Chapter 22 - Chapter 21 – A Plan

"Benjamin?" the girl asked, surprised to see a woman behind Benjamin, who was receiving something from Joel.

"Wow, what a surprise to see you here, Victoria," Benjamin commented with a smile.

Victoria was a girl who liked to go from party to party or to concerts, so she rarely visited these kinds of places.

"I just stopped by this store because my brother is doing some business nearby," Victoria explained instantly.

"Are you with Ethan?" Benjamin asked immediately, but then he remembered Ethan's words:

'Don't reveal my identity to her.'

That warning from Ethan echoed several times in his mind so he turned to look at Sheila.

Luckily, Sheila was focused on inspecting a small red laptop which Joel had handed her, and it was clear from the expression on her face that she was searching for something.

"Benjamin..." said Sheila in a low voice as she turned to look at him, confused.

To his relief, Sheila seemed not to have heard anything, so approaching to help her...

"What happened?" asked Benjamin, bending down to see what had happened.

"I can't find it."

"What can't you find?"

"My browser."

"Which browser?" asked Benjamin, puzzled, as almost all laptops with Windogs came with the same default browser.

Did Sheila not know she had to download her browser again?

"Where is Internet Explourer?"

Silence.

Something inside Benjamin broke.

She used Internet Explourer as her main browser?

How?

For over 30 years, that browser had been completely outdated, and there were a thousand better options available!

How could she continue using something like that?

That was what Benjamin was thinking, but obviously, he wasn't going to yell at a girl.

Taking advantage of Sheila still desperately searching for her outdated browser on the laptop, Benjamin took several deep breaths to calm himself.

Joel took this opportunity to grab Victoria by the waist and lead her away.

Victoria, feeling Joel's hands on her waist, asked embarrassed:

"What are you doing?"

"Just follow me," Joel insisted as he led her somewhere else.

Benjamin, on the other hand, explained patiently to Sheila:

"Look, with all due respect, Treit... there are better options. Want a browser that blocks ads? Use Grauve. Want a fast and effective browser? Use Grauve. And if for some reason you are an animal advocate, there's Fuirefuox. But Explourer? Really? Treit, there are better options."

Benjamin had said all that so quickly that Sheila had barely understood half of what he said.

First the news about her phone, then what happened last night and now this...

She had only glanced at the computer because Joel had handed it to her so naturally that she instinctively started to check it!

Seeing that Sheila probably hadn't understood even half of the things he had said, as he had spoken very fast, Benjamin resigned himself and spoke more slowly this time.

"Although, of course... if you insist so much on having something like that... you can have its brother browser, which is... Eduge."

Benjamin didn't want to mention that browser, as for him it was something that should not be used by anyone.

"What? Do browsers have brothers?"

"No."

Did she really know nothing about technology?

Sheila was a girl who had certain chemistry with him, but they were complete opposites in that regard.

It was then that an idea occurred to him.

Teach her discreetly all about the world of technology!

"Treit..."

"What?" responded Treit, somewhat annoyed as she crossed her arms.

Treit couldn't believe that a computer of that level didn't have her preferred browser. She had gone through so much with it...

"Can you give me your phone number?" asked Benjamin determinedly.

He had a goal.

"Why?" asked Treit, still somewhat annoyed with him. Benjamin kept teasing her and mocking her.

Sooner or later, Treit would find a way to turn the tables, but first, she had to finish her business with the help of her new phone.

"I want to... send you memes."

That would be the first step in Benjamin's grand plan to educate Sheila about the computer world.
