In the woods of Azure a young girl in her twenties with white hair and blue eyes like the calm waters of sea was dashing with speed.
Waves of aura emanated from her body. She seemed strong yet her face showed hints of anxiety and worry.
Victoria was constantly thinking about Lucifer, she was worried about his safety.
As far as she remembered he had stopped training in combat so his fighting skills had degraded over time. Even hunting slimes would have been difficult for him in his current state, and yet here he was in a forest filled with monsters that could kill him with just a flick.
As she neared to the middle of the forest she could hear the sound of sword clashing, the aura in the air was heavy filled with the scent she was familiar with.
It was the scent of blood. This made Victoria's heart jump with dread as she imagined Lucifer with a bloody battered body fighting the monsters.
She increased her pace and arrived at the source, but what she saw was a complete contrast to her wild imagination.
Yes there was blood spilled everywhere, but it wasn't her brother's blood.
It was the blood of monsters whose dead bodies could be seen all around, some with severed head, leg and ripped eyes.
And in the center of all chaos she could see a young boy with black hairs and golden eyes, fighting like a skilled warrior, slashing and stabbing the monsters who roared in pain.
He didn't bait a eye even when the blood spilled all over his face and soaked his clothes in its crimson color.
The boy was facing against a greater orc. The monster was nearly 8 feet tall and had a bushy build.
One of its eyes had a slash mark running all through his face, two horns were protruding from the side of its head.
It held a long sword in the right hand and was ferociously fighting its opponent who eyed him like a predator toying with its prey before a feasty meal.
The boy appeared on backfoot and seemed to be overpowered but still he had a determination in his eyes that was unmatched for someone as young as him.
Victoria stayed in the bushes hiding her aura, patiently watching as Lucifer was fighting the Greater Orc.
She was conflicted on whether to help him or just watch the fight from the sidelines.
At the end she decided against helping him, because she felt that her help would not be appreciated by her brother.
Still there was one single thought looming in her head, 'what made him try so hard to grow stronger, even willing to fight monsters far above his level, not giving a single thought for his life or wellbeing. Am I missing something, but all these years he did not seem interested in any of this.'
Unaware of the presence stealthily watching him, Lucifer took his time to kill the orc. It wasn't like he had difficulty slaying it in lesser time, it was just that he wanted to hone his combat skills that seem to have rusted over time.
He wanted to reach the pinnacle of talent like he was in his childhood and then begin his journey for the greater goals.
After quite the fighting he had finally taken down the Greater Orc who was at level 30, and just as he proceeded to absorb the life energy from the dead body of the orc, he noticed a movement in the bushes behind him.
He readied his sword for facing whatever was moving through the bushes.
Just as he began concentrating his aura in the blade of his sword, a figure emerged from the bushes. It was a person Lucifer had least expected to appear.
It was none other than his elder sister Victoria.
