Chapter 4 - Meeting a God [4]

While my mind was working on a solution to hide it from the eyes of the cursed God, something happened to me again.

With a burst of purple light radiating from me, I began to feel the presence of my soul more consciously, as if I were being drawn closer to it.

This lasted until I could feel my soul completely. It's very strange, it's as if I had another body inside me.

But that wasn't all.

My body, consciousness and soul began to absorb the purple light that was previously radiating from me and, little by little, the color of each of them changed to white again, just as it was at the beginning, making me extremely happy.

"Haha, this purple energy can understand me! That's it, it understood the shit we'd be getting into if it didn't hide! Hahahaha."

While I was jumping for joy, a message seemed to pop into my mind, making me freeze, not knowing what to do.

It wasn't really a message, more of an "intention", but I could understand what it wanted to convey to me.

What I understood was something like: "He's coming, don't tell him anything about what happened, otherwise our fate will be worse than anything you can imagine. Fool him, I'll hide so he won't find me."

That... I assumed that the purple energy was the one that sent it, to my surprise, this thing not only understands, it also speaks!

Using my brain to the max, I quickly accepted his advice, there wasn't much time to think. I would rather trust this energy that had spared me an eternity of agony than that God who looked more like a demon.

I relaxed my whole body and adopted a position in which my body was slightly arched, floating in the Void like a rag doll.

'Tsk, how humiliating.' It's a good thing I don't have a face, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to control my expression of embarrassment at the moment.

While I resented being in such a shameful position, that God appeared out of nowhere next to me, and I didn't even notice him.

Looking at me drifting in the Void, he muttered something that made my non-existent eyes widen in disbelief.

"I knew I'd forgotten something while I was resting. I planned to leave you here suffering for a decade to pay for your tough mouth, but I completely forgot about your existence..."

As he spoke, he approached me briefly before lifting me by the arm and touching my forehead.

At his touch, I felt a cold and warm energy spread throughout my body. He was examining me thoroughly to find out where I stood.

"Hm? This guy is still alive and his cast is still intact, just unconscious. I'll get it over with, I've got to get back and finish sorting out my business with these little... inconveniences."

Finishing his words, he briefly raised his arm before delivering a devastating blow to my cheek, the resulting sound like a war drum.

I didn't feel any pain from the blow, just a slight tingle, but given the purple energy warning, I did my best to act like a Hollywood star.

"Aahhhh, damn, shit, fuck, it hurts, it fucking hurts!" I shouted with all my might.

Before he could say anything, I continued, showing confusion: "Uh, where did all that infernal pain go? Am I free? Ha... haha... hahahahahaha! Free! Free at last!"

Like a madman, I started laughing, trying my best to show off my acting prowess.

Heh, who dares to say I don't have acting talent? If you've got the guts, show up and act in front of a god like me, let's see who else is so daring!

The god, visibly impatient, interrupted me.

It really is extremely rude. 'Don't you know it's rude to interrupt someone while they're talking or laughing? Who taught you so badly, man?' I grumbled.

"Enough, listen to me and don't interrupt me. Let's get this over with, inconveniences have arisen and I need to settle your affairs once and for all as quickly as possible, so I'll be straightforward."

Without giving me a pause to speak, he continued.

"Listen, whether you like it or not, I'm going to send you to a magical world, you always wanted it badly in your past life, you wanted it so badly that you even killed yourself for it, so I'm going to consider that you want it now. Besides, this world can allow you to ascend to a God like me in the current era, so it's beneficial for you, don't you dare complain."

"Originally, I was going to give you time to clear your doubts completely, explain where you would be sent, give you some advantages of your choice and all that other nonsense, but thanks to your mouth, I no longer have time to do it calmly, I ended up forgetting about you and it took up all the time we had. Now, the most I can give you is 5 minutes for questions and 10 seconds to choose your advantages."

Pausing so that I could absorb his words, he continued: "So let's get down to business, shall we? Make it quick.

Without wasting any more time, I began my round of questions to get the answers to what I thought I needed to know now, the rest I would find out eventually.

"How did I get here?" I asked my first question.
