Chapter 163 - Chapter 163 Basic Spell: Lightning

Snape's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze somewhat dangerously sizing up Andy.

You call that common sense?

Don't you deserve points deductions for that?

But ... Snape had to admit that if Andy was telling the truth, then his perceptiveness was definitely far beyond that of the young wizards in school.

Even adult wizards, he believed, might not be able to compare to Andy.

"Don't tell anyone else!" Snape warned, crossing over Andy, to leave straight away.

He was heading off to class.

"Of course!" Andy responded casually.

It wasn't like Andy really liked to spread gossip, it was just a matter of talking to Hermione, if he told anyone else ... only a few people would believe it.

'Hermione...should help me take leave, right?'

The corner of Andy's mouth unconsciously raised slightly, 'So that means I don't have to go to this Herbology class?'

No class in the afternoon?

Andy stretched his back, it was a beautiful day!

Looking around and seeing that no one had noticed him, Andy smiled from ear to ear and headed directly towards the Ravenclaw common room.

It was time to learn a little something new for the new school year.

Returning to the common room, Andy took out the Chinese magic books and casually found one and flipped through it.

Although they were all basic books, Andy still hoped to learn some different knowledge.

Even if it was just a magic unique to China, after learning it, it would be able to raise the red liquid inside the system orb.

Almost a month had passed since the last time he added points, and in more than twenty days, Andy had saved three more potential points.

This time, Andy was prepared to save seven potential points and directly add the [Charms] talent to [7] points.

In the magic world, seven was a magical number.

It was mentioned in many books.

Andy was curious to know if something different would happen when his [Charms] talent reached [7] points.

For example, a direct transcendence?

And also, when a certain talent was added to more than [8] points, what changes would occur?

Andy was very much looking forward to this.

For now, every ten days or so, Andy could get a new [Potential Point].

Although the more magic was learnt, the less it became, and the higher level magic became more and more difficult. But as Andy's talent improved, previously learnt magic spells would progress again, and high-level magic would be easier to learn.

Overall, the difficulty of obtaining [Potential Points] did not increase.

But this was only temporary.

Although the system had ten talents, the only way to increase the red liquid inside the orb was to improve the five aptitudes on the left side.

What Andy was currently mainly learning was charms and transfiguration spells.

Compared to the many and diverse magic spells, the red liquid within the orb would rise relatively slowly when practising Transfiguration.

That was why Andy had been very eager for new magic spells.

"This is ..."

Andy's movement of flipping through the book paused.

"Lightning Magic?"

Andy glanced at the title of the book.

Basic Spells in Detail.

It was basic spells, right?

"Lightning Spell is a basic spell?" Andy was a little puzzled.

In Andy's impression, the legendary Lightning Spell was a rather high-end spell. In many sects, it was a spell that only core disciples could learn.

At least that was what many novels in his previous life had written.

Andy hurriedly continued reading downwards.

After reading the key points of casting the Lightning Spell, as well as the spell details, Andy couldn't help but reveal an expression of 'I see'.

Lightning Magic, to put it bluntly, is to use a wand (wooden sword?) to send out a bolt of lightning to attack others.

Compared to those magic spells that directly killed people, Lightning Magic was indeed considered a basic spell.

According to the book's description, there are higher-level spells, which are not only powerful but also extremely destructive.

It was a pity that there was no record of that magic spell in the book.

Andy sighed in disappointment, picked up his wand and gently waved it according to the spell's requirements, and the tip of the wand flashed with several bright white rays of electricity.

It was in the common room, after all, so Andy wouldn't exactly practice his magic here.

"Looks okay."

Andy muttered to himself, "Although it can't kill a person in seconds, it should be enough to incapacitate a person after being skilled enough with it."

"Let's find a place to practice later."

Andy continued to read the book.

Eastern and Western cultures were different, and the understanding of 'basic' was also different.

Compared to the competition between schools, the competition between sects would undoubtedly be a little more brutal.

After all, there was always a day when a student would graduate from school, but when one joined a sect, it was a lifelong relationship.

That was why the 'Basic Magic' in China would be more biased towards combat ability.

After reading the 'Basic Spells in Detail', Andy learnt several useful magic spells.

"Andy!!!"

A slightly angry voice came from behind Andy, "You actually skipped class! In the last ten years, something this bad has never happened at Hogwarts."

Andy was startled.

"Don't put it that way, you've even helped me take a leave of absence."

Andy said helplessly, "Also, the Weasley twins sold quick-acting potion class candies last year, and they're said to be selling well."

Hermione was annoyed, "I just took a few minutes off from class for you, and Professor Sprout's face was dark at the end of class."

Andy: "..."

"Why didn't you take a class leave for me?" Andy pressed his temples with a headache.

After thinking about it, Andy made an excuse, "It's fine, wait for next week's Herbology class, if Professor Sprout asks about it, I'll just say that Professor Snape asked me to do an errand for him."

It was assumed that Professor Sprout wouldn't look for Snape to ask about it.

After all, Snape didn't have such a good relationship with people.

"Hmph! You're on your own!"

The young witch complained in dissatisfaction, "If Professor Sprout asks me, I'm not going to help you cover your tracks."

"Maybe she'll forget next week," Andy said expectantly.

"Right!"

Andy said as he got up, "I'm going to practice a few spells, do you want to come along?"

Hermione had decided not to bother Andy for an hour, but when it came to practising magic ...

When she thought of the fact that she hadn't touched her wand for a summer, and also thought of Andy's improved Patronus Charm ... the little witch nodded reluctantly, "Yes!"

The abandoned classroom on the fifth floor of the castle.

"Andy, can you show me your patronus charm?" Hermione asked with an expectant face.

This summer, Andy had mentioned the Patronus Charm more than once in the letters he wrote to her.

The little witch had been looking forward to it for a long time.

Andy waved his wand.

A silver-white fat cat flew out from the tip of the wand and flew around Hermione in a circle before stopping a metre in front of her.

Hermione had a closer look at the fat cat patronus.

"It looks like it has got bigger."

Hermione commented, "You're right, it does have a lot more lively eyes."

Thinking of the Patronus charm that Andy had cast earlier without even reciting an incantation, with just a wave of his wand.

Hermione said with some longing, "I've decided that I'll practice the Patronus Charm once I've become proficient in the spells I've learnt in the first year."
