In some worlds, people are blessed with an incredible place but have limited ability to enjoy it. In others, they face a harsh and rough life but possess enormous potential to overcome such adversities and conquer the world around them. The living beings of Erebus, however, were gifted with both an amazing world and even greater potential to explore it. We could make this a paradise, yet for some reason... we chose not to. We limit ourselves to being just a bit better than the next... I... will never understand.
