Chapter 63 - Chapter 63 The Collins family has a tradition

Andy realized that Helen had truly learned the wrong things.

She, a Gryffindor, should have become a hero like Harry's parents, quietly guarding the peace of the wizarding world.

But she had married Andy's father, Kyle Collins, instead.

The Collins family has a tradition of being wilful and bad!

Take Andy's Grandfather - Norman Collins, for example.

Don't look at the fact that he is now so wide and fat that he can't even beat Andy. But when he was young, he didn't miss out on smuggling illegal goods through muggle channels.

Another example was Andy's father.

Although Kyle is just an ordinary Ministry of Magic employee, he pulls strings when he should pull strings, and when he should embezzle, he embezzles more than anyone else.

Then there was Andy.

Well...Andy always thought he was a good kid, a mature and reliable young wizard.

Maybe Andy didn't carry on the family tradition.

What Helen was like before, Andy didn't really know, but the Helen she had become now - if she returned to Hogwarts for her sorting, maybe the Sorting Hat would sort her into Azkaban.

It hadn't been once or twice that Helen had brewed up some illegal potions to sell, and she had told Andy to use a killing curse when he ran into an enemy in private, so maybe she had done it herself.

A ruthless character!

"Understood!" Andy gestured an OK sign.

"Mom, then, can you teach me the killing curse?" Andy really wanted to learn this spell.

Never mind if dark magic was evil or not, just from the perspective of fighting the enemy, the killing curse would work really well.

"You?"

Helen rubbed Andy's head, "Don't even think about it! You can practice magic by yourself, I'm going back to the house to prepare lunch."

Andy was a little disappointed.

Helen appeared to have accompanied Andy to practice magic for a while, but in reality, Andy didn't learn much.

And this was the norm in the magical world now.

Let alone an ordinary wizard family like Collins, even a pureblood family like Malfoy that had been passed down for a thousand years would not demand too much from their offspring in terms of strength.

This was caused by the entire general environment.

Andy estimated that perhaps only when Voldemort resurrected, those free-spirited wizards would really focus on strength!

Without thinking much more, Andy continued practising magic.

Helen made the right comment about one thing, Andy's current level of magic just looked good, but there was still a long way to go before actual combat.

Well...it was kind of like the gap between fancy basketball and the NBA.

The reason for this was partly due to combat experience, while on the other hand, it was because Andy hadn't trained in that direction for the time being.

Just like what Helen said, as long as you build a good foundation, it's actually easy to learn those in the future.

Killing curse can kill people, Blasting curse can also kill people.

As long as you can hit the enemy.

Christmas.

Andy had already sent out his gifts early.

The gift for Harry was a few photos, and the gifts for his roommate, Ron, and some chit-chat friends were a greeting card and a package of candies.

For a young wizard, these were good enough.

As for the gift for Hermione, Andy had carefully prepared some, a collection of legends and stories of the magical world.

The little witch is a know-it-all, Andy also hoped that the little witch could find the clues of those legends in other magic books.

On top of that, Andy had prepared gifts for the professors.

It was not popular in the magical world to give red envelopes to teachers, and Christmas gifts were Andy's only chance to impress, so Andy had put some thought into it.

Except for Professor Snape, the gifts for the other professors were all scarves - just the style was different.

In cold weather, an extra cloth to wear highlights the heart of a student who cares about his teacher.

As for Professor Snape, Andy gave him a bottle of shampoo and a greeting card.

This was Andy's decision after thinking hard about it.

Andy also wrote his own blessing on the card: may you regain your spirit, don't waste your time, and start a new life with a smile.

In short, Andy hoped that Professor Snape could take good care of himself, he is still young and still has a bright future, and he can't give up the pursuit of a better life in the future just because of a tragic past.

Snape, a magic genius, who could create his own magic spells when he was a student, seeing him degenerate into what he is now, Andy felt regretful on his behalf.

Inside the bedroom, Andy was sitting on the bed wrapped in a quilt, and Isabel was busy helping Andy open his gifts.

The little lass didn't have many friends, her Christmas gifts were all sent to her by relatives, nothing more than some snacks, clothes, and toys.

Nothing new.

After opening her own gifts, the little girl turned her thoughts to Andy.

"Andy, you don't like candy, do you?" Isabel asked casually as she put the candy into her pocket.

"Love it, who says I don't?"

Andy said with a yawn, "Isa if you steal my gift, I'll hide all your snacks."

"Hmph!" Isabel pouted and reluctantly took out the candies.

"Huh? This jumper is so ugly."

Isabel took a jumper and compared it on her body, her face was first full of dislike, then she exclaimed in a high voice, "Andy, I can't believe a girl gave you a jumper!"

"Told you, I have a female friend."

Andy rubbed his nose, although he was a little embarrassed in his heart, on his face, he had a smug look, "In a few years, you'll also be an aunt. Isa, it doesn't matter if you snatch my snacks, but if you snatch your nephew's snacks, it will be a shame."

"I won't!"

Isabel quickly stepped into the role of an aunt and said, "I'll buy snacks for my nephew every day and only snatch from you."

"Then you have to make money first."

Andy glanced at the little girl, "Don't buy it with my pocket money!"

"Hmph! I'll start saving money from now on." Isabel said with conviction.

After playing around with the little girl for a while, Andy was in a good mood.

"Isa, don't forget what you said today."

Andy picked up his wand and cleaned up the room, "Let's go out, or else mom will be angry again."

"Isn't it because you are sleeping in every day," Isabel muttered, she felt as if she had lost a lot of money somehow.

Walking out of the room, Andy immediately smelled a strong aroma.

Helen and Grandmother Veronica were preparing breakfast in the kitchen.

Andy had a look, the two just stood in the open space of the kitchen and waved their wands, the ingredients would cook themselves and then fly to the plate to neatly arrange themselves in a regular manner.

"Andy-"

Andy looked around to see a twenty-something witch walking briskly over, giving Andy a warm hug as soon as they met.

"I was wondering when on earth you little slacker would get out of bed."

"Merry Christmas, Auntie." Andy struggled a bit, "You're about to suffocate me."
