As the two friends directed their gaze towards the door, astonishment washed over them at the sight of a man dressed entirely in black, his face concealed beneath a cap and his head angled downward, rendering his facial features unidentifiable.
In his grasp was a hammer and a saw which gave Lilith an ominous feeling about the stranger.
Lilith pulled away from Morgana as she intensely stared at the mysterious young man while her brows were arched.
"It seems I've arrived just in time," The male voice uttered as it was laced with amusement.
'Time?' Lilith thought within herself as her gaze never left the mysterious stranger.
Deep down, she believes he was Merlin or the mystery guy who always addresses her as 'Mortal' whenever they meet.
The strange young man removed his face cap and revealed his brown eyes. "Good day lovelies." He said, then turned back to face the door.
As he squats alongside the door, he quickly starts fixing the door handle.
"He's the guy you called to fix my door?" Lilith asked in surprise with the help of her book and pen, and Morgana nodded her head. "You think he's handsome right?" Morgana questioned, causing Lilith to sneer at her as she shook her head sideways.
"He's handsome but I don't fancy him." Came the simple text from Lilith and with that, she headed straight into the bathroom where she freshened up and after some minutes she came out of the bathroom looking clean and refreshed.
Lilith and Morgana ate the apple, and when the man mending the door finished his task, Morgana handed him some cash.
"Thanks for your service," Morgana muttered, and the young man ventured away.
"Aren't you going to your workplace today?" Lilith inquired, and this time she used Morgana's phone to type.
"I'll," Morgana replied simply. "And what would you do while I'm at work? Besides, you shouldn't have kept your phone in that pervert's pocket." Morgana added, concerned about her friend.
"I plan to track my phone's location, which should lead me to the residence of the pervert who took my portrait and by doing so I will be able to get my portrait back." Lilith typed, explaining the interior motive that she harbors in her mind.
Morgana scuffed and rolled her eyes at Lilith. "You are going to get yourself in trouble so you should forget about the so-called Merlin of a guy." She suggested as she moved towards Lilith's wardrobe, where she grabbed a pair of head warmers to keep herself warm.
"We are already consuming the money that he spent on the portrait so what would you do when you finally track him and then he requests for the money?" Morgana inquired.
She was attempting to be reasonable because she believed that tracking the phone would result in a significant loss for them.
Lilith's shoulders dropped in exasperation as she sighed. "But you said it yourself that Merlin was most likely a pervert." Lilith typed, attempting to be reasonable on her terms.
"I'm aware of what I said Lilith, but the fact that your portrait is with him hasn't caused any harm to you so why worry?"
Lilith wanted to defend herself and explain why she needed to find Merlin, but she knew Morgana was going to be successful in convincing her. "I won't track it." She typed.
Morgana hissed as she grabbed her phone from Lilith before approaching the door. "I know you would." Morgana spat and marched out of the home, heading straight to work.
Lilith was now alone in the house, and as she sat down, she began to consider accepting her friend's assertion.
After some thought, she came up with the notion of tracing down the phone.
As she got from her seat, she went straight to the wardrobe and grabbed a pair of basic blue gowns, which she quickly wore.
Lilith walked out of the house, carrying the handbag she had worn the day before and it took her five minutes to go to the police station by taxi.
When she entered the building, she quickly filed a stolen phone report.
"And how was your phone stolen from you?" A police officer questioned Lilith.
Lilith took a piece of paper and a pen and decided to make up a story about how her phone was taken.
"Last night at the marketplace, I encountered the same man who I had an encounter with earlier that morning," she typed.
After reading Lilith's words, the police officer nodded, indicating that she should proceed with her story.
"He appeared at my workplace and purchased a portrait. After his departure, I realized my phone was missing, so I assumed he might have taken it unintentionally. I decided to follow him with the intention of retrieving my phone. However, upon noticing that I was tailing him, he unexpectedly started running," Lilith penned, effortlessly fabricating the story for the police officer.
The police officer wrote Lilith's statement in a police report as he accepted the IMEI number Lilith had given him.
"We are going to start the process of tracking your phone so please kindly drop a phone number that we can use to contact you once your phone has been tracked down." He stated to Lilith as he gave his colleague the IMEI number of Lilith's phone.
Fortunately, Lilith knows Morgana's phone number so she began writing it down on a piece of paper and later handed it over to the police officer.
Lilith turned around and started walking out of the police station, but before she was able to leave, she heard her name howled out from behind her.
"Lilith. Your phone has been tracked down." A young police officer spoke to her, prompting Lilith to turn around with a mischievous smirk on her lips.
'Well! That was quite fast.' After pondering, Lilith returned to the station and sat down while a police officer prepared to escort her to the location of her phone.
After a few minutes, five officers were all prepared, and Lilith sat in the rear seat of the officers as they drove to a rural region far from the city.
The police officer's car came to a stop in front of an unfinished building that appeared to have been abandoned for years.
"Why would a handsome guy like Merlin live in a place like this?" Lilith questioned herself as she followed after the officers.
They stepped inside the building and were astounded to see stacks of drug addicts.
As the police arrived, individuals who were using drugs scattered, fearful of the potential repercussions and seeking to avoid confrontation.
Amid the chaos, the officers spotted a young man clutching Lilith's phone, a smile curling across his face.
"It can't be," Lilith thought to herself, her mind racing at the sight of her phone in the man's hand.
