"It's still early. Do you want to go to the Astronomy Tower for a while?" Hermione asked Andy after the dinner.
"Sure!" Andy readily agreed.
The Astronomy Tower was a pleasant place to look at the stars, but normally no young wizards would come here for a date. Because the Astronomy Tower was not very secure, anyone could come up here.
Luckily, magic could solve this problem.
"Protego Maxima, Cave inimicum..."
As Andy recited the incantation, a bright white magical barrier sealed the entrance to the Astronomy Tower.
This way, even if someone came over, they would be stopped by the magical barrier.
"If the professor finds out, he might deduct twenty points from us," Hermione gave Andy a slanted glance.
"Only Professor McGonagall will deduct our points."
Andy chuckled, "If it's any other professor, I can handle it."
The young witch glared at Andy fiercely on hearing this.
The stars were shining brightly tonight.
Andy and Hermione found a place to sit down. Hermione looked at the stars and asked, "Andy, do you remember? It was here we first talked about your dreams."
"Ah!" Andy responded.
To be honest, Andy felt a little embarrassed.
Back then, he was indeed a bit immature.
"Andy, if you had the chance to transcend dimensions in the future, what would you do?" Hermione suddenly asked.
Andy was silent for a moment.
Going beyond this dimension?
A shooting star streaked across the night sky, and Andy was lost in thought. After a long while, Andy said, "Maybe... maybe I'll give up!"
"Why?"
Hermione was a little surprised. "Isn't that your dream?"
Andy said indifferently, "I don't think I can adapt to life in the fourth dimension. I can't even imagine what it would be like."
"In comparison, this is the world I'm familiar with."
If ascending to the fourth dimension truly was feasible, Andy would only consider it as a final option.
Of course, Andy would rather stay in the three-dimensional world than the so-called fourth dimension.
"You know Mr. Nicolas Flamel, don't you?"
Andy looked at Hermione and smiled, "I actually envy him for his life. He lives a reclusive life, and when he feels like it, he goes on holidays all over the world."
"With a long life span, you can do whatever you want, see different landscapes, experience the lives of different people, and see many novel things."
"If you ever get tired of living, you can face death with a clear mind."
To be honest, the Philosopher's Stone is a really good thing.
It can give you a long life and an endless supply of wealth.
In contrast, Dumbledore, although he is said to be the greatest wizard of the 20th century, is very tired. He is over a hundred years old and still worried about the future of the wizarding world.
And then there is Nicolas Flamel, the real winner in life!
Hermione smiled and said, "I thought you would go to that world without hesitation."
Andy said in a relaxed tone, "If the price of immortality is a life worse than death, then I might as well be dead."
"That's right!" Hermione agreed.
They chatted in the Astronomy Tower until after eleven o'clock at night, when suddenly there was a loud noise in the castle.
Andy and Hermione glanced at each other and hurriedly walked down the Astronomy Tower.
On the seventh floor of the castle, the Ravenclaw and Gryffindor wizards were gathered in the corridor. Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall were standing in the middle of the crowd, and the prefects of the two houses were reporting to them.
"Is anyone still missing?" Professor McGonagall asked loudly.
"Professor, Andy and Hermione aren't here!" Someone said.
"We're here," Andy shouted quickly.
Professor McGonagall turned her head, nodded to Andy, and then turned back to Dumbledore.
Andy looked around and quickly found someone he knew.
"Anthony, what's going on?" Andy asked his roommate.
"Oh, Andy! I thought you wouldn't come back tonight."
Anthony joked, then shook his head and said, "I don't know. I heard someone broke into Hogwarts."
Hermione: "..."
"You said someone broke into Hogwarts?" Hermione tried to reconfirm.
After that, Hermione gave Andy a strange look.
The curse of Halloween?
Andy made a "V" sign.
"That's what everyone says."
Anthony said, "It's something that happened on the Gryffindors' side; I'm not really sure about the details."
"I see," Andy waved his hand, indicating that Anthony could go to hell.
Anthony: "..."
"Hermione, I think I know who we should ask," Andy said.
Hermione raised an eyebrow, "I know too."
Harry Potter!
If something has happened at Gryffindor Tower, it must have something to do with Harry.
Andy swept a glance at the crowd, and sure enough, he saw Harry and Ron behind Dumbledore.
Ron looked panicked, while Harry looked full of anger and unwillingness.
I wonder what they've been through.
But this was clearly not the time to ask.
"Looks like I won," Andy said, giving Hermione a smug look.
"There's no such thing as a Halloween curse, is there?" The young witch was full of disbelief. She thought it was too ridiculous.
"Hey, hey,"
Andy laughed, "In the wizarding world, anything is possible."
"Okay!"
Hermione sighed, "You can make your request now."
"I haven't thought of anything yet. I'll let you know when I do," Andy laughed.
"Quiet..."
Hermione was about to speak when she was interrupted by a loud voice.
Dumbledore placed his wand against his neck and said, "In view of the fact that a dark wizard has broken into Hogwarts, everyone will go to the great hall and sleep there for the night."
"The professors and I will search the castle thoroughly."
Someone suddenly shouted, "Professor Dumbledore, I heard that the person who broke into Hogwarts was Peter Pettigrew. Is that true?"
Wow—
The crowd suddenly erupted in a chorus of noise.
"Peter Pettigrew?"
"Impossible, isn't it? The Ministry of Magic has been hunting him, hasn't it? How dare he come to Hogwarts?"
"Ministry of Magic? Do you think those Aurors can catch a Death Eater?"
"But Dumbledore is at Hogwarts!"
"Quiet..." Dumbledore once again raised his voice.
"Minerva!"
Dumbledore said in a serious tone, "You go and take everyone to the great hall to rest."
"Filius, when the other professors arrive, we will search the castle separately, and we must not miss any corner."
Andy then realised that Professor Flitwick was also there.
However, Andy did not see his figure.
"I never thought that the person who broke into Hogwarts was Peter Pettigrew! Andy, could it be..." Hermione looked at Andy in shock.
Andy understood what Hermione meant, but Andy just shook his head, indicating to Hermione not to discuss it here.
It's just that...
Voldemort asked Peter Pettigrew to infiltrate Hogwarts... Could it be that Snape has been exposed?
