Synopsis
The first time I found out I was in a BL novel was when I was ten. It was was during the beginning of spring when I was invited to the ducal estate to befriend the son of the duke, a young prodigy never seen before. At first, I only accepted the invitation as a distraction but I rapidly realized that Mainu Frederic Dupont was more than a mere hot topic and sensation. He was in fact the protagonist of a dark BL novel reverse harem. A true dark horse. Moreover, he was the one who ended the life of the character who I reincarnated in: Georgia Premeson, the atrocious twin sister of one of the main villains, Ricardo Premeson. If at first I thought I reincarnated in a mere fantasy world, graced with the gift of enormous magic talent, soon things changed. From then on, my life took twists and turns, as I tried to navigate in my new reality and survive my impending death while protecting my twin brother.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Prologue (corrected)

The first time I found out I was in a BL novel was when I was ten. It was during the beginning of spring when I was invited to the ducal estate to befriend the son of the duke, a young prodigy I had never seen before.

The high society was in awe: curiosity and fascination burned them for the young boy. He was a hot topic and even a sign of a new era for some.

Everyone wanted their children to be acknowledged by Mainu Frederic Dupont.

I, myself, found him quite intriguing, which led me to accept the invitation. I wanted to know what kind of child could captivate those petty nobles. Was he that extraordinary? How could a mere child create such a big sensation?

That's how I came to leave my humble-not so humble -house to go to what I considered a big joke. One that I couldn't miss.

Again, I wore my most flattering mask: one of kindness and tranquility, a tendency I had had for as long as I could remember.

I was a queen of false pretense and big masquerades.

As the butler led us—me and the other children—to the tearoom, I found myself discretely observing the enormous estate. The place was nothing like I ever saw before: it was a symbol of opulence and power, but mostly dignity. A reflection of the owners, the aces of our country.

Sure, everything was beautiful and grandiose, but the paysage still fell short in the face of the true masterpiece, the young master of the ducal house. Suddenly, I totally understood the fascination of those greedy nobles for him. He was outstanding, if not outworldly. No words could truly describe his beauty and his aura. His only presence could illuminate the entire place, which was nearly impossible given the insanely bright time and the architectural design of the tearoom.

His face looked like it had been carved in jade, made directly by God himself with the utmost care possible.

He had a doll's complexion, white and rosy, without any impurities whatsoever. His nose was thin and long, perfectly placed in the center of his round, juvenile face. Beautiful rosy-shaped lips, alluring but solemn. And finally, like the icing on the cake, he had a pair of bewitching blue eyes. The same eyes were accentuated even more by his long, straight white polar hair.

The child was only in the beginning of his teenage years, but I could already see the future devastation that he would cause. Many hearts would surely be broken.

But his appearance was surely not the biggest surprise he would give us. The future would unravel his genius mind and incomparable talent and abilities. He would be like a shining star in a nearly empty, dark sky.

"Hello everyone…. My name is Mainu Frederic Dupont. It is a pleasure for me to receive you all today." Mainu began, seemingly unfazed by the numerous shocked gazes.

"My servants will make sure that this will be a pleasant afternoon for everyone, so don't hesitate to ask for anything. I, as a host, expect you to not be too polite."He continues, in the same monotonous tone, before flashing us with the most enchanting smile ever.

My heart skipped a bit, to be honest. Something that I would have never expected, which led me to second-question myself.

Huh, he's bad for my health. I am afraid he could give me heart disease.

"Please, take seats," voiced the butler, breaking the atmosphere of incredulity and awe.

As for the rest of the day, I do not recall it clearly. I was in a semi-state of shock, trying to control my racing mind. I had the weird feeling that I knew him from somewhere and that his role in my life was not that small. He would influence greatly in my destiny, that I was sure.

It was in that state that I came back home, my mind out of place and half-crumbling. The only word I could think of was Mainu Frederic DuPont, Mainu Frederic DuPont, Mainu Frederic Dupont…. A name repeated itself again and again, as if to remind me of something important. But nothing came to mind. Who was he really?

The truth revealed itself that night as a fever took hold of me. Maybe the earlier ride of emotion caused me to fall sick, or maybe it was the natural course of things, exploding to my face as a silence revelation. I don't know, but I am thankful for it.

