Chapter 12 - Rizo Town

The sound of the wagon being pulled by two horses moving against the unleveled ground began to resound at the back of the wagon bed.

Ethan and his trusted companion, Alpha, were inside the wagon with three other Individuals who seemed to also be traveling as well.

Folding himself at the corner of the wagons, Ethan sighed, looking at the people who were around him, and he couldn't sense a bit of goodness from them.

'Of course we just had to end up in a wagon filled with killers. Bad enough I had to save this fool of a girl from a giant bird, I also just happened to get a lift from a bunch of freaking assassins'.

"Hey there…" The woman in the face mask greeted Ethan, looking at him while hugging a long scythe. "Where are you headed to?".

"Uhn…. Wingx kingdom." Ethan replied, a cool and composed expression on his face in order not to give out the fact he had no idea where he was, or going to.

"Wingx kingdom? Isn't that where Lian's cousin is based?" Another one spoke, he had a sword on his lap, and also had long red hair.

"Yeah, I guess so, where in Wingx are you headed? Perhaps I can help you out." The person in question, Lian, was seated right beside the female, a helmet on his head and a longsword beside him.

"Ummm… I don't really know much about that kingdom, see i'm a traveler from the west, this is my first time being to this side of the continent." Ethan replied.

"West uhn…" The woman moved her gaze toward Alpha, scanning her as if she was a merchant looking at products to sell.

"So… is that the reason?" Asked the woman.

"What reason?" Ethan was confused as he also shifted his gaze towards Alpha.

"Yeah, and you might want to put a chain around it. It will definitely escape if you leave it like that." The man with the long sword added, looking directly at Alpha.

Ethan finally understood what they were talking about.

His brows frowned.

"Say that again." Ethan gazed, his growing anger fixed on the man.

"Say what? Buddy, you don't know how to chain a slave? Come now, that's like a universal study by it-"

Booom!

In a flash, Ethan had jerked up from his chair, his fist clenched and aimed directly at the man's face while his body was right in front of the man.

All this happened so fast no one could even react. All they could feel was the powerful wind and right after, Ethan, trying his best to hold down his punch.

The targeted man, although frightened by the speed of the boy, was ready to fight back. He was slowly reaching for his long sword, while locking eyes with him.

'Go back Ethan… Hold back….' Ethan whispered to himself, 'If you attack him now, you'll have to figure out Wingx kingdom on your own… chill… chill'.

His eyes snapped. And without saying a word, he took a few steps back and slowly returned to his seat.

They all followed him with their eyes, even Alpha, who was confused about the whole thing, kept looking left and right.

After a while of thick tension, Ethan finally spoke. He raised his hand to the side with a small smile on his face -

"Just as I suspected, you guys are actually strong… my bad".

They all paused, looking at each other before the man with the sword laughed.

"Hahah, good one, you had me there." He humored and the rest followed along.

Ethan laughed along, but deep down he knew, he wanted nothing more than to rip their heads off their shoulders.

After a while of traveling, the man driving the wagon suddenly yelled -

"We are currently at the outskirts of the Winxz kingdom!!!"

"We've arrived. Let's go." The woman said before she stood up from where she was and began her journey outside.

The rest followed behind her, including Ethan and Alpha.

The moment they stepped out for the wagon, they were met with a cold chilling breeze, followed by the full moon that just happened to be out that night.

'It's night already? Just how long were we traveling for.' Ethan uttered to himself while looking up at the sky.

"Welcome to Rizo Town, just outside the Kingdom." Said the man with the sword, stretching his hand and urging Ethan to look at him.

Turning his gaze towards where he was called, Ethan could see a small town just up ahead. It had a sign board right at the entrance with little building, reaching out to one another.

"Impressive uhn?" The man smiled expectantly at Ethan.

All he got was a weird smile from Ethan, followed by a, "Sureeee" response.

"Alright let's get moving." The woman began to move forward.

"Follow us traveler, we'll get you to the kingdom tomorrow. It's dark, you should spend the night here." Lian said, as he walked away.

Watching them walk, Ethan sighed, before looking at Alpha who was waiting to see if her master would follow them or take a different path.

'I guess we don't exactly have a choice. Kingdom tomorrow it is'.

And with that, both Ethan and Alpha followed them into the town.

…..

"Welcome back, Lian." Said the beautiful woman, who stood in the front of the huge building, with multiple other women behind her.

"I'm home, mother." Lian said, before moving closer to hug her.

'So this seems to be the biggest building here. They might be rich, hhehe, I have amazing luck.' Ethan said to himself with a smirk.

"How was your journey?" The woman asked, her black hair styled to the front, while dressed in a blue slim gown.

"Another failure." Lian replied with a sad look, and then his face brightened up, "But I happen to bring some guests for you".

Lian moved to the side, and there they were, Ethan and Alpha, standing a few distance away from the woman who was looking back at them.
