When the stopwatch hit nine minutes, the collective panic inside the bus reached an all time high. Nobody was really sitting anymore. But they avoided making sounds too loud even as they moved inside the bus, speaking with their friends and fellow trainees to look for inspiration, any solution to this impasse they'd fallen into.
It was time to consider the possibility that Father Raquer might not return. But without his guidance, how would the bus move? And if the bus didn't move, they'd all be better off dead.
In one quiet corner of the bus, Mir and Murray were having a similar frenzied discussion. However, the contents of their discussion differed a little from the others.
"Let me go too, dammit!"
"You're not a mutant yet! I can't let you take the risk, Mir."
