Sebastian's heart cooled down after Winter gave him a sarcastic remark. He knew she didn't mean it when she called her husband, but was it wrong for him to wish for something more?

"I have my limits, too. I've been patient enough with her, but she dares to accuse you of—"Sebastian stopped abruptly as his forehead creased. He didn't dare to continue because he didn't want to remind Winter of her past miscarriages. 

Moreover, she had once jumped from the balcony while carrying their baby, making this an extremely sensitive topic that he didn't want to dwell on. 

"Accuse me of what? Dumb? Useless? Miscarriages? Infertile?" Winter listed all the things Cindy had said. She seemed unaffected by those words; truthfully, she felt nothing about it.

Winter had accepted that she'd never have his baby again. She didn't want to give birth to a child whose father wouldn't love it.
