Deamon didn't stop typing even after hearing jake's question. After waiting for a minute without getting a reply from his boss he knew that the answer was a no. Deamon didn't care much about anything except his work. The only person Deamon was close to was Jeffrey his dad. However jake didn't see their relationship as close. The times the two met could be counted on one hand. Jeffrey initiated most of the calls and he was the one who talked the most in those conversations. After jake left, Deamon's phone rang. He never received many calls except when it was an important business call or his dad. Deamon looked at the screen and saw his dad was the one calling. He stopped typing and received his call.
Deamon: "hello."
Jeffrey: "Deamon my son how are you doing? Did you go home?"
Deamon: "still at the office."
Jeffrey: "you should go home son it's already 9pm over there. I'll be having my last meeting tomorrow then I'll head back home. Your mom and Diana are having problems with your wife. She left home and returned to live in her apartment. She told me that she sent you the divorce papers, did you receive them? Deamon I want you to meet your wife tomorrow and convince her not to file for divorce. You know both of you are the same, you need someone in your lives. If she decides to leave I'm afraid no one will ever want to be with you. So please my boy meet your wife tomorrow and have a nice chat with her."
Deamon listened carefully at his dad. He knew that his father cared about him very much and that's why he listened to him. After he was rescued from his kidnappers his family tried to help him recover but never felt comfortable being with them. His mother was always crying which he found extremely annoying and his sister would hide herself everytime she saw him. Only his dad persisted in caring and supporting him. He at first hated all the caring from his dad but he came to understand his dad's determination when no matter how cold he was at his dad he never abandoned him.
Deamon: "okay. I'll meet her."
Jeffrey: "that's good my boy. Remember to invite her to dinner. Women love to be pampered. Okay now head home immediately so that you can a good night's sleep."
Deamon: "en."
Jeffrey disconnected the call. He sighed a sigh of relief as he had convinced his son to talk to isabella. He hoped that this couple would get along. Deamon put his phone in his pocket the turned off his computer and then walked out of his office. Jake was the only one left at the office coz he couldn't leave his boss alone. He saw Deamon coming out of his office then he quickly turned off his computer then joined his boss to wait for the private elevator. He fished out his phone and quickly notified the driver to bring out the car. The elevator arrived at the 30th floor where deamon's office was located. They entered the elevator then he heard deamon speak.
Deamon: "send me the email she sent you."
Jake immediately understood his boss then forwarded isabella's email. Deamon opened the email then gave it a once over look then instructed jake.
Deamon: "book dinner at the luxe hotel then invite her to dinner at 7pm."
Jake: "yes boss."
Jake was surprised that deamon was going to have dinner with isabella. He knew his boss never liked to be in the company of women. Deamon described women with one word 'annoying'. He didn't even like the company of his own mother and sister. And he tried as much as possible to minimise his interactions with women. Deamon didn't care what his assistant was thinking he just made the decision to sign the divorce agreement because he didn't see the need to remain in this marriage. This time he's going to disapoint his dad.