Strange things appeared in my nightmare, and a disturbing reality came to me. The world I reincarnated in was not only some backward and fantastic world. I had been reincarnated in a BL novel, a female-oriented one.

Originally, I was a normal student from a middle-class family. Nothing particular if not for my outstanding aptitude and great academic achievements. I was a straight-A student, the type that teachers liked and pears looked upon.

Aside from my mild asocial tendencies, I could still navigate perfectly in social pleasantries, blending perfectly in the crowd.

My only bad trait, from my point of view, was my appearance, which did not meet my standards. I was in no way ugly, and that was precisely the problem. For someone who aspired to be only seen for my potential, my outward physical appearance often led me to be objectified and treated as any other pretty girl. Even though I appreciated the gift God gave me-or an equivalent - in a society where beauty is considered to be the first attribute of women, I would have liked better to just be "plain". Not too "ugly" so that I could still somehow be accepted by society's beauty standards, but not too eye-catching so that I would not attract problems.

A mentality that I know is not the best, but I have always privileged my comfort and mental peace first.

In fact, I was right to think this way, since it was precisely that that triggered my demise.

For whatever reason, I attracted the obsession of a crazy stalker who made his only aim to kill me to, by his words - glorify in the most row way my beauty and perfect existence. What the fuck!?

That's how, as a twenty-one aerospace college student, I came to tragically die. And next, I reincarnated, by the grace of some god, as my present self.

But it doesn't stop here.

Like a cruel joke of fate, I reincarnated in a BL novel I hated as a character that was destined to die by the main character's hand. And it was not only any simple BL novel but a reverse harem adult-rated one.

To take the joke even further, I was not the one who read the book (as I knew the story from my then-best friend), so apart from the major backgrounds and the spicy backstory facts, I did not know anything else.

I was in the absolute dark, awaiting my impending death.

The only thing I could remember was that I, Georgia Premeson, was the sister of one of the main villains, Ricardo Premeson. Known for his strength, fiery temperament and handsome face, he was said to be a well-liked villain. If not for his family history, he would have joined the protagonist's little harem.

His only stain was his care for his atrocious twin sister, as a matter of fact me, which will lead him to commit unforgivable acts in the name of brotherly love.

The original, Georgia, was a kind and valiant little girl who was led astray by her violent and traumatic beginnings. The sister, as the older one, always made sure to protect her younger and frail twin after the sudden death of their sole protector-their mother-at the young age of five. Their father, the patriarch of the Premeson family-a family of dark cultivators and assassins - was a monster among men who took pleasure in physical violence against his own children. He always found ingenious and creative ways to torture every one of them, but mostly the weaker ones, whom he did not take into consideration.

Without a shield, Georgia had to survive while making sure that her then-twin brother would survive his frail physical state. She was mostly alone. No one can help her.

Feeling sad and guilty about her sister's traumatizing experiences, Ricardo would indulge in every one of her whims, even the most dark and violent ones.

And like that, after being investigated by the protagonist's men, he was sentenced to twenty years of prison. As for Georgia, she was strangled to death by Mainu while she sneaked in his chamber at night, trying to murder him.

The only reason I know so many facts about Georgia's story is because, weirdly enough, she was the favorite character of my best friend. She took it upon herself to try to make me sympathize with the character. But she failed, since I died before she could finish brainwashing me.

Moreover, as the first spectator of my own destiny-and so hers- I know perfectly what she had to endure since I lived it myself.

The only difference is that, as a reincarnated aware of her bizarre self, I had enough maturity to protect the most of my mental health. Moreover, differently from the original Georgia, I had an innate talent for magic. As a proclaimed mage, I won with raw strength the respect of my other evil siblings and pieces from my progenitor's side.

I had enough power to protect myself and Ricardo.

Solely, the only question left unsolved was why the girl hated Mainu so much ? Why would she try to eliminate him, as she barely had any interactions with him?

Strictly, It could not have been because of her brother's imprisonment, since she died one year before that. Beside her death was the lead factor in Ricardo's fall.

The day after my feverish night, I was more awake than had ever been: it was like a new beginning. Since the day I found my magic aptitude at six (one year after my mother's death), this day has been the most mind-blowing one.

Now, I had only one plan: to survive and protect Ricardo.
