Chapter 75 - Chapter 8 Giants

" Too bad that you are weak."

Arne laughed at their pitiful bodies while holding the spear with his bare hands. Then his palm grabbed the shaft of the spear, snapping it in front of the guards who were stunned by his strength.

" Bastard, poke them with your spears. Don't kill them!"

The vice-captain knew they would be in trouble if they killed them, so he opted to injure them but Harold and Arne were on another level as they swung the broken shaft of the spear, making them lose their momentum.

" An opening!"

Harold threw the balance of the guard, swinging his fist toward his face while ducking forward to dodge the spears.

Crack*

The sound of teeth cracking was heard in the valley, creating all out brawl between the guards and the duo. The guards who lost their weapons, drew their swords to scare them but Harold threw one of them at them while grabbing his spear.

" Weak! Come at me!"

His power made them swagger under the pressure as they tried to push forward. The veins of the vice captain bulged while his face blushed with anger. One could say smoke was almost coming out from his ears.

" You, fucking foreigners! I will personally throw you into the dungeon when others come here."

He signaled his men to fall back while glaring at them with hatred but there was nothing he could do against them with 15 men who had a little amount of training.

" Cry me a river, baldie. Why don't you go home and cry in your mother's lap?"

Arne spat out sarcasm from his mouth while gesturing for him to come forward. However, the vice-captain wasn't a fool and he knew Harold and Arne were experienced fighters. Hence, he didn't dare to come forward after seeing their prowess.

Meanwhile at the eastern gate

Halfdan didn't bother trying to conceal himself because he was too tall but that didn't mean he couldn't be sneaky. He carefully used the shadows and angles to proceed to the area where the chains or ropes of the gate would be.

Fortunately, most of the soldiers and guards went to the fire to stop it and his friends lured the vice-captain away from the gate. Thus, only a few guards and soldiers were at the gate. Moreover, he saw only 4 people in the room where the gate mechanism was located.

" This should do."

He picked up a little pebble from the ground, aiming at the torch which was held in the iron cup-like thing.

Clank*

The torch fell onto the ground with a loud sound as the guards looked in that direction with annoyance because it was normal to torch fall.

" Ah, damn it. Annoying animals knocked that thing again. I told the captain to replace it before it burns the place down."

The old guard grumbled lightly under the dim light, trying to pick it up from the guard but before he could do that, he saw a giant shadow looming over him.

" What the.."

His words were cut abruptly by Halfdan who plunged his sword down to his chest. He gently pulled out his sword from his body while loosening his hand from his mouth with a cold face.

Then he put the guard down next to the wall, placing the torch on the wall to look like it was the work of the guard.

" Old Man, did you finish it? I need to piss."

Halfdan heard the old guard's voice just before killing him, so he mimicked his voice to confuse them.

" Sure!"

The deep voice came out from the corner of the walls, the guards didn't suspect a thing. They nodded at one of their members while the two remained in the room with a yawn on their faces.

" Hey, what is taking you so long?"

One of the guards put his helmet down, signaling the other guard to stay. He didn't think there would be danger here, turning to the direction where the slight light was illuminating the area. However, to his horror, a man was standing in front of him with a stone-cold face and a bloody sword.

" Tarse!"

He attempted to flee from his grip but Halfdan grabbed him by his neck, dragging him into the shadow.
