Villain Recruitment: I'm Just A Psychic
Meet Jayden, your average middle schooler—if by "average" you mean someone who hears voices in his head, has uncontrolled psychic abilities, and is constantly on the run from people he can't see.
Life was going fine, you know, just the typical teen drama—until Jayden learned he wasn’t as normal as he thought.
One minute, he's having class learning long division, trying to make it through the school day, and the next, he’s got invisible men hunting him down for reasons he doesn’t understand.
Sure, that’s a Tuesday for some, but for Jayden, it’s just the beginning of a very weird, and very dangerous, journey.
Apparently, these men aren’t fans of Jayden's newfound powers.
And in the midst of all this, Anna—his so-called friend—has some questionable motives of her own, leading to a betrayal that throws Jayden into a storm of chaos he didn’t ask for.
Enter the mysterious man—let’s call him the guy with a plan.
This man swoops in like some kind of mysterious mentor figure who sees potential in Jayden (don’t worry, he’s not here to make him a superhero—far from it).
No, this guy sees a lot of raw, untapped psychic chaos and decides to take Jayden under his wing.
It’s all very sinister and very confusing, but Jayden doesn’t have time to process it because he's suddenly plucked out of his life, thrown onto a private jet, and given an offer: join the fight, or become a pawn in a game he doesn't understand.
And just when Jayden thinks he’s reached rock bottom, he’s introduced to Nadya—one part pilot, one part “I’ll break you if you don’t get your act together” drill sergeant.
She’s assigned to “train” Jayden, but don’t get too excited—she’s not exactly on the whole “let’s make him a hero” bandwagon.
No, she’s got her own issues, and they’re all written in sharp, Russian-accented sarcasm.
The good news? She’s tough.
The bad news? Jayden’s about to get thrown into a warzone.
Because what’s the best way to “train” someone with uncontrollable psychic powers? Send them into an international conflict, obviously.
So, what’s a guy like Jayden supposed to do when he’s got powers, a bunch of shady people telling him what to do, and absolutely no clue who to trust?
He can either lean into the darkness and become a villain, or... well, become a hero. Maybe. It’s not looking great for him, though.
But here’s the kicker—he didn’t ask for this.
In fact, Jayden would much rather go back to his old life of trying to avoid attention, and definitely not end up in some high-stakes international conspiracy.
But since life doesn’t care about your plans, Jayden’s about to dive into something far bigger than himself. And it’s going to be explosive—literally.
Will Jayden succumb to the chaos? Will he learn how to control his powers? Or will he burn it all down and go down in a blaze of psychic glory?
You'll have to stick around to find out. Spoiler: There’s a lot of unpredictable in his future. And honestly? That’s just how he likes it.
