The two stayed in silence as the student patched up his hand with bandages, which he didn't see as necessary. He was already beginning to feel his fingers again; he could probably move them. His body and mind also felt better, as he could finally control his Chi like usual. He focused most of it on his hands and spread the rest throughout his body.
"So, why did you help me? I mean, you must want something, right?"
He would finish patching his hands as he began to fidget with his hands, and he was...blushing?
He couldn't tell since his hair blocked his face quite a bit, but it felt like he was, making him flustered as well.
He points to Charlotte, throws a few light punches, and looks at Charlotte. That was very similar to the actions he had done in the dojo.
"You want to fight?"
He quickly shook his head before fidgeting with his fingers again, pointing at Charlotte and then himself and throwing a few punches again.
So, it was a similar thing to fight. A few things clicked as he thought about it, mainly because he had just gotten a tour of the place a while ago and remembered the field.
"You wanna train together?"
He nodded but gestured, saying he was halfway correct.
"So, not training together, but you do want to fight...Sparring partners?"
He excitedly nods, and Charlotte sighs as he sits up and looks at the rabbit. He was still starving, so he pushed the conversation aside for now.
"Alright, we can talk about it later; first, let me try and eat. I'll think about it, though, alright?"
He smiled slightly and nodded but remained sitting there, looking at Charlotte. Charlotte looked around before looking back at him.
"You're gonna stay here then?"
He nods before seemingly realizing as he points at himself and out into the forest. He frowned and looked at him sadly; he was most likely asking if he wanted him to leave.
"...You can stay; I just thought you had things to do."
He shook his head and stayed in place; Charlotte would have preferred he left. But it didn't feel polite to make him go after he patched up his hands. Charlotte would turn away and gather some wood and grass to make a fire; the grass he picked up would grow back a minute after he left it alone. Although it always seemed to grow up to a certain height before stopping.
He started making a fire before walking over to the rabbit to skin it and cook himself food; the other student watched him the whole time. He said nothing, but I could also tell he was hungry. Though he had questions, he was most likely to break and feed him some before then.
"Why don't you talk, and why don't you train with everyone else? Surely they must be stronger or better to train with than me?"
He pointed to his mouth and shook his head, which meant he was probably a lot like Butch. They pondered briefly before pointing to himself and trying to act scary. Which did at least make Charlotte chuckle before shaking his head.
"So they think you are scary then? That's honestly expected at this point. I don't see how kindness can be so scary to them, though."
He shrugged, watching as he cooked the rabbit's meat over the fire. There was plenty of food for him and them, so he might as well share.
"Can I get your name?"
They move their hand, placing it into the grass and slowly around his hand. The grass seemed to disappear till it was gone, as he wrote into the dirt "Fang" and looked up at him. He had most likely used his power to get rid of the grass since it didn't grow immediately after he got rid of it. Still, even with the rabbit, the grass healed quickly, so how was his different?
"Nice to meet you, Fang; I hope we can get along."
He extends his hand towards him. Fang seemed hesitant, but he shook his hand. He tilted his head and looked confused as they shook hands, but Charlotte didn't pay much attention before focusing on cooking the food.
While Charlotte was looking away, he brought his hand closer to Charlotte. His tunic started to have small holes appear, and the sleeve slowly disappeared before he pulled his hand away.
Charlotte was honestly nervous about looking back; he could feel how intense Fang was staring at him. If he looked back, he would break and give him the first piece of meat. He couldn't do that since he was practically starving, though.
He ate some of the rabbit's meat while letting the rest cook, feeling guilty and making sure not to turn to look at him. After another piece was finished cooking, he handed it to Fang.
Fang was taken off guard as he suddenly moved quickly and held a piece of meat before him. Fang looked at the slice of meat and back at Charlotte, who didn't look at him while he ate.
Fang smiled and grabbed the meat; he tapped his shoulder till he turned around and bowed. Charlotte mumbled something under his breath and went back to eating.
He didn't know how to react to others; to be fair, he spent most of his time working and talking to customers occasionally. He was struggling enough trying to ascend, and now he had to learn to interact with people; why was life so intent on pushing him?
He started laughing at his thoughts; it wasn't that difficult if he had been honest. It was new and something he wasn't used to; talking to people older than him was simple. Talking to those around his age was always tricky, except when they were fighting, that was always simple.
Having a sparring partner would be a blessing, although he also had his classmates, but he somehow doubted they would want to talk with him. Wait...Fang couldn't speak, so would this even help him get better...Surely!
