The ray of light that passed through the side of her pink curtain shone on her eyes. I used my elbow to cover my eyes without moving an inch from my sleeping spot. I was too lazy to adjust the curtain or change my position...this would do I guess. I pulled up the blanket over my face ready to visit the Dreamland once more when I heard loud voices from the street... growling animals. The voices I was hearing sounded like howling wolves... hungry wolves.
I jumped off my bed quickly.
" Were we under an attack by wild animals...?" it wasn't impossible cos this place was practically the woods, the dwelling of wild animals. She thought they weren't gonna be any due to the populated census but this sound just proved her wrong.
The last thing she wanted to do was to look through the window...she didn't want to know the sources of those noises... she was still fixed on the same spot she jumped off to, unable to move as much as a finger...she wanted to cry for help but the sounds weren't coming out.
"Take a look Ashira, look" A voice was saying inside my head.
WHAT!!! Never will I take a look.
"Look! Look! Look!"the voice in my head urges again.
I found myself moving towards the window... what was happening to me? ...I wasn't in control of my body at all...my subconsciousness must be pulling pranks on me..I kept on moving and moving and finally I looked down the street.
My eyes widen at the sight in front of me....Wolves. I expected to see maybe a faun, spirit of woods, with the body of man and the feet of a goat but here i was seeing wolves!!!.
They were really wolves with different colour and sizes. some human were walking among them unbothered...were they chatting and laughing with the wolves. They weren't scared or what..?. Wolves can't be pet, can they?.
Christ!!! the wolves were changing to human right before my naked eyes I saw one... two...
three...three wolves became human. Was I still in the universe?.
Then I felt a touch on my shoulder.
aaaarghh!!!!!
Ashira shouted in fear and passed out.
I opened my eyes slowly...I couldn't see clearly, my vision was still blurry...I shut them back before opening them widely again.
"Another nightmare?" Jayden asked.
I nodded in disapproval.
My brothers exchanged glances with a confused expression. What else could have made the stubborn and brave Ashira scared like that?.
Jayden handed her a pill from her reading table and a glass of water.
"Take a deep breath, princess" Jayden pulled her into his chest tightly...running his fingers through her light- brown hair. "It's okay, we are here with you"
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I hugged my brother tightly...I couldn't even tell them what I saw... what if it was just one of my scary thoughts or hallucinations...how could wolves transform into human.
*sigh*
I really needed help.
"You are having a therapy session, Ashy" Raphael said decisively, looking straight into my teary eyes.
I nodded in approval...I was done pretending to be the okay girl when deep down I knew i had a problem. I needed a therapist as fast as possible cos have being having this splitting headache for months now, no thanks to my insomnia.
"That will be after she settles down " Jayden made a quick eye contact with Raphael and he heaved a sigh.
I didn't care when and how the scheduling was gonna be but I needed a therapist!.
Jayden knew Ashira had seen the Wolves this morning and maybe she had seen them shift to humans too. They were actually going for a run and some enjoyed running in their Wolfie. Raphael and I were among the pack of wolves running in their wolf nature too but Raphael had sighted Ashira looking through her window from the street and alerted me.
"J-jay, Ashira is at the window"he mind-linked me with fear and anxiety.
We both ran to a corner to shift back to our human form before rushing back home.
..The touch she felt in her shoulder was Raphael's hand and not one of the wolves as she must have thought.
It's been a long time since they ran with their wolf...Ashira was always with them and they get to change when they are alone in their locked room.
