Chapter 52 - 52

Chapter 52 Who's Behind Her

Jenna saw Kori's hesitant face and went to pull on her pants again.

"Ms. Kori, Your Highness Kori, please, for the sake of us being from the same duchy."

Kori bit her lip, "I can't promise you that for anyone else, but I can go ask for you tomorrow."

Jenna actually wanted Korrie to go get someone today, right now, right away, but she looked at the expression on Korrie's face and knew that today was out of the question.

Jenna stood up sadly.

She hadn't been sleeping well since she found out about the parasite.

Tonight, I'm afraid it's going to be another hard night to sleep.

Kori finally got rid of Jenna.

If it wasn't for the fact that they had grown up together, she really didn't want to get involved in the Mutual Aid Society's troubles.

Returning to the dormitory area, Kori knocked on the door to Saul's room.

"Who?"

Saul didn't get up immediately when he heard the knock.

He had gotten used to making sure what was outside the door before he opened it every time.

"Your old pair."

"..."

The word had been taught to Kori in jest by Saul, and Kori pronounced the word in a raw, childlike voice that had a different feel to it.

Saul had just opened the door a small crack when Korie came in under Saul's arm in a flash.

As soon as Saul closed the door, Korie said impatiently, "Saul, I might have to get you in trouble."

"Huh?"

"It's Jenna, you probably don't remember ..."

Kori repeated what Jenna had done to find her, then said helplessly, "She seems to be sure that I was once parasitized and got rid of it again, so she's on to me."

Thinking about Jenna's pale face, and frightened eyes, Korie added, "Can you tell me where I can find Hokage Byron? I'll ask the Hokage if I can strike again, or have Jenna pay for her own life."

Saul, however, was in no hurry to say yes or no, but instead hugged his arms and sat back down at the long table.

"Jenna had joined the Mutual Aid Society a long time ago, so why did she suddenly find herself being parasitized?"

Seeing Saul's skepticism, Kori also began to calm down and ponder Jenna's abnormality.

"She said a second level senior helped her."

"A second level ... senior?" Sol snorted, "Who's that enthusiastic? Another Rokai?"

Cid's face floated in Saul's mind.

Would it be him again?

The new apprentice that Cid had brought back that could take Saul's place had been cleanly taken care of by Konza.

After that, Cid had been silent and hadn't jumped out again.

But this tranquility didn't make Saul feel safe, instead it was more like an ocean with a tsunami brewing.

Now that the two had completely torn themselves apart, Sid wouldn't let Saul off the hook, and Saul wouldn't let him off the hook either.

"So why did Jenna come after you?"

"She said that after I was the only one who went to the Mutual Aid Society once, I never showed up again, so she should have discovered the abnormality of the Mutual Aid Society."

Saul thought for a moment and then asked, "If that parasite is really as obvious as you say, why didn't the other people in the Mutual Aid Association react? For example, Dozer, at that time, he also invited me to join the Mutual Aid Society."

Korrie sniffed and frowned slightly, "You think there's something unusual about Jenna? Are they trying to use me?"

Sol, however, looked relaxed, "No need to be nervous, it's not your fault, after all, there are some things you don't know yet."

Kori looked at Sol in surprise.

Saul's face was smiling, but it still made Kori feel slightly exasperated.

She realized that Saul had had some unusual experiences, but they were experiences she couldn't participate in or even know about.

It was all because she was too weak right now.

Keeping her from knowing was instead a form of protection.

Kagome didn't like to mind her own business, but even more so, she didn't like that she wasn't even capable of minding her own business.

"So am I still in charge of Jenna's business?" Kagome asked with a pout. "Pipe! You tell her to meet me on the second floor of the East Tower tomorrow at 3pm."

"The second floor of the East Tower?" Kori realized then that Sol was staying somewhere whenever she skipped class, "What's there?"

"It's where I work." Sol paused for a moment and added, "It's the floor where the bodies are stored."

Kori left with a complicated look on her face.

Sol thought she might be sympathizing.

But Saul felt that he didn't need sympathy, he even thought that the current job was very suitable for him.

It was because of the opportunity to work on the second floor of the East Tower that Saul was able to find the materials needed for his transformation so quickly and complete the transformation of his witch body.

Otherwise, just to gather enough materials for the experiment alone, he might have had to incur a large amount of external debt.

The door to the room closed, and Saul stretched his left hand out from under his sleeve.

Because of his white-boned left hand, he was used to shrinking his hand into his long sleeve.

Therefore, Kerri did not notice any abnormality, but in reality, Saul's left hand had already changed from a white bone to a grayish-brown skinned, somewhat oddly shaped "normal" palm.

The original pale artificial skin had been oxidized over the course of the day and turned gray with a hint of brown.

However, the fusion with Saul's body was also completed.

This grayish-brown color also spread and fused towards the small arms, causing the front part of Saul's elbows to turn a light gray color.

His left hand could now move freely and would turn into an elemental ion collector when Saul meditated, greatly improving Saul's meditation efficiency.

Most importantly, Saul's magical talent had also improved slightly, though only a little.

Currently, Saul's magic power value, after stabilizing his left hand, reached a staggering 13 joules.

This might not necessarily be the highest value among the new apprentices, but the improvement was definitely the greatest.

No wonder Senior Byron was willing to offer a hundred credits in exchange for Saul's witch body transformation formula.

It was just that Elder Byron didn't have that many credits on hand either.

Now Saul had become a debtor.

Senior Byron owed Saul a request and owed him nearly a hundred credits.

That's the value of knowledge.

Though this value was something that Saul relied on his diary and tried out to death.

...

Korie, who had left Sol's room, hadn't noticed that Jenna had actually been hiding in Rocky's quarters, peeking through the doorway to see where she was going.

"She went off to find Saul, then she went back to her dorm ..." Jenna murmured, "She didn't go anywhere else. Saul, it has to be Saul! But why would it be Saul?"

Jenna couldn't figure it out, according to Duke, Saul's magical talent couldn't even support him to unleash two zero-order sorceries.

How could such a person have the means to help Korrie with the parasite problem?

"Or did Saul know someone?"

Jenna was extremely disturbed.

At that moment Rocky's dormitory door was suddenly pushed open from the outside, nearly hitting Jenna.

"Sorry ... Huh, Jenna, why are you in Rocky's dorm?"

Outside the door were Dozer and Duke, both of whom saw Jenna in Rocky's room and had odd looks in their eyes.

Jenna straightened up, avoiding the sight of the two men.

With Dozer and Rocky both attending the support meeting and not noticing anything unusual about their bodies, Jenna was afraid to alert them for fear of being found out by Rokai.

"I… I came to ask a few questions."

Dozer laughed out loud, "Then you should come to me, or go to Rokai-senpai, Rocky he'll what?"

Rocky had been standing behind Jenna, and when he heard Dozer's words, his eyes flashed and he muttered in a low voice, "I, I learned all the basic runes too."

"Yes, yes!" Realizing that he had spoken a bit too much, Dozer playfully laughed and put on Rocky's shoulder without saying anything to apologize.

Duke, however, kept his eyes on Jenna and suddenly smiled, "Jenna, were you just ... peeking at Sol's dormitory?"
