Chapter 60 - 60

Chapter 60 The Strongest Level 2 in Combat

Monroe let out a long sigh.

Sol was still waiting for Monroe to continue, but that was all the other man was going to answer to the second question.

When Saul asked in more detail, Monroe said that it wasn't something Saul should know right now.

Seeing that there was only the last bit of hourglass left.

Saul immediately asked, "May I ask, who is the most powerful second level apprentice in the Sorcerer's Tower right now?"

Monroe smiled, "Right now, the one who is recognized as having the strongest combat power is a second level apprentice named Kong Sha who majors in dark attribute elements. It's just a pity that the most powerful doesn't mean the most likely to advance to the third level."

As Monroe's last word fell, the last grain of sand from the blue hourglass fell into the glass below.

"Time's up, want to renew?" Monroe touched the small hourglass and seemed ready to turn it upside down again.

But Saul shook his head, thanked Monroe, and turned back to his seat.

For his part, Monroe dispersed the sorcery with some interest, put away the hourglass, and resumed reading.

Walking back, Saul passed the long table where Duke and Dozer were, but didn't see Rocky.

Both men subconsciously avoided his gaze when Saul looked over.

Returning to his seat and sitting down, Saul shared a bit of information when he saw Kori looking over.

"One credit for five minutes to keep the issue secret, but it will cost you an extra point ... if you trust him to keep it secret."

Kori frowned, "Still expensive, why don't you ask your tutor?"

Saul looked over at Kori in confusion, "You get to see your mentor often?"

Korrie said, "Not very often, once every three or four days."

Saul was speechless, it was only three or four days, he could only see Mentor Kaz once in ten days sometimes.

Whether he was willing to answer his questions or not depended on Kaz's mood and how busy he was.

The other Pink Da ... Sol who had secretly guided him and could barely be considered a mentor had only met him twice so far.

After class, Saul was originally prepared to go to the meditation class with Korie, but his afterglow glanced at both Dozer and Duke walking in the opposite direction, his feet lurched, and he decided to give up on this meditation class for now.

Korie was walking, and Saul spit out a lot of people have some quirky movements when they meditate, but halfway through the conversation, he realized that Saul had disappeared again at some point.

Korrie rolled her eyes hard.

...

Sixth floor of the West Tower, dormitory area.

Saul walks past the entrance to 613 and 614 as he walks back to his dorm.

At that time, it seemed that Dozer was about to knock on the door, but glancing at Saul, he hastily turned his feet and returned to room 613.

Saul glanced up, 614 should be occupied by Rocky.

He thought to himself, "Has Rocky been hiding in the dormitory since I scared him away yesterday? Is there no one else behind him? Or is it really just love?"

Saul's life after becoming an apprentice was not quite the same as any of the other apprentices; there were no nice pastime activities after studying.

There were only corpses, not fresh blood, and souls that jerked every now and then.

So he couldn't quite understand that a young boy would go straight into danger for a little girl.

Maybe it was because people in this world were more precocious.

Saul returned to his dormitory, thought about pushing the door open a small crack again, and probed in the direction of 614.

He didn't see Dozer going to look for Rocky, but instead saw Duke coming out from inside 614.

"Duke, why are you everywhere?" Saul narrowed his eyes.

Duke didn't go back to his dormitory even after he came out of Rocky's room, but walked to the end of the corridor and went up the ramp.

Before going up, Duke even looked back a bit, as if he was looking to see if anyone was following him.

The ramp was not covered in any way, so Saul naturally did not follow him up like this.

But even if he didn't follow him up, he could still guess that Duke was going to look for someone.

... In the middle of the night, Saul left the dormitory and crawled upstairs.

The Sorcerer's Tower at night was still cold and oozing, and the dim candlelight could only illuminate a small area close by.

When Saul was a servant, he always worried about whether a ghostly face would suddenly appear in those areas where the light could not reach.

Now even though he was already an apprentice wizard, he still feared those dark corners.

When he walked to the tenth floor, Saul stopped for a moment.

There seemed to be a dark shadow hovering in the corridor of the tenth floor, but when Saul looked over carefully, he couldn't see anything again.

Without looking any further, he picked up speed and walked to the thirteenth floor.

Kongsha's door opened at the first knock, and the other man was probably waiting for him as well.

"Cid's going to do it."

Konsa had just closed the door behind him when Saul said bluntly.

"Can you be sure? The consequences of striking out to kill a second level apprentice in the Sorcerer's Tower for no reason are still very serious. Everything here belongs to the ... tower master." Kongsha shuddered and took a deep breath, as if the mere mention of the title terrified her, "Have you thought about the cost of getting the wrong person and becoming the active attacker?"

Sol said, "I know, the apprentice rules are clearly written."

Apprentices have to lose credits for killing a servant without reason, apprentices have to be flayed and lose credits for killing an apprentice without reason, and mentors can do whatever they want to the apprentice if they hurt the mentor without reason.

"But all of those rules have a caveat of 'without cause', and as long as I was resisting and killed Cid by mistake, it's not without cause."

Seeing Kong Sha pursing her lips and not saying anything, Saul spread his hands, "Sister, Cid has already taken control of the two newcomers around me. When he strikes again, it will definitely be a killing move. Do you really want to see me die under Sid's calculations?"

After all, it was a pawn that had been pressed into the corpse room with great difficulty.

Though the pawn got out of control halfway through.

Saul tried to sound as sincere as possible, "How about following the plan. You, take the brain of a second level apprentice, and me, one less enemy."

Kongsha's red lips suddenly curled up as she sat backward in her chair, her toes circling in the air.

"Tell me your detailed plan."

Saul's mind was relieved that the second step of the plan was reached!

He connected his experience in the past two days with Sid's actions.

A lot of this was speculation.

But Saul didn't have to verify whether the guesses were true or false, right or wrong, as long as Syd showed up at the last minute.

"He first contacted a girl Jenna ... Mutual who had been in the Mutual you know about that, don't you?"

Konza nodded.

Even Kong Sha knew about the Mutual Aid Association, I'm afraid that the energy of this Mutual Aid Association was even greater than what Saul thought.

"That newcomer discovered the Mutual Aid Society's parasite and sought me out for help, but exploded in front of me."

Kong Sha touched her lips, "The Mutual Aid Society's parasites aren't fatal, that shouldn't be the Mutual Aid Society's handiwork."

"That's what I thought, and that explosion was small enough that even if I hadn't gotten wary of Jenna, it would have been hard to die in the explosion." Saul scowled, he could still remember the last second of the explosion, the girl looking at him with hopeful eyes.

Saul returned to his senses and continued, "So, I guessed that Jenna must have had a backhand afterward. Sure enough, a few days later, a boy named Rocky came to me in order to track down Jenna."

"And he died?"

"No, but he didn't show up for a few days after that either. But it was because he wasn't dead that I had a hunch that he would come looking for me again. And when he comes for me again, that's when Sid's killing move will come."

Konsa's fingers rubbing her lips stopped, "I'm not following you here. Why don't you just kill him if you know he was sent by Sid as well?"

"A known enemy is always better to target than an unknown one." Saul slowly explained for Konsa, "Cid is a cautious man, he never takes matters into his own hands. Everything bad that requires killing is done by having someone else do it. But now that I've angered him and my strength is growing rapidly, he will not want to miss again if he strikes at me again."

"For that reason, he will definitely show up at the end to make sure his plan doesn't fall through."

In fact, Saul was certain that Sid would show up, being certain that the other party would definitely come over to look for the Death Wizard Diary, so that he wouldn't be picked up by a passerby who had picked up the bag.

However, the matter of the diary definitely couldn't be leaked in the slightest.
