Practising the Patronus Charm - Huh? ...
Andy was a little hesitant on whether to dispel this unrealistic idea of Hermione's.
The normal Patronus Charm, apart from transmitting a bit of information, its main function would be to ward off Dementors and Lethifolds.
It was a rubbish spell!
Many people probably wouldn't get to use it for the rest of their lives even if they learnt it.
As for Andy's Patronus Charm ...
That was Andy's unique magic, not something others could learn.
After all, Hermione didn't have the means to bring her magic back to an unstable state, so naturally, she didn't have the means to make her Patronus as spiritual as a fat cat Patronus.
Only ...
Andy thought about it and didn't open his mouth to mention it in the end.
Learning the Patronus Charm was not bad either.
Although the Patronus Charm was nothing more than cold magic, it involved the use of emotions after all, and it was not bad to practice it.
At least it could help Hermione get a better grasp of her emotions.
When the fat cat patronus saw Hermione staring at itself, it first blinked, flipped in the air to try to be cute, and then stretched out its paw to try to touch Hermione.
Where the hell are you touching?
Andy speechless palmed his forehead, and was about to open his mouth to explain that this was definitely not what he intended to do when he heard Hermione exclaim with delight: "So cute! I wonder what my Patronus will be?"
A rabbit, I think!
Andy gave Hermione's front teeth a non-traceable glance and wisely chose to shut up.
The subject had been brought up on the train home for the summer holidays.
Andy felt his feet ache.
Dispersing the Patronus, Andy greeted Hermione and then began to concentrate on practising his magic.
Firstly, he used Transfiguration to turn the chair into a wooden target.
With a wave of his wand, a bright white lightning bolt flashed instantly and shattered the target with a 'bang'.
"The power is not bad!"
Andy nodded with satisfaction.
Having as high as six points in Charms Talent allowed Andy to quickly learn a new magic spell and then swiftly become proficient at it in a very short period of time.
Andy waved his wand again.
The wooden target that had been blasted to pieces was instantly restored.
It was strong!
Andy felt that his current self was really much stronger.
When he was at home during the summer holidays, Andy practised duelling (mixed doubles for the couple?) with Kyle and Helen; the two of them joined hands, and both of them were suppressed by Andy one by one.
While Kyle and Helen didn't use their full strength, Andy likewise didn't put up a real fight.
What's more, after that duel, Andy not only mastered the skill of silent spell casting, but also raised his [Charms] talent to [6] points, and his strength increased drastically.
'I wonder how much I'm still short compared to Snape now?'
Andy drifted a little.
'Should I find a time ... to make an appointment with Snape?'
Apart from Dumbledore and Voldemort, Snape was the most talented adult wizard Andy had ever known.
Andy had seen duelling matches and knew the power level of those duelling masters.
When the school year started last year, Andy still felt that they were a bit unreachable.
But after just one year, Andy felt that even if he still couldn't defeat them, the gap between them had shrunk to a very small size.
As for Snape ... he might have been really talented when he was in school, but he had to take classes and research magic potions at the same time over the years, so he simply didn't have time to practice magic.
Andy thought he might be able to do this.
'Let's find a chance to have a Solo with Snape.' Andy made up his mind.
After defeating Snape, let's see if he still dares to yell at me in the future.
He also said something about 'not being allowed to tell anyone else again'.
I'll just go around talking about it, what can you do to me?
'It's just that ... this opportunity isn't very easy to find.'
He couldn't just run into Snape's office in the middle of the night and sneak up on him, could he?
'Challenge in person?'
No, that would be more likely to get points deducted.
"Well ..."
Andy pondered, 'How exactly should I challenge him?'
***
The time spent practising flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was evening.
"Andy, we should go eat." Looking at Andy, who was concentrating on practising magic, Hermione's gaze was slightly complicated.
For more than two hours of practice, the only sound in the classroom was Hermione's recitation of incantations.
Hermione had observed Andy.
No matter what kind of magic, Andy seemed as if he didn't need to recite incantations, he could use all kinds of magic just by gently waving his wand.
Not only that, Andy's magic spell power seemed to have increased a bit.
It was only a short two-month absence, and the gap between the two had become bigger again.
The little witch was a little frustrated.
'Is it already this time?'
Glancing at the sky outside the window, Andy put his wand away, "Alright, let's go to the Great Hall."
Seeing that Hermione's face looked a little off, Andy asked with concern, "What's wrong, too tired?"
"Nothing." Hermione shook her head.
"You're not all right."
Andy stared at Hermione, "I've told you my secret, what else can't we talk about between the two of us?"
"I just ..."
The young witch hesitated a little, then said forcefully, "You're a boy, don't just pry into girls' secrets."
After saying that, Hermione quickened her pace and walked in front of Andy.
Oh, it's time for the great-aunt to come!
Andy pondered, would 'drink more hot water' advice seem too insensitive?
When they came to the great hall, it was still as lively as usual.
Only by coming here could Andy feel that hustle and bustle that was unique to the school.
Whether it was the library or the abandoned classrooms on the fifth floor, it was all too quiet.
Sitting at the Ravenclaw's long table, Andy poured a glass of milk and handed it to Hermione, "Have some!"
"Thanks." The young witch readily accepted the offer.
"I'll be able to read those Chinese spell books in about two weeks, and then I'll translate them for you."
Andy said, "It's okay, right?"
"You don't have to rush, I can read them whenever it's ready." Hermione nodded, "Thanks."
"Right!"
Hermione suddenly looked at Andy and said in a serious tone, "We have an astronomy class tonight, don't you dare skip it again."
Astronomy class, huh ...
Andy groaned, "You know, it's not like magic can make people fly into outer space, so what's the point of us learning about the operation of celestial bodies?"
"Maybe it has something to do with some kind of magic?"
Hermione guessed, "I read in a book that the Centaur predict the future based on the orbits of the celestial bodies. When we get to the third year, we'll be able to take Divination, so maybe what we learnt in Astronomy will be used in Divination."
Andy's face was expressionless, "Divination is only an elective class, but astronomy class goes all the way to fifth grade."
I don't believe the two classes could be related.
Hermione spread her hands: I don't know, then.
"Speaking of Centaur ..."
Andy said excitedly, "Hermione, did you know? There's a herd of Centaur living in the Forbidden Forest near the school."
"There are still Centaurs in the Forbidden Forest?"
Luna looked over, "Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop."
Hermione turned her head and then looked at Andy with stern eyes.
You've been corrupting the children again!
