Looking up All that could be seen were dark clouds indicating another day of having to watchout for the acid rain. Sighing damian knew that this could go on for moths
Looking around Damian couldn't help but feel annoyed at how he had to hope from building to building to hide from this forsaken acid rain. This trip was only supposed to take 5 days and now it has already been 7 days. Seeing as how there was some time before the rain would come Damian packed up the remaining food and water that should last him 2 days.
Looking around through the hole in the wall of the building he was staying in from the last storm Damian could see only the remnants of stone buildings that remained from the ancient civilization and the purple trees that were growing out of the crack in the concrete ground. Seeing one building that looked rather intact he decided that that was his best bet to find something worth valuable so as to bring to the merchants and not starve to death.
Not seeing any other sight of life beside the trees Damian decided to head out knowing that this was his best moment before it started raining again or something else arrived. Traveling along the ruins Damian could see his objective insight into a circular building 4 meters tall and 3 meters tall. 'Yes! Finally' Damian had been trying to find this place for some time now he read from one of the old books here that this place was a hot spot for the rich to travel to and that this was his best bet to find something here.
Out of caution Damian decided to jump onto one of the large boulders to look around he quickly took cover after only no more than a second. 'Shit, shit, shit. This couldn't possible have gone worse' What he saw only brought the worst possible outcome to come to life what he saw was a beast called a stalk
These beasts have earned the name bringer of death from most of the other scavengers. These beasts had the body of wolves who stood 5 feet tall with silver fur that could only be penetrated by skilled veterans with high class equipment, stalk's claws and teeth as sharp as knives. The worst part about a stalk was the stinger on their back that injected a venom that was fast acting and caused excruciating pain.
*Bump*
*Bump*
Calming his heart Damian decided to think about what he could do, he could try and wait for these beasts to leave. But that was too much of a risk. These beasts had excellent sense of smell and hearing. Seeing the best course of action was to find cover.
Looking back over he could see 6 stalks gathered around what looked like the remains of their prey with one standing out in particular that stood 6 feet tall with black fur seeing this must be the leader he felt more dread . one on its own would have been enough to kill him. Now adding this one his odds of getting away were smaller.
Deciding to take this chance to escape to the building that was about 200 meters away he decided to traverse tree to tree so as to stay out of their sight. Luckily the wind was blowing in the opposite direction of the wolves. Now only no more that 50 meters from his destination. He could feel hope of getting out of this dangerous situation.
