The skinwalker raised up its arm and swung at Kymani, but Kymani jumped out of the way and the skinwalker hit the side of their leaf tents, "Oh come on man," James said, grabbing the attention of the creature. The creature saw Toby still asleep and made its way towards him, "Noooo, not Toby," Kymani yelled as the skinwalker nudged Toby. Toby opened his eyes then rubbed them, when he realized what was going on he was face to face with the torn apart deer faced humanoid, *When did my english teacher get here* Toby thought as he smiled then got up and ran. "Oop, he is gone. He also left his backpack," James said as the skinwalker lashed out at him. He tried to jump out the way but was scratched in the process. "Shit you good man," Kymani said, giving him his and Toby's backpacks, "Yeah I'll manage," he responded. "Start running and catch up to Toby, I'll lead it away from here," Kymani said, helping him up, "Why would you stay back?" James asked, "I am the athletic one, and Jonathan's not here," Kymani responded. James looked at him. Despite wanting to help, he knew he was right and started running.
"Alright just you and me now," Kymani said as the skinwalker hissed. The skinwalker jumped, trying to slash but missed and hit the campfire. "Hold on, no, you can't do that. Do you know how long that took us to make that campfire work? no, you clean that mess up right now!" Kymani yelled out. The skinwalker looked embarrassed and tried to fix the campfire as best it could. "Thank you, where were we?" Kymani asked. The skinwalker lashed out at him, Kymani pulled out a butter knife he found and ducked under trying to stab the stomach but had no pass through "Damn, why did I think that a butter knife would work?" Kymani said aloud. The skinwalker shrugged, then grabbed a log and threw it at Kymani. James caught up to Toby handing him his backpack, Toby looked up at him and then looked around for Kymani, "he stayed back," James said out of breath. Toby just looked down and sighed, "We need to find somewhere else safe," James said, Toby agreed and followed him.
Kymani dodged the attack and tried to pierce the skinwalker's skin again but still had no luck, "Damn, how long will I be here?" Kymani asked as the skinwalker lashed out again. When Kymani was going to dodge, he tripped and got scratched on his arm, dropping the butter knife. The skinwalker's face started to expand as it looked to be smiling, as it lashed out, landing another hit on Kymani, making it to where he couldn't use his arms. "I can't die here," Kymani said, tears starting to form, before he could act the skinwalker grabbed him by his leg and slung him into a tree, the skinwalker got closer and was about to land the finishing blow. *Is this really how I die? I always knew it'd be a dumb reason, at least their safe, "Kymani thought as he saw the skinwalker's arm extend. The monster swung, and Kymani closed his eyes accepting his fate. When he didn't feel anything happen, he opened his eyes to see the humanoid creature "dad" holding the skinwalker's arm, tearing it off and grabbing the neck of the skinwalker and holding it up "Dad" looked it up and down and then placed its other hand on its waist, tearing it in half, Kymani barely keeping his eyes open didn't know if it was real. "Dad then walked over to Kymani, putting a hand over his eyes, making him pass out. "Maybe Kymani got out of there?" James said, wanting to go back. Before he could start going back for Kymai, Toby grabbed his arm, shaking his head, "What we can't go and check on him?" James asked Toby. He just looked at him and then opened his mouth, trying to muster out a word. It took him a little bit, but he started making a sound, then said "Danger," to James. James was happy that he was getting his voice back and just agreed to stay back and sat down.
"Alright let's get out of here," Clayden said, starting to climb the wall, "You sure you can climb?" Jonathan said, following at a slower pace due to his injuries. "Yeah of course I can climb," he said as he started to slip but was able to keep his composure. They climbed up the cage, making sure to pay attention to any movement in the bushes below, as they approached the top, a shadow flew over them, "What was that?" Jonathan yelled to Clayden, "It was probably just a bird," Clayden said, climbing down from the other side. When they got to the other side of the cage they started going the direction they thought the others were, but they were cut off by multiple shadows of birds circling them, "Oh great, thing after thing, seems like we can't catch a break what's next a T-rex pops out," Jonathan said as the birds landed. "Those are the same," Clayden said, "As the one on the cruise, yes," Jonathan said, finishing Claydens sentence.
"Well let's run," Jonathan said as he started stumbling away, Clayden looked at the birds and just laughed, "Giving the cripples a head start," he said laughing nervously as the birds started going towards him. "AAAH," Clayden yelled as he ran screaming in the girliest voice blowing past Jonathan's lead, "Oh come on im crippled," Jonathan yelled out as the looked behind him and saw the birds flying low, " Gentlemen i may not have a brain but i have an idea," he said quoting from the movie "monsters vs aliens". He stopped ducking and grabbed onto the legs of the birds flying along with them as they chased Clayden, When the bird noticed Jonathan, it started to fly higher. "Well this was stupid. i see that now," He said as he let go before being too high. He fell into a bush, the same bush coincidentally Clayden was in, "Stupid idea?" Clayden asked, Jonathan just lay there in pain "Yeah," He said out of breath. They decided to stay in the bush a while waiting for the birds to go away, which it didn't seem like the birds were going away anytime soon, "Ah well we're gonna be here a while," Jonathan said as Clayden nodded his head. "Also Jonathan, where is your backpack?" Clayden asked, "Oh that, I lost it," he responded, "Great," Clayden said.
