Chapter 1 - Prologue

"Hold the defensive lines! Help is on the way!"

BOOM

Explosions lit up the dark battlefield. A woman levitating in the air shouted orders to thousands of soldiers, her voice echoing through the environment, amplified by the mana that filled the air.

"Miss, we need you in the west wing!" a voice whispered in the woman's ear.

"Give me a second, I'll relieve the battle here and be right there!" she responded.

Floating in front of her, runes began to form, glowing a bluish hue.

"7th circle magic!" she shouted. "Giantess Geyser!"

Suddenly, a large crater exploded from under the enemies' feet, releasing boiling water in the middle of the demon squad. Humanoids, animals, monsters, all with dark purple skin and red eyes, roared in pain but did not stop advancing towards the allied soldiers, composed of various races that had joined together for a common good.

"Argh, if I could just use my domain right now…" she cursed. "Damn it, Sirius! Where are you!?"

The demonic energy seemed to contaminate even the skies, making it completely dark, where not even the light of the stars could reach, at least… most of them.

As if the sun had risen, the sky lit up, shining the purest light, emanating from what seemed to be a meteor crossing the clouds.

"Finally…"

The meteor, which should have continued straight, made a 90º turn, descending directly towards the ground. The humanoid demons were the first to scream.

"RETREAT!"

But by then, it was too late.

BOOMMMM

In a thunderous explosion, the bright meteor hit the ground, shining across the battlefield. The more intelligent monsters didn't dare to approach, but the lesser ones weren't as lucky and peeked at what had made that crater dozens of meters wide. The weakest had their vision burned instantly, the strongest endured the first few seconds. For some reason, however, the light seemed to harm only those it saw as enemies and gave strength to those it saw as allies.

In the brief time they could see, all they could make out was a man. Wearing dark, light clothing, with long black hair like the night and amber eyes and light brown skin.

"Now… let's start from here…"
