Toby had woken up first and started walking around to make sure nothing was taken or no one was gone, after this he went to go wash his face with water. He walked to the ocean and put water on his face when he turned back the camp was gone. He looked around but everything was gone: the trees, rocks, the island. He was alone on a pile of sand in the middle of the ocean, when he looked down he saw shadows of ghosts and big flying beasts above him circling. Suddenly the sand beneath him disappeared and he fell into a bottomless pit of water, he was unable to breathe and was panicking. He looked down and saw the jaws of the girl thing from yesterday arising and swallowing him.
Suddenly he woke up sweating from head to toe, he looked up and the camp was there again, Kymani was up and saw him, "Can't sleep either?" he asked Toby looking around, Toby nodded his head and stood up to actually wash his face, "Don't stand, they'll see you!" Kymani whispered as Toby got down. Toby went to where Kymani was and looked in the same direction, he saw deer glowing in beautiful colors, crystal antlers, and magical looks. When Toby saw this his eyes widened and smiled as he looked around admiring the majestic site, "Amazing isn't it?" Kymani said, looking at Toby with a smile on his face, "Amazing how something this pretty can live in such an awful place," he said. When the sun started to rise the deer ran away and the sense of security then fled from their bodies as the other boys woke up, "Well yall are up early," James said rubbing his eyes and yawning. The boys got ready for another expedition to try to map out the island taking the same route they took the day before, when they arrived at the point they were yesterday there were two paths.
"What way do we go?" Clayden asked, holding the map in creation, "Hmm I don't know to be honest," James said as he examined both of the paths. "Let's go left," Kymani said as the others agreed, "Why not right?" Jonathan said wanting to go down the right path, "Not much down there," Kymani responded as the others started going along the left path. Jonathan, despite wanting to go right, followed the rest of the group in going left. On this path, they walked for a while and saw the same forest they always have, "Why is there nothing?" Clayden complained as he drew the map, Kymani and Jonathan looked at the map so far and it looked boring. "Yeah this is just tragic," James said as the 4 boys looked at the barren and empty map. Toby decided to walk in front a little, he came running back to the others and got their attention but didn't look scared he looked excited. "You found something?" Jonathan asked as he shook his head, "Man why do I feel like I'm talking to him like a dog owner," Jonathan said as they all followed him.
When they got to the place Toby wanted to show them they didn't see the dark forest, no they saw beautiful trees, golden leaves and streams of water everywhere, fresh crops growing everywhere the eye could see, and animals that they were aware of like squirrels. "Whoa this is amazing," They all said together, Clayden started mapping this area, "This could be our sanctuary guys!" James said as he ran over to the streams and drank some water. The others followed except for Kymani who heard rustling in the leaves, he didn't want to ignore it and investigated, when he went to where the noise was he saw a little weird two-legged troll. "Well isn't that concerning yet cute?" he said to himself as he watched the little troll walk around and then fall down, the troll looked at Kymani and started to cry. "What the hell is that?" Jonathan said, holding his ears shut, "Hey, hey you ok little guy," Kymani said as the troll stopped crying and looked at him, then started deviously laughing. "That thing is annoying as hell," Clayden said walking over to it and slapping it, the troll didn't stop laughing and just pointed behind them, when they looked behind them they saw a huge fat angry troll mother holding a club.
The boys just looked at the mother troll then put the baby one down who ran to the mother, "Right mother troll give us one second real quick," James said as they turned and got in a group circle. "So uh, what do we do about this?" Jonathan asked, the rest of them just looked clueless, the mother troll got restless and snorted, "WE WILL BE WITH YOU IN A SECOND MAM!" Clayden yelled as he held up his finger telling the troll to hold on, the mother troll just looked around with a weird look and just stood there. "Right, so let's run it's fat it can't be that fast," Jonathan said as they all got out of their huddle, smiled at the troll, and started running, the mother troll chased them down the path that they arrived at and before the boys could go the path down to their camp the mother troll swang the club, "MOVE NOW!" James said as they jumped out of the way. The club split them into groups, Jonathan and Clayden were on the other side of the club and were forced to go down the other path they didn't want to before, the others were on the path back to camp. "Get back to camp, we'll be ok," Jonathan yelled as he grabbed Clayden running to the left path while the troll followed them, "No I will not get separated again!" Kymani said trying to run back but Toby grabbed his arm shaking his head no.
"If they die, it's on you," Kymani said angrily walking back to the camp, when they were back Kymani fell to the ground and punched the sand while yelling. "Hey man, they'll be ok," James said trying to calm him down, "Just don't put this on Toby, he was looking out for you," he said as a follow-up response, "You right," Kymani said just looking off into the distance. Meanwhile, Clayden and Jonathan ran as fast they could but the mother troll was gaining on them, "You dumbass you shouldn't have said that she couldn't be that fast," Clayden said, "Yeah I'll call fault on that one," Jonathan said as they ran. While running they saw a cave and decided to run in it but the mother troll had one final swing and crushed the cave entrance, avalanching rocks down. "You ok man?" Clayden asked as he sat down, "Yeah," Jonathan responded as he tried getting up but fell, he was unable to arise. He looked back and saw his foot trapped in the rocks, "That's not favorable," he said as he passed out.
