"Why did you have to speak to the woman like that?" Lilith demanded, narrowing her eyes at Dracula. "She was being polite, even sharing a personal story with us. But you just had to ruin it by acting like a complete jerk!"
Dracula said nothing as he got himself seated in the driver's seat.
He accelerated the car engine and drove the car down to the main road. "The lady was lying." He suddenly uttered, his gaze was intensely focused on the road.
Lilith scoffed, rolling her eyes at Dracula's ridiculous statement because she believed that the lady's words were true and not a lie.
"Don't judge people when you don't even know them," Lilith stated with a flat tone. "And for the record, I'll still pay you for the fruit. I don't like to take freebies, even if they're offered by a jerk." Lilith's voice was firm and unyielding.
