"Squeak, squeak!"
The ring overflowed with some black mist, which instantly invaded the body of the little white mouse. The poor little white mouse only twitched in pain for a few moments before collapsing on the ground without moving.
A very powerful curse!
Hermione asked, "Is this enough?"
Having said that, Hermione knew very well that Voldemort's curse would not be broken so easily.
"Let's try again!" Andy sighed.
Andy summoned a second mouse with the Summoning Charm, but its fate was basically the same as its predecessor's - it died after being cursed with just a few screams.
Andy spread his hands and said helplessly, "Curse magic is my knowledge blind spot, I've never learnt any magic in this area."
"Me neither!"
Hermione wasn't going to give up, she said, "When the third year starts, we can have a look in the forbidden book section, maybe we can find a way to break the curse."
"As for now, we just need to refrain from wearing the ring."
Andy wasn't that naive.
This was Voldemort's curse, how could a way to break it be found in the forbidden book section? If it was really that easy, the Defence Against the Dark Arts Class curse wouldn't have existed for so long.
"I have an idea ..."
Andy's eyes lit up, "To be honest, I've wanted to do this for a long time, but I've never dared to."
"Well, today is an exception, because we destroyed a Horcrux. So I want to try this stunt."
A stunt?
Hermione froze at the words, then her face became very odd as if she thought of something.
That stunt, it couldn't be the Summoning Charm, could it?
Andy gripped his wand tightly with his right hand, his face filled with solemnity, and then he waved his wand violently, gathering all of his mental power into the belief of summoning, and shouted under his breath, "Accio Dumbledore!"
Hermione: "..."
Fuck!
The moment he used the Summoning Charm to summon Dumbledore, most of the magic power in Andy's body was drained in the blink of an eye, and the rest of it was draining away at an extremely fast speed.
Andy hastily stopped the magic.
"Whew..."
In just an instant, Andy's forehead was already covered in cold sweat.
Andy didn't know what the cost would be when the magic power was drained, but Andy didn't intend to know that - the terror of that moment was unprecedented.
"Andy, how are you?"
Hermione rushed to hold Andy up, with a look of anxiety on her face, "Andy, are you okay?"
Andy let out a deep breath and shook his head to indicate that Hermione didn't need to worry, before saying, "I'm fine, but the spell failed. It's a good thing that I discontinued the spell ahead of time, which didn't cause an irreparable magic accident."
At this moment, Andy finally knew where the patients in St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries came from.
Magic could be dangerous!
But when a wizard is skilled in magic, magic becomes controllable and convenient.
This convenience makes it easy to overlook the risks of magic.
Live in fear, die in peace!
Andy's death this time was a clear case of dying in peace.
***
Hogsmeade, the Hog's Head Inn.
It was a centuries-old, cramped and dirty little pub.
The pub is located on the corner of the main road in the Hogsmeade village. The few windows here were so thick with grime that light barely penetrated, and the rough wooden tables were lit with some candles for illumination.
And right now, the greatest wizard of the twentieth century - Albus Dumbledore - was hanging out in this pub, eating and drinking, without planning to pay.
The owner of the pub - Aberforth Dumbledore - was currently standing behind the counter, looking at his brother with disgust.
Aberforth wasn't planning to talk to his brother or take his money - the two brothers had been like this for almost a hundred years.
When had it started?
Probably since their sister, Ariana Dumbledore, died!
"Huh?"
Dumbledore suddenly froze as he felt a summoning force that barely lasted a moment.
Albiforth looked at his brother.
"I have to go out," Dumbledore said as he got up.
"That would be great."
Aberforth said nonchalantly, "What now? Well, you better hurry up and never come back!"
Dumbledore was unconcerned as he cleared the table of cutlery before slowly walking out of the Hog's Head Inn.
Dumbledore knew what the power that had summoned him was.
It was the Summoning Charm!
This was incredible!
Dumbledore couldn't imagine what wizard was so reckless as to summon him with a Summoning Charm, at such a great distance from each other.
Did he want to die?
Dumbledore decided to go over and have a look, if he was lucky, he might be able to send the other party to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries so that the other party could spend the rest of his life in a hospital bed.
It was a little better than being dead.
Snap!
Dumbledore's figure materialised, and he frowned as he surveyed the mansion in front of him - he knew this place, it was the old mansion of the Gaunt family after they had gone bankrupt.
Who would come here?
Dumbledore knew that the Gaunt family was connected to Voldemort, but he didn't think that this place would be of any value.
How could Voldemort possibly look at these poor relatives?
Just as Dumbledore was puzzled, a dialogue between two people was heard from within the mansion.
A man and a woman, and the voices were very familiar.
"Do you really not need to go to the hospital?"
"There's really no need, I know my state. I terminated my magic early and was not harmed."
"Okay! What about the ring?"
"Well ... let's put it in a box and take it with us! When I get home, I'll write a letter to Headmaster Dumbledore so he can come over and take care of it."
"It's a good idea! Headmaster Dumbledore always has a way. By the way, you must remind Dumbledore not to put this ring on."
The other voice suddenly fell silent for a moment, "Maybe we can use this ring to kill Dumbledore!"
Dumbledore: "..."
He knew who the two people in the room were.
But Dumbledore wasn't sure if he should be here at the moment.
After all, the two in the room were 'premeditating' to kill him, and his sudden appearance might embarrass them.
"Don't joke around, that curse is powerful." The girl in the room said.
"Hermione, I suddenly have a bad feeling about something."
"Let's get out of here immediately!"
"Good!"
Creak-
The door to the old house was pushed open.
Hermione suddenly froze, and Andy's entire being stiffened right in place.
"Professor Dumbledore!?" Hermione blurted out in relief.
"Professor Dumbledore, hello." Andy was truly a little embarrassed.
Others might not know the truth, but Andy was very clear that he had really considered using the curse to kill Dumbledore - when he might turn into his enemy.
