Chapter 57 - 57

Chapter 57 – An Enemy That Cannot Be Defeated

Seven o'clock in the evening.

Time to get off work.

It was rare for Saul to get off work at a stuck time.

Even though he had obtained some more useful alienation materials today, it still didn't allow him to get excited again.

The corpses that had been processed by Senior Byron were safe enough for Saul to work and walk away at the same time.

The words of Mentor Kaz always echoed in his mind with his erratic attitude.

Although it was tempting to attribute everything to Kaz being mentally ill, Saul's intuition told him that there was another reason for this, I'm afraid.

"Soul Talent, the focus must be on Soul Talent, what does Mentor Kaz want me to utilize this talent for?" Saul thought as he walked, not paying any attention to the path beneath his feet.

He wouldn't go wrong under normal circumstances, after all, he had been walking this path for almost three months.

But today he realized that he had been walking for what seemed like a long, long time.

How could the next level of turns be so far away from him?

Realizing something was wrong, Saul looked up and around warily.

He had encountered this kind of ghostly situation before, and the last time the mushroom that grew above his head was precisely the one that he had ruthlessly smashed.

Could it be that he had encountered a similar situation again?

But he didn't feel that there was anything unusual about the guests he received today, right?

At that moment, the candlelight by the wall suddenly turned dim.

The shadows in the corners of the wall fled in all directions as if they were revitalized.

Saul immediately narrowed his eyes and pressed his right hand into his coat pocket, while his left hand was crossed in front of him.

Mourning Gaze, Searing Breath and Strike Necromancy.

The rune constructions and incantations of the three 0th rank sorceries quickly passed through his mind.

The ramp was unusually quiet.

It was as if even the voices were hiding in fear.

Saul looked up suddenly, and he could sense someone standing at the turn ahead of him.

Was it Sid's new tactic?

But if this person was Sid's killing move, then Jenna and Rocky were a wasted move.

The man across the street was too powerful, so powerful that Saul didn't know who to compare him to!

Could Cid order someone like this?

Saul raised his head and shouted, "No matter what you are, no matter who's compulsion you've listened to, I advise you not to make a move inside the Sorcerer's Tower."

The feeling of danger did not go away, and the man was still standing behind the corner wall.

"My mentor is Kaz, and he thinks highly of me! If you want to be banished like Cid, you can try your hand."

The man behind the wall did not move.

So awkward.

But there's no way around it. The big deal is apologizing when you're mistaken.

If this could be used to make a possible enemy half as scary, it was all worth it.

After tearing his face off with Sid, Saul had already begun to lay out his backhand.

It was just that all plans were useless in front of an absolutely powerful force.

Heavy thoughts flashed through Saul's mind.

Just as he was thinking about whether or not to activate the code word for help now, the person behind the wall finally moved.

The pressure widened.

Saul no longer hesitated and immediately crushed the pill bottle in his coat pocket.

A white smoke immediately enveloped Saul's entire body, and then ...

jumped up and down and burrowed into the stone crack in the corner and disappeared.

Saul's jaw dropped, and he backed up repeatedly, in shock and disbelief.

This Concealing White Mist was the potion that Senior Byron had sold him to use to escape and hide.

Saul had even wasted one in advance to verify the effects.

Under normal circumstances, this white mist would cover the area around him of about ten meters.

Together with the second potion he prepared for blurring the scent, it was enough for him to temporarily escape from the enemy's lock.

However, today, before he had the chance to crush this second potion, the white mist formed by the first potion even ran away in front of him!

Do you still want to be ashamed?

But this also made Saul realize that I'm afraid that the enemy that appeared this time really wasn't something he could deal with.

Even if the diary showed up at the critical moment to prompt a death warning, Saul was afraid that he wouldn't have the ability or time to avoid the killing machine. Saul's right hand hidden in his coat pocket immediately let go of the second potion and turned to press and crush the third one.

The third potion, was for calling for help.

Senior Byron received the signal and would come immediately.

If you're in time, save your life. If you're not, collect your body.

Anyway, West Germany won't get the diary!

After doing this, Saul instead calmed down, puffed out his chest, and waited for the enemy to appear.

Then a thin yet extremely tall man, all wrapped up in pink bandages, came around the corner.

Saul drew a long breath, as if his heart had stopped beating.

"I really didn't think he'd be able to hire you, just to kill me, isn't that too big of a deal?"

The pink bandaged man cocked his head, doubt flashing in his silver eyes.

Seeing the other man's reaction, a glimmer of hope rose in Saul's heart, and his stiff heart began to beat playfully.

"You ... are not here to kill me?"

The pink bandaged man's eyes curved at the corners of his eyes and he seemed to be smiling.

"Like you said, who could please me?"

The other party's voice was still as gentle as ever.

Pink Da wasn't here to kill him?

Pink Da didn't come to kill him!

Saul's taut nerves suddenly relaxed, and the breath he had sucked in finally came out.

It was only then that he felt his hands and feet trembling gently.

He smiled bitterly and said, "It's good that it's not, if Pink Da is going to make a move, there's definitely no way for me to escape, and the backhand that I've prepared is meaningless."

Pink Da slowly walked down.

It was only then that Saul had the energy to notice that the other man's toes had been pointing.

He walked lightly and unsteadily, seeming to fall at any moment and seeming not to fall at all.

It was like the wind blowing through the reeds, after the wind, the reeds would still stand firm.

"Pink Da?" The other approached Saul and repeated suspiciously.

"Ah!" Saul then realized that due to the illusion that he had just come back from the dead, he had accidentally called out the title Pink Da.

"That, I ..." Saul anxiously tried to explain.

But he didn't expect the person across from him to bend the corners of his eyes again.

He held out his own hand in a somewhat odd position, as if it didn't want to be lifted by him.

"You think I look good in pink, too, don't you?"

This unfolding made Saul a little uneasy, and thankfully the other man didn't dwell on the subject.

"Then you can call me Pink Da." Seeing that Sol was a bit startled, Pink Da lowered his hand, "Are you still working on witch body modification lately?"

Pink Da actually knew about himself and was still paying attention to him?

Sol had never forgotten that Pink Da had saved his life in the lab.

He felt afraid that he couldn't be a good person in the future, but he wouldn't be an ungrateful person either.

Pink Da had saved his life without asking for anything in return.

Thor knew that Pink Da was strong and powerful, but he also always remembered the other party's advice and never mentioned him to anyone.

He also did not want to take advantage of Pink Da's power, after all, just one side of the relationship.

But he never thought that Pink Da also pay attention to his every move.

Was he simply curious, or did he have something up his sleeve like Kongsa?

"Yes." Saul raised his left hand, not hiding it, "My first transformation, a fluke."

Pink Da, however, did not scrutinize Saul's left hand like Mentor Kaz did.

He didn't even glance at it.

"But Saul, your talent shouldn't be wasted on witch body modification. Since your magic power is already up to par, you should focus on truly useful knowledge."

"Truly useful knowledge?" Saul didn't understand, something as valuable as sorcerous body modification wasn't considered useful?

Then what else is there?

Saul remembered Mentor Katz's lecture today.

"Are you referring to my soul talent? But I don't even know how to use this talent."

"Is the book I gave too basic? Or are you a bit dumber than I thought?" Pink Da's voice was laced with laughter, not at all angry.
