To date, Andy has been formally practising magic for two and a half years, and he thinks he has a good grasp of it.
Magic power is a kind of energy that comes from life.
If you add mental power to this energy, you can create a new magical being in the magic power.
The body is made of magic power, and the soul is made of mental power.
The Poltergeist Peeves, the Fat Cat Patronus... There are many similar examples in the magical world to prove this.
The mental power that gave birth to the Peeves was the 'rebellious' emotions of all the young wizards at Hogwarts, who were suppressed by the pressure of their schoolwork, which is why the Peeves was so naughty.
And the mental power that gave birth to the Obscurus was the inner emotion of 'hating their own magic'.
The Obscurus, born from this negative emotion, may instinctively reject their hosts.
Hating their own magic, aren't they also hating themselves?
This may be the main reason why Obscurus will leave its host.
As for what Sirius said about the Obscurus being unable to adapt to stable magic, that may also be one of the reasons.
'Hmm...' Andy mused inwardly.
Thinking about the two Obscurials in the Dumbledore family who lived beyond the age of ten, Andy felt that he might have been thinking too much, and perhaps Sirius's words were correct.
After all, all of Andy's thoughts were just theories.
And the Black family has actually done the Obscurus experiments!
"Andy, what are you thinking about?"
Hermione looked at Andy and frowned, saying, "You've been holding that sausage for almost three minutes."
"Huh?" Andy froze for a moment and then realised that there was a sausage stuck in the fork in his hand.
"Sorry, I was lost in thought."
Andy put the sausage on the plate, turned to Hermione, and asked, "If an organ in our body has a thought of its own, for example, the eye, what do you think it would probably do?"
"Let's put it this way. I hate my eyes. What do you think the eyes would do in this situation?"
Hermione looked at Andy with a complicated expression. "Are you still thinking about the Obscurus thing?"
Andy nodded and admitted, "The fusion of mind and magic is the subject I have been focusing on. That's why I was able to successfully improve my Patronus Charm."
"Hmm..." Hermione bit her lip.
"If it's a person... if you hate that person, that person will naturally keep a distance from you."
Hermione thought for a moment and said with deliberation, "But if it's one of our own organs... well, it's magic! It's part of us. Hmm... I can't really think of what it would do."
"Actually, isn't your Patronus pretty good?"
Hermione continued, "Magic life can also be created by fusing happy emotions with magic."
Andy's eyes lit up at this. "You're right!"
In fact, Andy had suspected a long time ago that the creation of an Obscurus did not necessarily require the use of negative emotions.
The key still lies in 'suppression'!
The Obscurus forms because of the suppression of the mind by an external environment filled with 'magic dislike'.
The Peeves was formed because of the suppression of the student's mind caused by heavy schoolwork.
The formation of the Fat Cat Patronus seems to be a magic spell that releases the power of the mind. But when Andy injects all his happy emotions into the magic, it is actually a kind of suppression.
And the Patronus Charm is just a spell!
The Fat Cat Patronus is fundamentally different from the other two magical beings.
"What did you think of?" Hermione asked curiously.
"Well...actually, I've been misunderstanding all along."
Andy's eyes sparkled as he explained excitedly, "In the fusion of the mind and magic, Obscurus may just be a failure."
"The key to creating Obscurus is to 'suppress magic', and the prerequisite for 'suppressing magic'... is actually a flare-up of magic!"
"If magic doesn't overflow, how can you talk about suppression?"
"Think about it. In what situation would a young wizard's magic overflow? And in what situation would they suppress their magical powers?"
Andy asked himself the question and answered, "Only when someone close to the young wizard hates him or even hurts him because of his magic, will the young wizard become agitated and his magic will start to overflow due to deep emotions, but for various reasons, he/she will suppress it."
The more Andy talked, the more he felt that this was the correct view.
There is not just one way to create an Obscurus.
Rather, under certain conditions, only that method can create an Obscurus.
"Andy, you are right!"
Hermione was very clever; she immediately understood what Andy meant.
"The condition for creating an Obscurus is to suppress unstable magic."
"Only young wizards under the age of ten have unstable magic."
"But what do young wizards know?"
"Only when someone close to them hates their magic and hurts them because of it will the young wizard be on the verge of an emotional and magical outburst and at the same time have to suppress their magic."
"Other than that, it is difficult to create the special circumstances for the birth of Obscurus."
Hermione was a little excited.
She felt that she and Andy had solved a problem that had been plaguing the wizarding world for thousands of years.
Only young wizards had unstable magic.
They were hurt, so their magic overflowed.
And they were afraid, so they suppressed their magic.
That's the reason why special circumstances had to be created for the formation of the Obscurus.
"Exactly!"
Andy said, "In theory, this is not the only condition. But in reality, it is the only condition."
"Young wizards don't know how to control their magic, so they can only use the power of their emotions."
"Being hurt or hated because of their magic, having their magic triggered by being hurt, and then suppressing their magic because they hate the magic that caused them to be hurt."
"These are the conditions for the formation of Obscurus!"
It sounded a bit long-winded, but in fact, it was an inevitable and unique chain of logical events.
Andy already knew what he should do.
Even if the conclusion was wrong, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it out.
A summer without using magic, plus a slight increase in [Magic] attributes... Apart from that, Andy doesn't have to do anything for this experiment.
It's safe and painless.
If it fails, there's no loss, but if it succeeds... then it's a huge profit.
The fusion of mind and magic.
The legendary unity of spirit and essence he read in the cultivation lore!
If you use the term from a Fantasy novel, Obscurus is actually very similar to having an inner demon or obsession.
After looking at Andy's expression, Hermione asked with raised eyebrows, "Are you going to try it?"
"Er..." Andy was embarrassed for a moment.
Hermione relentlessly pursued, "In fact, on the day Black came to school... no, perhaps even earlier, you already had this idea, didn't you?"
"...Okay! I don't want to lie to you."
Andy put his hands together and said, "In fact, before I even went to school, I was already looking into Obscurus information."
