Chapter 15 - GOLDEN GATES

Kai got frustrated. He spoke in frustration, "He'll pay for this."

"But first, I need to find the rogues before they go too far," Kai said as he went to find the rogues.

A few Moments Earlier,

At the festival entrance, Eiera, Rin, and Luna stood together, their eyes scanning the crowd for Kai. Eiera's green eyes reflected the festive lights, but there was a hint of anger in her gaze.

Eiera's anger reached its peak. She turned to Rin, "Rin, your brother still hasn't come. WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS!" Eiera shouted at Rin.

Rin was shocked by Eiera's anger as she responded, "But why are you angry at me? I did nothing wrong."

"I don't care," Eiera's anger was on its peak. "We are no longer waiting for him. Let's go."

Luna interfered, "Can we wait a little longer."

Eiera turned to Luna, her eyes glowing with fury. Luna sensed Eiera's frustration and quickly corrected herself. "No, we'll go now."

As Luna spoke, she went through the festival entrance, her small, radiant form fitting through the entrance like a beacon of light. Rin followed, her steps light but deliberate. Eiera glanced back one last time with a mix of hope and resignation before stepping through the entrance herself.

She scanned the horizon, her eyes lingering in the darkness, willing Kai to appear. But there was no sign of him. With a heavy sigh, she turned and entered the festival.

As Eiera, Rin, and Luna entered the festival, the entire kingdom gathered to celebrate of Celestria's prince's birthday. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and anticipation. Everyone was gathering at the grand castle gate.

The gates, made of pure gold and standing an impressive thirty feet tall, were a testament to the wealth and grandeur of the kingdom. They glistened under the moonlight, creating a dazzling spectacle.

Hiroshi and his mother were also present there. The trio approached Hiroshi and his mother. The trio was welcomed with warm smiles.

Luna asks, "So, when will the festival start?"

Hiroshi responded, "Everyone's waiting for the prince to arrive. He'll be here soon."

Hiroshi looked around and noticed that Kai was missing. "Where's...h." Hiroshi hesitated to ask about Kai.

"You mean Kai," Eiera confirmed, to which Hiroshi nodded eagerly.

"He doesn't want to come and join us," Eiera explained, her tone tinged with disappointment.

Hiroshi's expression fell, his disappointment mirroring Eiera's. "But...he....promised...." He said, with a hint of sadness in his voice.

Luna fluttered near Hiroshi's ear as she whispered to him. "If Kai made a promise, then he will fulfil it at any cost."

Hiroshi's disappointment melted away as he absorbed Luna's words. Her unwavering confidence in Kai's integrity instilled a renewed sense of hope within him. He nodded, a smile forming on his face once more.

Suddenly, fireworks burst, illuminating the night sky, and a loud voice echoed throughout the entire kingdom. "The King Of Celestria Has Arrived."

All eyes turned towards the grand staircase behind the golden gates, where the king descended with regal grace accompanied by his guards, adorned in his majestic crown and a resplendent royal outfit of bright red.

With each step, the king's presence commanded respect, and as he reached the bottom of the stairs, he took his seat on the magnificent throne.

The announcer spoke again, "Please Welcome Our Beloved Prince."

But Aiden, the prince, did not arrive for some moments. The king surveyed the surroundings, a furrow of concern creasing his brow. Sensing the absence of his son, he called upon one of his guards.

"Where's Aiden?" The king inquired, his tone tinged with apprehension.

"Your Majesty, I'll find the Prince Immediately," The guard responded.

The guard hurried off in search of the missing prince. Fifteen tense minutes later passed before the guard returned. He whispered in the announcer's ear and took his place next to the King.

The announcer spoke again, "The Prince Of Celestria Has Arrived."

With a mixture of relief and concern, the King watched as his son, Aiden, finally arrived and swiftly took his place beside his father's throne.

"Where were you, Aiden?" The King inquired.

Aiden, feeling guilt for causing his father concern, replied. "Got lost, Father."

The king, relieved to see his son safe and sound, wasted no time. He stood up from his throne, commanding his guards. "Open the gates, let the event begin."

As the golden gates swung open, a wave of excitement rippled through the gathered crowd, signalling the beginning of the grand celebration.

People from all walks of life eagerly made their way through the golden gates.

Among the throngs of attendees, Eiera, Rin, and Luna walked alongside Hiroshi and his mother.

Just as they were about to enter the castle, a voice came, "Am I late."

Turning around, they saw Kai standing behind them.
