Near the end of Core Weapons class, Tyr had gathered the class to have them do a quick 1v1 with a partner.
"You will fighting each other for experience so that when you do get into a fight with a human or humanoid creature, you will be ready."
Tyr paused for a moment before continuing.
"You will be picking your partner now, both parties have to agree if you're going to fight."
The class dispersed, going to pick their partner.
Roseline stood still as she didn't know who to fight. She didn't really know anybody.
'Not knowing anybody is becoming an issue.' No matter how introverted she was, she noticed that being alone wasn't the best idea.
At least in human society.
"Hey!" Roseline felt a hand full of calluses press on her shoulder.
Turning around, Lucas appeared and asked Roseline. "Do you wanna fight? Don't worry I will go easy on you."
"No don't fight her, fight me. She is too weak."
Emma approached Lucas, not even giving Roseline any mind.
Hearing that, Roseline felt a bit offended but didn't do anything as no one knew of the System or her increase in strength.
And compared to her, she was right.
Lucas looked back at Emma before declining her.
"Nah."
Emma then looked at Roseline, waiting for her to turn Lucas down.
Roseline thought for a moment before nodding to Lucas.
Lucas had a slight smile seeing Roseline's response while Emma's face hadn't changed, moving to find someone else.
Lucas and Roseline head over to one of the empty spaces and got into their fighting positions.
When Roseline got to her position, she had a Quest interface appear in front of her.
——— SYSTEM ———
Defeat your opponent.
Reward: +50 XP and +5 free Stat
Defeat: Nothing as this opponent is above the user's level.

Seeing the Quest, Roseline thought back on why she didn't get such a Quest when she fought Atlas during the entrance test.
— The SYSTEM had decided that the opponent before was too powerful. User had 0% chance of beating. —
'Guess that makes sense, but seriously? No chance? Well, Mr. Gray is in the peak of the second stage and I'm not even touching the first one.'
Finishing the thought, Roseline threw it into the back of her mind and focused on beating Lucas simply because of the rewards on the quest.
'If I beat him, that will greatly help in growing my power.'
Roseline put on her Dark Terror while Lucas got a random training spear because he did say he would go easier on her.
But he should have brought out his Core weapon, as not doing so was one big mistake he did.
As soon as both of them were ready, Roseline took the chance to strike first, rushing to him.
Reaching Lucas, Roseline used the Steady Mountain Form 1st step to hit Lucas in the stomach but Lucas had pulled his spear into a blocking position, making her hit the wood on it.
Roseline then moved to get behind Lucas, raising her leg and swung it to attack the backside of his knees.
Lucas quickly used his spear to pierce the opening on her side stomach while trying to turn away.
But she grabbed his spear with her spare hand, stoping it before it touched her. The only reason she was confident in using such a forbidden move that would usually end in defeat was because of her high strength stat.
Lucas tried to pull back the spear in a panic but Roseline's grasp of it was too strong.
It was too late for Lucas as her leg had hit his knee, making him fall over slightly but that was all Roseline needed.
Getting up closer and grabbing Lucas's clothes, Roseline switched places with Lucas and slammed him into the floor with her body going on top of him.
**DUNCKK**
His head and spine had been hit hard putting him out of commission and making him dizzy for a little before he recovered.
Lucas had been defeated.
Why Roseline had been able to win so easily was because of two reason. First was that they were not allowed to use their affinities in Core Weapons class as it was about using weapons, not magic.
The second was because Lucas was just plain out bad at close combat.
All thought he could show off the power of a 3 Star Senior, it was because of his affinity. He was still in the body of a 2 Star that was more focused on agility and dexterity.
He was a mid-range fighter after all.
While Lucas laid on the floor thinking about his defeat, Roseline was looking at the Quest completion from the System.

Satisfied, Roseline went to help Lucas up but he declined and got up himself.
"That was a good fight Roseline." Lucas hold out his hand to do a hand shake, but got no response back.
"Oof, leaving me hanging huh.."
Roseline ignored Lucas and left, going to a corner of the classroom to wait for the class to end.
It didn't take long before Tyr had called the students to go back to their place to dismiss them.
"Seth will be coming back for next class so I won't be teaching this class again, but I will be at the side if you have any questions or need help."
Having said that, Tyr got everyone to leave.
Since 5 days have pasted, the military base decided to let the students have more normal classes like science, history, math, and the like because this is suppose to be a high school.
Even if it was for the military.
Just because they were training to be soldiers didn't mean the students could slack off on their studies.
The base did it in such a way was because the new students first had to get use to all the training to become soldiers and to see who is more talented than others.
Looking at the schedule provided in her ID, the class she had right now was a subject hated among many!
Math.
Getting to the classroom, Roseline put her head down to sleep through the class.
She wasn't going to waste her time trying to comprehend those weird numbers.

Atlas was walking around the base looking for Sean.
Atlas couldn't help but think that the report from before had something going on behind it.
So he went looking for answers.
Atlas soon got to Sean's office, knocking on the door three times before waiting.
After a while he heard Sean's voice.
"Come in."
Opening the door, Atlas went over to the chair across from Sean and sat down.
"Speak. Why are you here?"
"Yes sir. Sir, about the report you had gotten about the dragonkin, where exactly were they spotted?"
Sean though for a moment before responding.
"Up north above Canada."
