Chapter 454 - Chapter 454: Snape changed after a while

At around 9 pm, Andy used the Time-Turner with Snape in the lavatory cubicle.

Snape was initially a little wary, as he thought Andy might be trying to follow him and sneak into the Department of Mysteries.

Andy felt extremely aggrieved.

After all, he only wanted a little extra time to practice magic.

Many courses were lined up, taking up all of Andy's time.

In order not to delay his progress in magic, Andy had to use the Time Turner every day and make the most of every second without wasting any time.

Although he had more time, a day was still not enough.

Fortunately, he could rest a bit on Saturdays and Sundays; otherwise, Andy's energy would have long since been drained by the Time Turner.

After parting with Snape, Andy went to the Room of Requirement and began his usual daily practice.

As for the Department of Mysteries... Andy decided to wait until after the magic transfiguration went well before exploring the Department of Mysteries again – using the magic of death to explore the power behind the curtain.

Perhaps there would be even greater surprises.

***

At 8:30 pm, Andy used the Disillusionment Charm to go into the lavatory.

"Professor?" Andy called softly in a low voice after making sure no one was there.

"..."

There was no answer from the lavatory.

"Professor Snape?"

"…Professor Snape, are you back?"

After calling three times without getting a response, Andy raised an eyebrow and muttered, "He's not back yet? Could something have happened?"

Andy had been to the Ministry of Magic before, so he knew that as long as there were no problems with the plan, exploring the Department of Mysteries shouldn't take long.

If he took a house elf with him, Snape could even Apparate directly from the Ministry of Magic to Hogwarts.

"Hmm..."

Andy pondered for a moment, then suddenly took out his wand and twirled it around in the lavatory.

"Appare Vestigium!"

As the incantation was uttered, a large golden mist of magical light sprinkled on the floor of the lavatory.

"..."

Andy was a little embarrassed.

'He really hasn't come back!' Andy casually put away his wand and then disappeared, hiding in the cubicle of the lavatory.

After waiting for another twenty minutes, seeing that it was almost 9:00 p.m., but Snape still hadn't returned, Andy was beginning to feel a little anxious.

If Snape couldn't return within the specified time, he might never return.

People who didn't follow the rules of time would not fare well.

Creak-

The lavatory door opened, and Andy looked through the gap to see Snape walk in with a sour face.

Andy didn't dare to move because it was almost 9 p.m.—this Snape should be the Snape before time rewound.

After a while, Andy saw another version of himself walk in.

After exchanging greetings, 'Andy' and 'Snape' walked into one of the cubicles. Andy could also hear a familiar conversation taking place in the cubicle—it was 'Snape' questioning 'Andy'.

Three hours ago, Andy had experienced all this himself.

Damn, Snape must be dead!

Andy sighed to himself and silently lit a candle for Snape in his mind.

If he fails to return within the agreed-upon time, Snape will be banished to the gaps in time and never return.

Maybe one day we'll find Snape's dead body somewhere.

The conversation in the cubical quickly came to an end, and then even the sound of breathing disappeared.

Andy knew that they had already used the Time-Turner to return three hours ago.

And Snape had not returned yet!

"Professor?" Andy called out quietly.

Andy: "..."

"Professor Snape?"

"He can't really be dead, can he?" Andy looks perplexed.

Was Snape's death caused by an error in operating the Time Turner?

Or perhaps Snape was discovered by the Ministry of Magic... and arrested? Or was he killed on the spot?

Or perhaps... he lifted the veil and died instantly?

'In any case, if Snape doesn't return in time, he won't be able to come back.'

Andy muttered to himself, "Maybe I can take this opportunity to glimpse the mysteries of time—what kind of punishment will befall upon someone who violates the rules of time?"

"In that case, Snape's death won't be in vain."

"But... I have to find his body first!"

Creak –

The lavatory door suddenly opened, paused for a moment, and then violently slammed shut.

Andy: "..."

Is ... someone going out?

Snape?

Damn it!

Gritting his teeth, Andy left the lavatory and headed towards the lower level.

Around a corner, Andy saw a flash of black robe disappear around the next bend.

Apparently, Snape had released the Disillusionment Charm.

Andy: Damn it!

The underground floor.

Snape opened the door to his office and stepped inside, but before he could close it, Andy slammed his hand against the door.

"Very funny, Professor Snape," Andy said through gritted teeth.

Snape gave Andy a casual glance. "Collins... It's nine o'clock at night. If I remember correctly, at this time, you should be in your dormitory."

Playing this game with me?

Andy took a deep breath and then said with a smile, "Professor, I need to see you about something."

"It's curfew time; you should go back to bed."

Snape's tone was unnervingly calm: "If there's something you need to ask, you can come and see me tomorrow."

Andy raised an eyebrow at this.

The reason Andy went to the lavatory half an hour early was to ask Snape about his findings.

After all, Snape was a professor, highly talented, experienced, and with a good grasp of magic. Andy felt that Snape's trip to the Department of Mysteries might have yielded some unexpected results.

At first, Andy thought that Snape didn't want to talk about it, so he was deliberately avoiding him.

But now it seemed that... if Snape wasn't acting, then it meant that he had really discovered something, and it had caused him some anxiety.

Andy looked directly into Snape's eyes.

They were still empty, and he couldn't read anything in them.

Snape didn't say anything, and he kept looking at Andy, his expression unusually calm—a complete change from his usual expression of 'as if someone owed him millions of galleons.'

"That's fine..."

Andy nodded. "Professor, then it's settled."

After saying that, Andy withdrew his hand from the door panel.

Snape looked at Andy for a while longer and then closed the door expressionlessly behind him.

Tsk!

Andy stood at the door for a while, then silently turned and left.

'It looks like you learned a lot!'

Andy thought to himself, 'In this world, the only person who can affect Snape is Lily!'

Andy briefly stopped in his tracks and glanced back.

'He... seems to be hesitating?'
