One Week Later
The flying car landed outside the shiny, twenty-story building. Yup, all shiny and new. It was much taller than the other buildings around it, and its shiny glass walls caught the morning sun, making everything look warm and bright. Irani kept her promise, and the building was even more amazing than I thought it would be. It was fully equipped, ready to start working, and full of possibilities.
"Wow, Jack! This is amazing!" Lisa said excitedly as she got out of the car, her eyes full of surprise.
Ann, Alice, came right after her, looking both proud and amazed. "You really made it happen, Jack. This is a big leap for us." Ann said proudly.
"Dang! Jack. You scored a big time," Alice said while whistling.
I chuckled at their excitement. "Of course I did."
Fiona's hovercar landed beside ours. She got out waving at us. "Morning everyone."
After greeting Fiona, we entered the building through the front door. We walked into the ground floor, which was a big open area used as a reception area. The shiny marble floors, tall ceilings, and stylish decorations gave a feeling of being in a professional and fancy place. There was a front desk at the other end, where a holographic attendant was ready to assist visitors. The lobby also featured comfortable seating areas, a coffee bar, and a digital display which was closed for the time being. I need to customize it accordingly later.
"I can't believe you got this for free," Fiona said while looking around with sparkling eyes.
"What can I say, I'm pretty lucky..." I chuckled. "C'mon. Let me give you a tour."
We went up to the second floor using the elevator, where our fashion business was located. I had successfully signed agreements with three well-known brands, a major accomplishment that would help us make a name for ourselves in the industry. The floor had different areas, each set up to handle various parts of the business: a space for displaying new collections, rooms for talking with clients, and desks for our designers.
"The second floor is all about fashion," I explained. "We've got showrooms, meeting rooms, and workspaces for our designers. We're starting with three major brands, but the goal is to eventually launch our own brand once we make a name for ourselves." I took out the digital remote keys and took Ann's hands in mine. "I made a promise to you and I've kept it."
"Jack... I..." Ann said teary-eyed before hugging me. Lisa, Alice, and Fiona smiled when they saw her like that.
After Ann composed herself, we continued the tour of the building.
We went up to the third floor, where my photo studio was located. The large space had the latest equipment, backgrounds, and lighting arrangements. There were also rooms for editing where I could work on making each photo look its best.
"This is where I work," I said with a smile. "The third floor is all about photography. We have everything we need to create high-quality photos here."
"Wow! Now, this is what I've been waiting for," Fiona said excitedly.
I laughed at her eagerness. "We'll start next week. There's still some work to be done here."
"Great! I can't wait to get started."
Then, we went up to the fourth floor, which was just for Alice's music studio. The rooms that blocked out noise, the high-tech recording tools, and the cozy areas for making music were made to help her make great music.
"Alice, this floor is just for you," I told her, and I saw her face light up with happiness.
Alice didn't say a word and walked around the place, tracing her fingers along the instruments and checking out the rooms. Then, she turned around with teary eyes, "Thank you for not letting my dreams die, Jack."
I smiled and hugged her, "Dreams are the most important thing in life. Some of us messed up on the way trying to reach them, but don't let that stop you from chasing yours. Besides, I had a promise to keep, didn't I?"
Alice nodded and wiped away the tears. "Yeah, you did. You are the best brother anyone could ask for, Jack. I love you."
I patted her head and said, "Love you too, sis."
"Hey, what about me?" Lisa asked while pouting.
I laughed and said, "I love you too, Lisa. That's why I've prepared something special for you too."
We went to the next floor. When we entered the fifth floor, Lisa gasped with surprise. The entire floor was a huge indoor water park with multiple rides. I've no idea how they did it, but it was a unique feature that no other building had. This place had slides, wave pools, waterfalls, and lazy rivers. The place looked really cool.
"Jack! Is this... is this all for me?" Lisa asked incredulously. She ran over to the infinity pool. "OMG! This is amazing!"
I chuckled and nodded. "Yup. All yours!" I took out the keys. "Here, catch."
Lisa caught the keys. Then she ran and jumped on me. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jack! I love you so much!"
"I love you too, sis."
"Ehem!" Fiona cleared her throat, "What about me?"
I laughed and said, "Don't worry. I've prepared something for you too. Follow me." I walked toward the door.
Lisa was about to follow us, but Ann grabbed her arm and whispered, "Let them have some privacy."
"Oh..." Lisa realized what Ann meant and giggled. "Right."
"You know, we can hear you," I said wryly before going up to the next floor.
The next floor was a training room equipped with a gymnastics area, workout machines, and a boxing ring. It was basically an all-in-one fitness center. And not to mention the shooting range, where one could practice with several different weapons.
"I'm so gonna kick your ass next time, Jack," Fiona said confidently after seeing the place.
I chuckled and said, "We'll see about that."
"You think I can't do that, don't you? Let me tell you. I worked on my anger issues and right now, I'm as calm as a lake. I will beat you this time. Just you wait."
"Is that so? Then how about a match right now?" I said as I walked to the shooting arena.
"The loser gets to follow one order from the winner," Fiona smirked. "Deal?"
I smirked back. "Bring it on."
We entered the shooting range, where the air was filled with a sense of competition. Fiona walked to her spot with confidence. She was one of the best shooters I know after all. A girl who can rush in guerrilla-style while shooting with perfect aim in close combat, well... I wonder how she would do while standing still and shooting. I smiled, seeing her strong will; she had always been passionate, and that was one of the qualities I respected most in her.
"Let's make this interesting," Fiona said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Three rounds. Whoever hits the most targets wins." She took a handgun and loaded it. "Ready when you are."
I did the same and got ready. "Of course."
Fiona's lips curved into a confident smile, "Go!"
Bang!
