Inside of what seemed to be a small room, laid a young boy resting on a bed that seemed to take up a fourth of the small room.
'Now this is truly a bed. Not those stiff shitty beds at the hospital.'
Luke got up from his soft, warm, comfortable bed and let the cold air in his room engulf him. He started to stretch and reached for the sky.
'Huh, I wonder what my power is. I wonder if there's a way to find out on the internet.'
Luke stopped stretching and grabbed his computer off the ground and set it down on his bed. He opened it up and typed in his password: SoulSucker3000.
'Maybe I should change my password. It's been the same thing for the past 5 years. Eh, I'll change it once I get to the Academy.'
Searching for ways to find out what your superpower, was a really hard thing because the majority of the posts were filled with trolls saying, "Just use it".
Ignoring these posts, Luke continued to search until he found one that caught his eyes.
'Huh, it says I must feel the power within me and once I feel it I must activate it and I'll just instinctively know what to do. Well that's convenient. Hmm, the first step is to lay down on something comfortable and to essentially meditate until I feel something in the center of my chest.'
Luke shut off his computer and slid it off his bed and into a small cabinet. He laid down on top of his bedsheet and shut his eyes as he tried to focus within himself. Luke waited for what felt like an hour and eventually he felt something like a light breeze coming from within his chest. He felt the gust of wind within his chest and felt something strange within him. His eyes opened as a huge gust of wind blew past his face and made a mess of his room.
'Holy shit! I can control the wind. I wonder if I can create a huge tornado with this?'
'Wait, how am I even supposed to control the wind. With my mind or what?'
Luke grabbed a piece of paper and set it on his desk and began to focus on the paper. He began to try to lift the sheet of paper, imagining a gust of wind within his mind. Disappointingly nothing happened.
'Maybe I actually have to use my hands to sort of guide the wind.'
This time Luke tried again but instead he made a flicker motion upwards in an attempt to lift the paper up. He tried again and again but nothing worked. However this time before trying to lift the paper, he concentrated deeply within himself and focused on the wind that was running rampant within himself and tried to channel it to his right hand.
After a while he felt something flow within his right hand and he began to try again and to his surprise he actually managed to lift up the piece of paper. Although it might have only slightly gone up, it was still a success. Luke tried again but felt a sharp pain within his chest and started to cough rapidly.
'Fuck! This pain is unbearable. Is there some sort of time limit about how long I can use my powers?'
Feeling disappointed, Luke took a break from testing his power and decided to go take a long nap.

A dull ache radiated throughout his head as he woke up due to the low temperature within his room. It was so cold that the water bottles inside his room had already become solid ice.
Luke got off his bed and looked around his room, only to realize that his balcony was wide open. He grabbed a jacket off of the floor and put it on himself. Luke warmed up a little bit but was still freezing like crazy. He slowly walked towards the balcony to close it but as he was, he saw a huge figure soaring throughout the sky. He rushed onto the balcony and observed the flying object trying to figure out what it was. At first he couldn't make out what it was because it was too far but as it flew closer and closer he realized what it was and immediately shut the balcony.
'HOLY SHIT!!! IT'S THE ACTUAL ICE DRAGON!!!'
Luke hurriedly grabbed all the jackets and blankets he had and wrapped it around himself and hid within his closet and curled up into a little ball.
He waited a couple of minutes and heard a terrifying loud roar that was capable of shaking the entire building itself. Along with the roar came the shattering of all the windows and with it came a huge gust of cold air. The cold air froze everything within the room and seeped through the closest door, making Luke feel as if he was in a pile of snow wearing nothing. Luke stayed curled up in a ball and began to shake due to the cold.
After what seemed to be an eternity, Luke finally began to feel a little bit of warmth which was enough for him to get up and try exiting the closet. He tried to open the door, only to realize it was frozen solid shut.
'I knew the Ice Dragon was powerful but this power is on a whole other level. To be able to freeze everything solid with a mere roar is absurd.'
Luke tried to open the closet again but it wouldn't budge. He kicked it with all his force but it still didn't budge even a little bit. Despite feeling pain within his legs he kicked it 3 more times with all his might until it finally broke under the force of his kick. He looked around his room to see that everything had been turned into ice. His bed, his tv, and all of his possessions were frozen solid. He walked towards his cabinet to check if anything survived and opened it up. To his surprise the only thing that wasn't frozen was his laptop.
'Did my laptop not turn into ice because it was stored away in my cabinet? But everything else in my cabinet turned into ice so why wasn't my laptop? Well I shouldn't be complaining because at least not everything turned into ice.'
Luke picked up his computer and put it between his shoulder and the side of his chest and began to look for more stuff that wasn't frozen. As he was searching a sudden realization hit him.
'Wait, where am I going to be able to sleep, now that my room is frozen with ice.'
Letting out a loud exhausted sigh, Luke walked towards his door which was frozen solid and tried to kick it down like he did with his closet. He managed to kick it down after a lot of tries and as he walked out, he saw all the damage that occurred to the building because of the dragon. The entire hallway was frozen solid, alongside the elevators and stairs. Letting out another loud sigh, he carefully walked down the stairs trying not to slip by going down extremely slowly.
Once he finally exited the apartment building, he decided to head towards the subway to go to quadrant A, where the Omega Academy was located. Since he had nothing better to do and nowhere to stay he boarded the first train that was headed to quadrant A and patiently waited on the train.
