Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

"Ramiel!" As he approached me, Simon tried to yank my hand from choking Jeremy. I remained motionless and became enraged when he squeezed my hand to release Jeremy. Using my free hand, I lifted Simon and threw him towards the end of the room, causing him to groan as his back struck the wall.

I can feel Ramiel yearning for his death, so it is for the best right now that my eyes are a deep red and my Alpha is taking control. Jeremy was kicking his feet in the air and mumbling something. His hands clasped around my neck, his face swollen with veins that seemed ready to burst, I wanted to hit him, so I let go of my hold on his neck and punched him hard in the face, sending his body out of the closed door. The hole clearly visible on the wooden door. I felt the impact of my fist hitting his face through my white, clenched knuckles.

Simon was still huffing and grunting in agony. He was now lying on the couch with his right hand resting on his neck and his other arm lifting him up to a sitting position. It appeared as though he had broken a bone.

"That was not necessary for you to do." Simon mumbled between reclining and sitting on the couch. His gaze strayed to Jeremy, who was having difficulty standing up.

"Jerry!!" Simon dashed to Jeremy, who was outside my door already on his knees. He spit blood and wiped the side of his lips. When Simon offered to help him up, he refused and gave me a sidelong glance before getting to his feet on his own.

"Man, you should relax!" Simon approached me with a face that expressed disappointment in the way I reacted.

I wasn't, though, and it did not really matter if it was well received by them or not—at least I had proven my superiority.

"Alpha!" Jeremy was on his feet in my room.

Jeremy was deeply bowing, sweat streaming from his quivering body, when I turned to face him.

I laughed at his cynical actions.

"Alpha..." My gamma was being sarcastic, so I smirked. Really..?"I asked in a mocking tone, walking up to him until we were only a few steps apart.

"I thought you left your sense of respect beneath your mate's skirt." A fresh surge of irony flooded my thoughts.

Jeremy froze, gritting his teeth and balling his fists.

 Sapphire...

When he turned to face me, I could see sorrow and rage in his forest-green eyes. There was also blood in the center of his eyes, so I knew he was resisting the urge to move and attack me at that precise moment. In an instant, his body closed the small space that was still between us and his fingers tightened..

Simon felt his inner wolf would emerge and another fight would ensue..

"Dudes! " Simon rushed on, growling, "We are just having a conversation. Jeremy, you ought not to have brought up Chloe, and Raven ought not to have drawn Sapphire in! Please, let us just take care of the human girl problem. "We have other pack issues, do not we?" Attempting to defuse the situation, Simon spoke.

"Hmph!" Lifting his head, Jeremy scoffed, "Speak to your friend!"

Simon dabbed at his temples. "Yes.Absolutely. Both you and he were mistaken. But could we just deal with the goddamn problem, please?

 "All right," Jeremy sighed.

Conversely, Raven snorted. "He ignited it!" He was surprisingly acting coquettish right now, which was not usually his forte.

"You got me!"Jeremy chuckled.

Eyes downcast, Raven let out a deep breath. "Yeah, we did both!"

They both gave each other teasing looks while blinking their eyes.

"That is excellent. It is so ideal when two friends acknowledge their mistakes!" Declaring he was clearly unprepared for the impending staredown, Simon said.

"I apologize for Chloe." Without maintaining eye contact, Jeremy apologized softly.

Simon sipped from the chocolate beverage and said, "So am I."

Staring at the guys in front of him, Raven's mouth twitched twice.

"She is...g..one," so it is okay. "You were right when you said that," Raven muttered, quickly averting his face as if he did not want them to see the feelings in his eyes. It appears that whatever I try, she will never get back to me." Continuing to blink away the tears that were welling up in his eyes, Raven spoke, his face growing red.Tears should not fall down his cheeks because he was the Alpha.

"But I will not stop, they have to pay!" It was a murderous, cold voice.

"Raven, you should let it pass." Touching his friend's shoulder, Jeremy extended his hand. "Some things are unchangeable."

"Yes, Jeremy is spot on with this one." Simon stated.

With an arched brow, Jeremy gave him a severe glare. "On this one" implies that he was always wrong on the other topics they discussed.

"Hey, why can not I just give you some ass-shit?" Simon was beaming broadly at his enraged gamma.

Special Advisors? Raven rolled his eyes. Now, they were assuming the role of the pack leaders.

"Whoa!" With his face turned toward them, Raven let out an exclamation. "Wait, hopefully none of you guys got a hold of my prey? Simon, I am too familiar with you...

"Pfft!" With a laugh, Simon sprayed his tea. The three started laughing.

"Hey guys, you know that I now have a mate."

"Um,"Raven merely hummed, but he knew he was correct—typical werewolves do not cheat after meeting their mate—even if they did, it would be extremely uncommon—but Alphas were an exception. Since they had complete control over their wolves, Alphas could cheat even after they had claimed their mates. This was surprisingly permitted by the Moon Goddess, who spared an Alpha who cheated from punishment in contrast to a normal wolf.

 Luna...

The Luna was the only one who suffered from her partner's infidelity. Not only did she experience the emotional anguish of having to share her partner, but she also experienced excruciating physical pain in the form of horrible bruises and bumps that appeared on her body when her partner had sex with another woman. The marks were so severe that they caused her body to burn, a sign that her partner was having an extramarital affair..

"So you are planning to lock up the human girl?"Jeremy raised an eyebrow. That girl was on his mind constantly, and the idea of her being in that den did not sit well with him. Thoughts of the human girl were occupying even Leo's corner of his mind.

"Every single human, rogue...With his teeth tightly clenched, Raven spoke, barely controlling his wolf. Ramiel was about to take charge because he had a doubled-over voice. It made the desired impact. With a final glance at the Alpha, Jeremy retreated two steps and bowed slightly before departing the Royal Palace. Raven inhaled deeply to regain self-control. "Supper is nearly ready."Raven glanced at his golden wristwatch "You can wait for dinner." He stormed towards the human girl's room without waiting to hear his opinion.
