Chapter 109 - Chapter 109 Snape: I always feel like you are trying to trick me

"I would prefer Harry to Collins."

Dumbledore was well aware of the sparkle in Harry that Andy didn't have.

Andy was indeed capable, not just of magic talent, Andy was equally brilliant in other areas.

There were some qualities, however, that talent could not make up for.

Snape had little interest in these matters, he asked, "What do you want to do, find Collins and give him a lecture?"

Dumbledore shook his head.

Andy had put the book back, so what's the use of another lecture?

People understood the reasoning, but they just wouldn't change.

"That child has already developed an interest in dark magic."

Having said that, Dumbledore wasn't really too worried, "You'll have to deal with Voldemort next, leave Collins' side to me!"

"What are you going to do?" Snape was really curious, after all these years, it was the first time he had seen Dumbledore care so much about a young wizard.

"Do you know about Collins' wand?"

Dumbledore answered himself, "I asked Mr. Ollivander, pine wood, phoenix tail feather. It represents longevity and solitary."

Snape: "..."

He never thought that Dumbledore would even care about such small details.

But... longevity and solitary...

Seeing Snape's expression, Dumbledore sighed, "Yes! Immortality and power, and a mindset that doesn't put anyone else in the picture."

It was practically the same as Voldemort.

The only difference between the two was ambition.

Snape could see that Andy didn't have any thoughts of reforming the magical world. It wasn't that he couldn't see the flaws in today's magical world, but he simply didn't care.

And because of this, even if Andy was addicted to dark magic, he would at most become a dark wizard in the future.

The difference between a dark wizard and a dark lord, the influence caused by the difference of one word, is a world of difference.

If Voldemort is just a simple dark wizard, it's actually not that scary.

"When Voldemort went to school, he would hide his ambitions and behaviour, but Collins...he never cared about that."

"Luckily though, Collins at least knows what love is, he cares about his family and his little girlfriend ..."

At this point, Dumbledore seemed to suddenly realize that he was talking a bit too much, "It's just easy to be wordy when you're old."

Snape glanced at Dumbledore, he always felt that Dumbledore was luring him.

Little girlfriends and stuff, it was most annoying.

***

Hogwarts had finally regained its peace since Quirrell's matter had been settled. Andy was also finally relieved that he didn't have to spend the whole day in worry that Quirrell would retaliate against him.

Life at Hogwarts was actually quite boring.

In his previous life, when he went to school, at least there were game consoles to play and TV to watch. Whereas the entertainment in the magical world was rather monotonous, the only activity in school was Quidditch.

It was no wonder that the young wizards liked to spread gossip.

It was purely due to idleness.

Hermione's work went quite well, although she and Cho Chang had a grade difference, little girls can become BFFs (superficial) just by talking to each other.

Hermione also looked up quite a bit of information on the Chinese magical world for this purpose.

Hermione's side of the progress is smooth, so Cedric and Andy are also contacted more often.

Andy also proceeded to test Cedric's magic level in the name of communicating about magic.

To be honest, Andy was a bit disappointed.

In the third year, Cedric's strength was indeed outstanding, but in Andy's opinion, Cedric's level later on would not even be comparable to Snape's.

This was not caused by talent.

Snape lived in a time of war, while Cedric lived in a time of peace, the two people's pursuit of magic would not be the same, and the purpose of learning magic would not be the same.

Andy even felt that if they really fought, Cedric might not even be his opponent.

Moreover, Cedric's character was free-spirited and quite a bit righteous, not the same type as himself.

After discovering this, Andy immediately dismissed the intention of developing a deep friendship with Cedric.

It was really hard to find a like-minded partner at Hogwarts.

Well...unless it was Slytherin!

Andy sometimes wondered if he should pull in a few Slytherin students.

For example...Malfoy.

Throughout the whole of Hogwarts, only Slytherin was slightly decent.

It's just that their talent is so bad!

He wondered if it was because of inbreeding, there were really a lot of stupid people in Slytherin.

It wasn't as if Andy hadn't gained anything at all.

As long as he could fool Cho Chang into making a trip back to China and help Andy bring some private goods from the Chinese magic world, it would be considered a big profit for Andy.

"Andy, your birthday is April 16th, right?"

In the corridor of the castle, Cedric asked while lending the organized notes to Andy.

"You've already started teaching yourself third-year spells? That's awesome!"

Cedric marvelled, "When I was your age, I didn't think about studying for an upper-level course in advance."

When they communicated about spells earlier, Cedric realized that Andy had already mastered second-year spells.

Not only that, Andy had also taught himself a lot of magic in the library that wasn't taught in school.

No wonder everyone said Andy was obsessed with magic.

"It's always good to learn more magic."

Andy took Cedric's extra notes, "Thanks, I'll give them back to you once I've copied them."

"You don't want to take twelve courses like Percy Weasley, do you?" Cedric quipped.

"Of course not!"

Andy laughed, "I'll only study what interests me."

"You're welcome. By the way, are you planning to organize a birthday party? Use that secret passage." Cedric said shyly.

Andy glanced at Cedric, "I'm not too familiar with Cho, even if I held a birthday party, I wouldn't invite her."

Cedric was a bit bitter.

He had done his research, he had read a lot of books on the topic of China, on the topic of Quidditch, and even on the topic of humour.

He believed that if he was given a chance, he could become friends with Cho Chang.

But this chance was the hardest part.

Unless he waited until next year.

If Cho Chang joined the Ravenclaw team, he could wait until the end of the game and take the opportunity to strike up a conversation with Cho Chang.

But that would be too long.

"Why don't you just write her a love letter, I can have Hermione give it to Cho for you," Andy suggested.

"No, No!"

Cedric waved his hands back and forth, "No, I'll just find another chance!"

"Right!"

Andy suddenly looked at Cedric with interest, "Are you interested in duelling me and giving it a try?"

"After learning magic for so long, I haven't really fought someone in real combat yet."

Cedric had an odd expression, "You and me?"

"Don't you want to try?" Andy compelled.

Cedric was really a bit tempted.

He was already in his third year, but when it came to duelling with someone, he really didn't have any experience in that area.
