Chapter 61 - 61

Chapter 61 Out of Control Rocky and Yellow Bird

After several killings and robberies, Saul had already figured out Sid's way of moving.

He was still suspecting that when he was in danger in Mentor Kaz's lab, it was also inseparable from Cid.

If he hadn't been teleported back to his dormitory by Pink Da, he might have bumped into Cid, who had come to collect his body.

"By sending Jenna over, and still letting her die in front of me, he's paving the way for Rocky, or anyone else after him, to have a clear, clear motive for taking a shot at me."

"He must also know by now that I've learned a 0th level sorcery. In order to make sure that this time out, there won't be any more accidents, he has to come here personally to confirm it."

Saul raised his eyes to Kong Sha and said in as calm a tone as he could, "I am now able to cast sorceries that are getting stronger and stronger. If he doesn't make a move, he'll never have a chance."

Kongsha's mind rolled over slightly, and a few eyeballs loomed.

"But all of this is only possible if what's-her-name Jenna is indeed sent by Cid."

Saul said, "I'm fifty percent sure. But I think it's enough. Even if I'm wrong, it's just a couple of wasted afternoons for you – five days from now is the first test for our new apprentices, and he's bound to do it before then."

Saul, who had already learned a lot of sorcery after the test, was bound to be the best of the newcomers and highly regarded.

It would be even more risky for Cid to make his move.

"A few afternoons? You think I'm idle?" Konza grunted softly.

Saul revealed a difficult look, "I'm sorry senior sister, I'll find a way ..."

"Just the afternoon after tomorrow."

Sol froze, how could Kong Sha be so sure?

"You should have already let Sid know that I am your backer, right? The day after tomorrow afternoon ... is the day of my test."

Sol instantly frowned tightly, "You mean to say that Sid will specifically pick a time when you are not around."

"Of course, he has been plotting for so long, he will definitely pick the best time."

Saul's frown tightened even more as he gritted his teeth and asked, "Can you please ask your mentor to postpone the test?"

"That's impossible!"

"It can be ..."

"However, there is no problem with advancing it a bit."

Konza smiled, she seemed to enjoy seeing Saul's anxious look.

"You don't need the second potion I provided anyway, so it's no big deal for me to go ahead and test it for you."

Her eyes were hidden, staring at Saul's face one moment, and Saul's left hand the next.

"... Good luck, good luck."

Saul let out a long breath and his shoulders relaxed.

He lowered his head and raised a hand to wipe the non-existent cold sweat from his hair.

Two days later, on the second floor of the East Tower, the third corpse room.

Instead of continuing the experiment, Saul sat on the lab bench, absentmindedly flipping through the Conjectures on Soul Carriers that he had just gotten.

Although it was handed over to him by Pink Da himself, telling him to study it properly.

However, when Saul looked at the silk book in front of him, his legs and feet were shaking unconsciously, and his brain couldn't recognize what those words were about.

Often, when he turned to the next page, he realized that he didn't understand the previous page at all.

He had to turn the page back again.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Here it comes!

Saul's spirits lifted.

He hadn't gone to class again for the past two days, and traveled home at all hours, just to keep the spotlight on the corpse room.

The waiting was anxiety-provoking, and now it was finally about to begin.

Saul's entire being calmed down instead, his feet weren't shaking and his mind was clearer.

He put the silk book away and got up to open the door.

Outside the door was the incomparably haggard Rocky.

He should have not washed for a few days, the bottom of his eyes were green and black, and his eyes were red and bloodshot.

"What are you doing here?" Saul's tone was full of impatience and surprise.

But his left hand was already raised to his chest.

"You killed Jenna, didn't you?" Rocky stared at Saul, his eyes itching to nail Saul in the face.

"No." Sol's expression was grim, "Who told you that nonsense? Don't you know that killing apprentices is not allowed?"

Rocky's eyes grew crimson, "Then why did I see Jenna's red dress here? What did you do to her?" Saul was stunned, then recalled that Jenna had worn a conspicuous red dress the day she came to him.

But that dress had long since followed Jenna into the big box.

What did Rocky see?

Saul made an impatient look and skimmed his lips, "I've told you that I didn't kill Jenna, and I don't have any dresses here, so who's talking nonsense to you?"

But the opposite side of the room, Rocky had already completely failed to listen to Saul's words, only muttering silently under his breath, "It must be you, it must be you! These days, Jenna is blaming me for not finding her faster."

Jenna? Blaming him?

Had Rocky hit a bad spot or lost his mind?

Saul took half a step back.

But his movement immediately triggered Rocky.

"Don't you run! Give me back Jenna!"

Rocky unexpectedly took out a dagger from behind him and stabbed at Sol's chest.

Between swings, the dagger's blade was glowing with green light, and it was even smeared with poison!

Saul immediately raised his left hand and blocked Rocky's swinging arm, then he quickly chanted a spell and threw a "Mourning Gaze"!

Who would have thought that the opposite side of the Rocky this time, but completely did not show fear, only two steps back, and then once again raised his sword to swing.

And this time, his movements appeared to be much sharper, his mouth also recited "you kill her, you kill her".

There was something unlike the original timid Rocky.

Seeing that the first spell had no effect, Saul immediately retreated, and with the console behind him, he touched the long stick on the console and swung it out at the oncoming dagger.

The baguette was twice as long as the dagger, and swung it away with a single blow.

However, Rocky didn't dislodge it, and with a smooth release of force, his arm drew a half-arc in the air before stabbing at Sol again.

This was definitely not a strength or skill that Rocky could have.

The last time he came for Saul, he wouldn't have escaped back in such a sorry state even with half of his current strength.

"Who the hell are you!" Sol circled around behind the console, dodging Rocky's attacks.

Rocky had a grim smile on his face, but didn't answer.

He charged at Saul.

At that moment, the diary clattered out.

But Saul could only dodge while sweeping the diary's rapidly appearing words with his afterimage.

[Sol Calendar 314, May 23rd.

You were attacked by an unknown consciousness that descended upon Loki.

His dagger bears a horrible poison spell.

You were slashed in the chest.

You feel your insides melting, mixed with black blood that you spit out in one gulp.

After a long fight, you finish off your opponent with Strike Necromancy, thinking that this time you would finally survive.

But all is not lost.

a new enemy arrives.

A burst of flint flies through the door and lands at your feet.

You see fire ... and hell~]

There's someone else outside the door!

Saul immediately realizes that someone else is ready to strike at him, and it shouldn't be Cid either.

"A long fight? Looks like it'll have to be a quick one."

Sol rolled behind the teleportation pad again and immediately unleashed Strike Necro on Rocky.

The effect of Strike Necrotic was much stronger than Mourning Gaze.

The opposite Rocky obviously suffered heavy damage, and on his face, black smoke began to rise from his skin.

Movement also became sluggish.

"It really is a ghostly addition. If the diary hadn't mentioned it, I'm afraid I wouldn't have used this spell so quickly."

After all, the Rocky in front of him was a living person anyways.

It was hard to quickly think that he had been possessed by a dead spirit for a while.

However, a single strike against the Necromancer could not directly resolve the enemy across from him.

If the fight continued like this, it really might take some more time.

But Saul couldn't wait, the Yellow Bird outside the door would soon appear, he couldn't wait to be sneak attacked by the Yellow Bird!

On the opposite side, Loch jumped onto the teleportation platform and raised his dagger high, his face grimacing as he tried to pierce Sol's heart.

However, Saul directly drew one out of his sleeve, a disposable wand that cost him so many credits to exchange from Kongsa!

"Cold Ice Dagger!"
