As the newly wedded couple descended to the crowd, The Hotel Launch begun.
The sound of music and champagne glasses filled the air. The hotel's launch ceremony was about to begin, and the excitement was palpable.
Ryan Walter, resplendent in a tailored suit, stepped up to the microphone.
"Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends and family, welcome to the grand opening of the Walter Hotel!"
she exclaimed, her voice booming through the crowd.
The crowd erupted into applause as a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place.
Trina and Romeo, now officially husband and wife, were invited to join Ryan and her family to cut the ribbon.
As they posed for photos, Trina's smile seemed to falter for a moment, and Romeo's eyes locked onto hers, his expression unreadable.
The tension between them was still palpable, a reminder that their marriage was just beginning.
As the night wore on, the party showed no signs of slowing down.
The music was loud, the champagne was flowing, and the crowd was having the time of their lives.
Romeo and Trina, still basking in the glow of their newlywed status, were surrounded by well-wishers. Friends, family, and acquaintances all came to congratulate them, offering words of wisdom, advice, and encouragement.
Romeo's friends from the business world came to shake his hand and offer their congratulations.
"You've made an excellent choice, Romeo," one of them said. "Trina is a wonderful woman."
As the congratulations continued to pour in, Trina and Romeo exchanged smiles and hugs, trying to pretend that they were a real couple.
At this time Trina thought of her mother who was in the hospital and couldn't attend the wedding.
' Mom, It's sad that you were unable to attend my wedding. I wish you were here to share this beautiful moment. I am certain about the future, But today I am so happy.'
She said in her head. Romeo noticed her absent minded and turned to her,
" Is everything okay ?" He asked,
" Mm" Trina Lied and dried off her tears.
They were there when Camilla made her way through the crowd, a bright smile plastered on her face.
"Congratulations, you two!" she exclaimed, her voice dripping with sincerity.
Romeo's eyes met Camilla's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.
The tension between them was palpable, but Camilla quickly broke the spell by turning to Trina.
"Trina, you look stunning," Camilla said, her voice genuine. "I'm so happy for you both."
Trina smiled, her eyes narrowing slightly as she took in Camilla's words.
She knew that Camilla and Romeo had a history, and she couldn't help but wonder if Camilla's congratulations were truly heartfelt.
" Thank you.." Trina responded.
" I am.." Before Romeo could say anything Ryan came in.
"I'm so sorry to interrupt, but I need to steal the happy couple away for a photo opportunity," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Romeo and Trina exchanged a glance, and then Romeo offered Camilla a polite smile.
"Excuse us," he said, before turning to follow Ryan.
Trina trailed behind them, her eyes flicking back to Camilla, who was watching them with an enigmatic smile.
" Happy couple ?" Camilla asked herself in disbelief after they had disappeared.
As the photo shoot came to a close, Ryan handed Trina a bouquet of flowers.
"Congratulations again, you two," she said, beaming. "I can finally call you my daughter.." Ryan spoke.
Just then, a sleek black limousine pulled up to the entrance of the hotel.
The driver, dressed in a crisp uniform, stepped out and opened the door.
"Your ride awaits," Ryan said, smiling. "Have a safe and wonderful trip." she said pushing Trina to Romeo.
Then she went to him and said. " Son, Take care of Trina."
" Okay Mom."
Romeo offered Trina his arm, and together they walked towards the limousine.
They sat at the back of the car as the driver set off.
As soon as the driver set off Romeo released Trina's hand.
" I can't believe that you were so happy all the wedding long !" He sneered,
" What are you talking about ?" Trina asked confused.
" What am I saying ? Don't you know I didn't want this marriage, I can't believe that you are my wife !" He spat out.
Trina's face burned with hurt and anger.
"What's wrong with you?" she demanded, her voice shaking. "Why are you being so cruel?"
Romeo's expression didn't change, but his voice took on a condescending tone.
"Oh, poor Trina. Can't handle a little bit of truth?"
Trina's eyes welled up with tears, but she refused to let them fall. She turned away from Romeo, staring out the window at the passing scenery.
The rest of the ride was silent, the only sound the soft hum of the engine and the occasional passing of another vehicle.
Trina's mind was reeling, trying to make sense of Romeo's sudden change in behavior.
As the limousine pulled up to the resort, Romeo didn't even wait for the driver to open the door.
He pushed it open himself and stepped out, not bothering to offer Trina his hand or wait for her to follow.
Trina's eyes narrowed, her anger and hurt simmering just below the surface.
She took a deep breath and stepped out of the limousine, her eyes scanning the luxurious resort.
The driver handed her a small bag, and Trina took it, her mind racing with thoughts of what she was going to do. She didn't even want to be on this honeymoon anymore.
Romeo was already walking away, not even looking back to see if Trina was following. Trina's eyes flashed with anger, and she quickened her pace, determined to confront him.
