The next day, Robin finds herself standing in the plush living room of her adoptive parents' sprawling estate.
Elise and Henry, both radiant with a sense of anticipation, greet her warmly and usher her to the sofa.
"Robin, dear, we're so glad you could come," Elise says, her eyes shining with emotion. "Henry and I, we have something we'd like to discuss with you."
Robin nods, her gaze shifting between the two of them. "Of course, what is it?"
Henry clears his throat, a sheepish smile on his face. "Well, you see, Robin, your mother and I, we never got to experience the joy of seeing our daughter get married." He says sadly.
Robin feels a pang of sympathy, her heart aching for the loss they must have endured. "I'm so sorry to hear that," she says softly.
"That's why we've been thinking," Elise continues, her eyes shining with hope, "we would love nothing more than to see you get engaged, and perhaps even plan a wedding for you."
