodded in agreement.
"The Moon goddess can also help purify all the demon-possessed beings created by Damien. I only have to use the moon's energy" Niamh stated.
"The moon only shines at night, your Grace" Nicklaus suddenly stated with a bit of confusion. Niamh smiled at his naivety.
"The Moon Realm gets her powers from the moon's energy known as the Lunar core, does that make the Moon Realm vulnerable during the day?" Niamh asked, raising a brow at him.
"I possess the energy of the moon, another reason I'm the most powerful" Niamh added and they all nodded. Their nerves calming down a bit. They saw a ray of hope with their Queen's wits. They put their trust on her and they know she won't fail them.
Suddenly, a loud sound was hear from outside the realm and the whole room shook from its effects. They knew this is not just an ordinary sound.
One of the royal guards barged in, panicking.
"The Develdions are marching to the wall"
The tension rises. Commander of all forces, general Hecter turned to Marius.
"Lead the soldiers beyond the wall!" Marius bowed and rushed out.
"Protect the Queen Mother!" Lansel yelled and two guards cane rushing towards Queen Diantha.
"Mother, we need to end this. Stay safe" Lansel rushed his words and pecked her forehead.
"Stay safe, Lansel. And protect Neev"
Lansel smiled and took Niamh's hand. They both rushed out of the room.
Dionysios was in his chamber wearing his Sapphire blue armour when Lucretzia walked in. She watched him by the door for a while before walking in.
"My prince" she called from behind.
"Luscious Lucretzia" Dionysios reciprocated softly, tying the straps of his armour.
"Let me" Lucretzia helped him with the straps.
"Thank you" Dionysios muttered when she's done. Lucretzia jumped into his embrace.
"Stay safe and come back to me" she sobbed,, hugging him tight.
"I will, sunshine" Dionysios hugged her back, patting her soothingly. Lucretzia might look strong from outside, but she's still vulnerable and soft from inside. She easily gets broken. And the fact that her beloved is going to a war, she feels restless. His fate hangs in balance, he might return to her and he might not.
"Don't cry for me when I'm still standing in front of you, Lucretzia. I'm coming back for you. That's a promise" Dionysios cooed as they disentangled.
"My precious Lucretzia" he said and claimed her lips. Lucretzia quickly reciprocated. Pouring all her emotions into the kiss.
"Stay within the walls and fight alongside the Queen" Dionysios said. He shot her one last smile before leaving.
Meanwhile, at Lansel's manor...
Niamh helped Lansel dress up in his glimmering Jade green armour and packed his hair in a messy bun. Her expression was that of sadness the whole time.
"Don't be sad, my silver cat. I'm honoured to fight for what's rightfully mine. I'm confident I will be victorious of you put your trust in me" Lansel stated. Niamh looked up at him.
"I forever trust you. I am just worried" Niamh said truthfully. This battle is for her, because of her, only for her. Many will lose their lives, many will be hurt.
"I will come back to you, my love" he squeezed her palm, giving her a reassuring smile.
"I believe you" Niamh smiled back.
She tiptoed and kissed Lansel softly. Lansel wrapped his hands around her and reciprocated, eventually taking the lead and Niamh followed suit.
"I love you, Lansel" Niamh's eyes were brimming with tears.
"I love you more, Neev" Lansel reciprocated and pecked her lips shortly.
"Fight with Lucretzia and Neriah. I will fight with the men beyond the wall" Lansel said and summoned his sword, it appeared right by his side and he got hold of it.
The sound of thousands soldiers marching to the wall was heard and the Develdions emerged.
The Titans occupied the gates of the Moon Realm while the archers took the fortress. Niamh, Lucretzia, Neriah and Neptune were by the fortress while Lansel, Dionysios, Marius and general Hecter were at the Frontline alongside with the soldiers.
"Titans!" General Hecter yelled.
"Let's take our pledge!" He announced and all the soldiers, including Lansel and Dionysios raised their swords to their faces, their blades glimmering in the morning sunshine.
"I pledge to Moon Realm"
"Land of our fathers"
"Rightful kings and queens they come by"
"I serve the land with all I have"
"Protect thee with my heart and life"
"Blood of my enemies dropping by the edge of my sword"
"I fight for my land"
"I kill with my heart" they all vowed.
And so, the Develdions emerged. General Sullivan was leading the attack.
"I urge the Develdions to turn your army and go back to your kingdom!" General Hecter urged.
"Not when I see this land burn down to ashes!" General Sullivan replied, his voice was deep and loud.
Niamh was over the balcony in the fortress with the other three, she smiled sadly seeing general Sullivan. She knew he's not himself and she hoped he will recognize her when he sees her.
"Archers!!!"
