But he didn't want her to be seen as a cruel woman who wanted to isolate her husband. Winter truly did nothing wrong, so Seb felt that he should take full responsibility for what happened, including jailing his mother. 

"No need to fret over it. He's gone now, and I'm sure that Lucien won't say anything after this," Winter said. "Now, let's focus on what's actually important."

"Ah, yes, the progress is going smoothly. Lucien likes to nitpick, but he is still a professional at heart. So, it should go at the same pace—or even a little faster than what happened in our previous lives," Sebastian explained, thinking that was what Winter deemed as important.

Winter smiled and sighed, "No, silly. That's not the 'important' thing I want to talk about."

"Oh?" Sebastian looked at Winter dumbly. "Did I miss something? Sorry, I've been preoccupied with work, I didn't pay enough attention."
