"Are you awake?" Michonne looked at Andrea, who had woken up, and gave her water as she tried to sit up.
"Who are you?"
"She saved your life, Andrea." Sophia, who had heard her mother's friend speaking, approached to see how she was.
When Andrea's unfocused gaze settled on Sophia, she felt a jolt of electricity shoot down her spine, seeing that Sophia was still alive.
Many had thought Sophia was dead, but it seemed they were wrong. "How did you get here?"
"When Rick left me in a safe place, a walker appeared out of nowhere and started coming towards me. I ran as soon as I saw it, and before I could get bitten by another walker, I was saved by the people who took care of you." Sophia spoke in an excited tone, genuinely grateful that Dominic and Alicia had taken her in.
Andrea nodded, took a deep breath, and murmured, "I'm glad you're okay, but I can't say the same for your family. We all had to flee when a horde of walkers suddenly appeared at the farm."
When the walker horde invaded the farm, Andrea had to flee for her life. She fought as best as she could, using up all her resources to survive. Only a day later did she finally collapse from exhaustion, and that's when Michonne found her and saved her life.
"You don't know how grateful I am. Saving my life speaks volumes about you." Andrea expressed her gratitude to Michonne, who nodded without saying anything.
At that moment, Alicia entered with hot soup made from venison that Dominic had hunted that afternoon. The hot food awakened Andrea's hunger, and she gratefully accepted the tray.
"You've been through a lot, so we won't bother you for now." Alicia was about to leave when Andrea stopped her and asked, "Who are you?"
It was obvious she wasn't with Michonne, given her uniform, weapons, and well-kept appearance, which was rare in recent times.
"She saved you by giving you medication, a roof over our heads, and hot food, with no particular intention." Michonne now trusted Alicia, who had proven to be an incredible person.
"Sorry for my rudeness..."
"I understand. Distrusting people or gathering information about your surroundings increases the chance of survival." Alicia understood the mentality of survivors after having been in advanced shelters.
At that moment, hurried footsteps were heard from afar, and Dominic appeared with a large bag on his back. "We need to move. I need to find a way to repair my radio, and we certainly won't accomplish much by waiting."
"She'll have trouble moving."
"That's not my priority. You can travel with us, but you'll have to keep up with our pace." Dominic had also seen a horde of walkers not far from here, so it would be wise to move.
Alicia knew that Dominic wouldn't say anything without first considering the possibilities, so she said, "We have a truck that can fit us perfectly. There's enough gas, and we can get more along the way."
"Good, then we'll be ready in an hour."
Dominic nodded and left the room, preparing his weapons and loading all the supplies into the truck. The Ford F-250 Super Duty was one of the best they could have found due to its capacity and space. Obviously, moving seven people, three of whom were small children, was manageable.
"Did you find out anything?" Alicia asked when she saw Dominic looking at the trees in the distance.
"A horde of walkers is on its way. We need to hurry and also try to find Andrea's friends," Dominic said, getting into the truck and starting it up once everyone was inside.
