"An… An eagle?" Lilith faltered as she stared at Dracula. She was taken aback by his comment, and she could distinctly recall that she had stumbled upon the feather of an eagle while she was at Dracula's old mansion.
"How did the eagle carry me here?" Lilith questioned.
Dracula stood still, baffled that Lilith was quite a stupid little mortal.
With a sneer of contempt, he stretched out his fingers and smacked Lilith's forehead with a single, dismissive finger. "You are foolishly naive and gullible," he uttered with disdain, his words like the slash of a knife. "I'm disappointed in your lack of perception." He spat smacking his lips in disappointment as he turned around.
Lilith snarled as she placed her hands on her head, tenderly massaging the spot where Dracula had just smacked her. "Was it an eagle?" She inquired, hoping to satiate her curiosity.
