"Listen I'm only gonna ask once and if you don't give it to me I'm going to beat the living shit out of you. So listen carefully, where. Is. My. Money!!!"
A young man with messy black hair and pale skin shouted towards a frail-looking boy. The frail-looking boy quietly got down on his knees and put his head on the hot cement floor and shouted.
"W-W-WAIT!! I'm just sorta struggling right now so please give me one more day and I can surely give you the money. I just need some more time."
The frail-looking boy pleaded as he pushed his head onto the floor.
"Listen. I've given you more than enough time and right now I'm also in need of some cash. But since you're so reluctant to give me some, I guess I just going have to beat it out of you."
The young man gave the fragile boy a wide sinister grin. He slowly crept closer and closer to the frail boy and when he was 2 steps away from him, the frail-looking boy jumped up from his pose and bolted towards the stairs in an attempt to run.
"Where do you think you're going!"
The young man grabbed the back of the boy's shirt and pulled him back with immense force. The boy fell on to the floor as the young man kicked him in the face causing his nose to bleed. The young man didn't stop there though. He continued to kick him while he was down in order to vent his rage.
After a couple minutes the boy stopped squirming around and laid there motionless.
'Ah shit. I think I might have overdone it a little bit.'
The young man looked out from the roof onto the roads and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He grabbed the lighter within his pocket and lit a cigarette. As he put the cigarette into his mouth he felt a force push him off the roof. He snapped his head towards the rooftop and caught a glimpse of the young boy that he ruthlessly beat.
'Shit is this really how I'm going to die. After all my struggles and effort, it's just going to be reduced to nothing because of that shitty brat. God damn it."
As he was a couple meters away from the sidewalk, a huge gust of wind slammed into his back, slowing his descent by a tiny margin. The wind was too weak for him to notice, as he was currently reminiscing about his life one more time before his ultimate doom. Looking at the sidewalk one more time he closed his eyes and accepted his fate.
With a loud thud came the voices of hundreds of people yelling and crying. A man that seemed to be in his late 20s came rushing through the crowd of people and stopped right next to the boy. The man got down on one knee and started to say a chant of some sort of spell while holding out his hand towards the boy. As the man finished his chanting, the young man's body began to rapidly heal, turning his shattered ribs, broken limbs, and shattered skull back to normal.

"Luke… Luke wake up… It's time to wake up Luke."
Luke's eyelids slowly opened up, revealing his deep crimson eyes. After his eyes were fully opened Luke looked around and saw a man that seemed to be in his late 20s sitting across from him.
"Luke, do you know what year it is?"
As Luke tried to answer the man's question, only a faint wheeze came out of his throat. Luke tried speaking again but this time he managed to get out a quiet, raspy voice.
"It's 67 ANM."
The man across from Luke just silently nodded his head while writing down something in a notebook that seemingly appeared from nowhere.
"Hey are you going to say something? Wait, don't tell me that I've been in a coma for a couple years or something like that."
After processing that sentence, the man finally opened his mouth and said,
"No, of course not. You've merely been unconscious for 2 weeks. But putting that aside, do you know why you're here?"
Luke gave him an odd stare, questioning if the man across from him really knew nothing about what conspired back up there on the rooftop.
"I fell off a building, didn't I?" Luke told the man in such a rhetorical tone it seemed almost fake.
"Well yes you did but I was mainly talking about how you fell off, and according to the cameras on the rooftop, its clear to me that what happened to you, was merely a byproduct of what you've done to others."
Luke's face turned completely white as he realized the stuff that he's done to others have all been caught on camera this entire time. Ready to lie for his life, Luke shouted out,
"WAIT IT WASN'T MY FAU-" As soon as Luke shouted that first part out, he was quickly interrupted by a super loud, masculine voice.
"STOP SHOUTING!!! Assault, battery, attempted murder, underage smoking, the list goes on and on. I could have you behind bars right now if I really wanted to but I haven't because I'm feeling generous. Now listen. According to your records, you should be a regular human but you obviously aren't considering you didn't instantly die from a 14 story drop. So I wanna make a deal with you. I'm going to run a test and see if you have superpowers of some sort and if you do, I want you to go to Omega Academy which is where I teach, and if you don't. Well just know that you're going to be behind bars for a while. So do we have a deal?"
The man stuck his hands out in front of Luke with a smile on his face.
"Well since you're soooo kind and totally gave me options. Sure we have a deal."
"That's what I thought, boy. I'll be back in a day or two with the machine so just be focused on recovering as of right now, well not like you're going to be doing anything else."
The man got up from his seat and walked to the exit but before he could leave he heard a voice call out to him.
"Hey, before you leave can you tell me your name?"
"It's Rui Ashford but when you meet me at the academy it's Mr. Ashford."
And with that the man known as Rui left the room.

"Wake up boy!"
"Calm down, I'm already up, Rui."
With that, Rui entered the room, looked around, and pulled out a wooden chair out of what seemed to be nothing and decided to sit down.
"Hey, how do you keep on pulling out stuff from nowhere?"
Rui stuck out his pointer finger and pulled it up close to his mouth and whispered,
"A magician doesn't tell their secrets."
"Yeah yeah hurry up and use the machine."
Luke stuck out his arm towards Rui and calmly waited for Rui to do something, and with that, Rui pulled out a giant needle and hastily stabbed Luke with it. Luke screamed in pain silently, holding back all his tears as Rui sucked more and more blood out of Luke. After what seemed like a lifetime to Luke, Rui finally pulled the needle out and read what the machine detected.
"Yup just like I thought. You are a superhuman."
Luke's face began to turn bright as he heard one of the best news he has ever heard in his entire lifetime. Eventually he snapped out of it and asked something,
"Wait, I'm still confused on why I'm a superhuman now even though I was born a regular human. And it also doesn't make sense how awakening my power lets me survive that fall."
"You have a good point but clearly you are uneducated. All superhumans are born as regular humans but the only difference is that after they are born their power tends to awaken the moment they get out of the womb but there are rare occasions when someone's power awakens a couple years later on in life. Also the reason as to why you were able to survive that fall is because when a superhuman awakens their powers, their bodies grow stronger in order to properly house their super power."
Luke waited a couple of seconds trying to process the information he just learned, after processing all the information he asked Rui,
"Since it's confirmed I have a superpower, how do I know what I can do?"
Rui gave Luke a blank expression.
"You know that's for you to figure out, right?"
"No I never knew how these things worked but anyways when am I supposed to go to Omega Academy?"
Rui thought for a moment and then answered Luke.
"I would recommend you to register 2 months before the Academy starts because that's most likely when it'll be the least busy. Oh yeah when you get there give them this."
Rui pulled out an envelope with a golden dragon stamp and gave it to Luke.
"Well that's all but make sure to figure out what your power is before the Academy starts. With this it's time for me to get going."
With a gentle look on his face, Rui looked back once more at the boy lying down on the hospital bed.
"Okay well I'll see you at the Academy, Rui."
Rui stopped in his tracks and faced Luke and said,
"Hey, once you get to the academy, remember to call me Mr. Ashford."
"Don't worry sir. I'll make sure to remember that"
And with that Rui left the room.

Luke was finally able to leave the hospital after two weeks.
