Snow was not something that would stop Dominic from finding the place Rick had made his own in these times. Certainly, now the only thing he wanted besides finding them was to repair his radio and return home.
They had made significant progress in the past few hours, arriving at a town that Dominic wanted to avoid at all costs. But knowing that Rick's group could be here, they decided to try their luck visiting it.
"Michonne, drive slower." Dominic had climbed to the back of the truck while watching everything from his position.
Dominic's eyes could see beyond what any common person could, so looking from house to house, he realized this place had been looted.
On the maps he had taken, there was a prison, and that was exactly where they were headed now, with the only fear being that Andrea's friends were not in that place.
The weather changes were strange, but as they were advancing, a burst of gunfire was heard in the distance, which alerted the group.
"Quick, let's head in that direction at full speed."
…
A few moments before the shots, Rick's group was looking for supplies after fleeing the farm. The fatigue could be seen on their faces, which was very concerning.
Everyone had lost loved ones, and the will of many was at rock bottom, but the desire to survive for those who hadn't made it was stronger, and this is what allowed them to keep going.
"We haven't found much food, nor have I found any game to hunt." Daryl complained out loud while standing next to Rick, who was looking around.
Rick had to be the one who best demonstrated being in this situation. This was not something he wanted, but something everyone needed. "Everything will get better; we could try going through the forest now."
"Then I'll need to take a look as soon as possible." Daryl was about to leave when he suddenly heard footsteps approaching from the other end of the street.
Rick noticed this, and at that moment, when the bullets rained down on them, they dove to the side of an abandoned car.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Damn it, take cover."
Being taken by surprise in this way, there was no choice but to hide, but at that moment, the others who were in the houses began to return fire.
"Are you okay?" Glenn took cover against a tree, waiting for the rain of bullets to stop.
"Who are those people?"
"Stay there; don't come out."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The enemies were getting closer, and Rick knew that if they gained ground, they would be dead by the time they wanted to react. They needed to return fire, but the high intensity of bullets raining down on them was so great that they didn't have that possibility.
But at that moment, from the other end of the street, a black truck sped forward, and from that distance, they began shooting at the people who were attacking Rick's group.
"And now, who are they?" Daryl asked, not knowing what was happening.
Rick looked at Dominic, who had advanced toward the enemy, and said, "I have no idea, but they're helping us. Shoot!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Boom!
"Come on, shoot!"
