Silax walked out of Ælf's Garden, into the streets of the city. The hotel was situated at the northern part of the city. This part of the city was occupied mostly by elves, but Silax's destination was the eastern part of the city.
Ullion was a city unlike any other. The city was built atop a windswept mesa, where the sun painted the canyons in hues of ocher and rust.
Ullion boasted four grand entrances which were meticulously carved into the cliff face and guarded by colossal, weathered statues that depicted elven heroes of the four tribes.
These entrances were known as the Gates of Remembrance, and they stood as the sole points of ingress and egress, a stark contrast to the sprawling chaos of most metropolises.
The Eastern Gate was known as the Gate of Dawn, it faced the rising sun and was the most heavily trafficked entrance. Traders and travelers seeking a new life in Ullion often entered through this gate.
