I snap back to reality; this voice was different, it wasn't like the others. I even feel lighter. Weird, but I'm used to weird; I'll just ride this vibe until I'm tired again. I think of asking for permission to leave the class but opt to just sneak out through the back.

The school seems to be really quiet today, or the voices are louder. A sudden breeze passes me; I feel chills. Something triggers my fight or flight response before I could react. I hear a crashing sound. I look outside in the field; some sort of monster. I suddenly can't move; my mind begins being filled with a lot of information. I feel if I panic now, I'll lose my mind. I try to focus on the present so I don't lose focus. The monster is being fought by a girl; they don't seem to notice me. She seems to be using a spear and winning the fight against the monster, but it's also putting up a fight. It attacked like a madman, throwing itself and taking hits it could probably dodge just for a chance to attack; it wanted to wound her.

She fought flawlessly, moving and attacking with the fluidity of a master martial artist. She hits the monster with a deadly attack, and it is flung back. She draws close to administer the last blow. Suddenly, the monster turns and locks eyes with me. I feel dread and shame.

I hear the girl start to run towards me, screaming my name, telling me not to die. How does she know my name?

I lose consciousness as I see the monster running towards me.
