He summoned the sword, and it appeared in his hand. He immediately pierced it into the zombified spider's head.

*Screech…*

The zombified spider crashed to the ground and started struggling fiercely.

Kael moved closer to it, unfazed by its struggle.

*Swoosh… Puchuk…*

Kael kept stabbing it repeatedly until its head turned into a bloody mess and it stopped struggling.

"System, store it," said Kael, sitting on the ground with an exhausted look on his face.

The zombified spider's body disappeared into thin air.

[Zombified spider's Body is stored in the inventory]

"System, can I view my stat points?" asked Kael.

[Your current level is not high enough to view your stat points]

"But I can add the stat points, right?"

[It was a bonus reward granted to you for completing the special mission. You have to equip the level 2 zombie leader title to view your stat points.]

"Hmm, level 2 zombie leader title? It's still a long way to go," Kael murmured, peacefully resting under the shade of the tree.

"System, you said I can control zombies. What do I need to control them?"

[Host, you have to activate your level 1 Zombie leader title. After activation, it consumes your stamina. It's recommended not to exceed the stamina limit to avoid losing consciousness in the middle of battle.]

"System, I've been dying to ask this question: I was a teenager when I died. Why was I reborn in an adult's body?"

[Host, your current body has limitless potential and is very suitable for your soul. I had no choice but to select your current adult body for your rebirth.]

"Okay, let me see. How many zombies can I control with my current stamina?" Kael murmured as he stood up, dusting off his clothes before leaving the forest and entering the city.

Meanwhile, at the Vulture Wings shelter...

"Boss, Fatty and his subordinates, everyone's dead. The whole place is filled with blood and scattered body parts. It's a living hell," said the subordinate, his face and body drenched in cold sweat, his legs shaking.

"What? How is this possible? Did you find any other dead bodies that don't belong to the Vulture Wings shelter?" asked a young lady, her face showing shock.

"No, we didn't find any other dead bodies that don't belong to the Vulture Wings shelter," the subordinate began.

"What? What happened?" the young lady interrupted.

"It… It was like Fatty and his subordinates died in an instant. There was no struggle at all, no gunfight or hand-to-hand combat," the subordinate explained, fear evident on his face.

Sweat beads slowly slid down her cheeks as she stood petrified. "No struggle, no gunfight or hand-to-hand combat, but everyone's dead," she muttered, the words echoing in her mind.

She lost strength in her legs and collapsed into a chair.

"Boss," the subordinate moved towards her to assist, but she gestured for him to stay back.

"I'm okay. Do you know who the killer is?" she asked, fear filling her eyes.

"Yes," he said, turning towards the door. "Bring him inside."

After a minute, two men dragged a guy into the room, blood staining his crotch area, still fresh.

"Who is he?" the young lady asked, her brow furrowed.

"He is the last survivor, one of the snipers under Fatty," the subordinate explained, bowing his head.

"But it looks like he's not in the right condition to talk," said the young lady.

The sniper appeared mentally broken, fear is the only emotion visible in his eyes.

"Yes, boss, but we still got all the information we need from him," the subordinate added respectfully.

"Oh, who's the killer?" asked the young lady, curiosity evident in her tone.

"Variant," the subordinate replied, wiping cold sweat from his forehead.

"Variant?" The young lady's body trembled for a moment as she recalled the battle from her childhood. It had been a monumental conflict that had shaken the entire apocalyptic world. If they hadn't emerged victorious, all current survivors would have become slaves to these variants.

"Variant, huh? It's been so long since I've seen one since the end of that battle. Let's see what this variant will do. If he messes with us, he'll face the consequences," the young lady said, clenching her fist with determination.

"The Vulture Wings shelter is larger than ours. We'll make it our main shelter and use ours as a temporary refuge if our main shelter is attacked," she declared with a stern gaze.

"Okay, boss," said the subordinate.

"Also, tighten security around our shelter. Don't let even an ant pass through the main gate without my permission," ordered the young lady.

"Okay, boss." The subordinate stood up and hurriedly left the room to implement the orders.

"Variant..." the young lady murmured, holding her chin with an intrigued expression.

In Mewyork City...

"Activate the level 1 zombie leader title," Kael murmured with excitement.

[Activation of level 1 zombie leader title is completed.]

Suddenly, he felt a strong connection with zombies, even experiencing a thirst for blood.

"Damn, this activation thing is turning me into a cannibal," Kael lamented, shaking his head in annoyance.

"I have to concentrate... I have to concentrate..." It took him a few hours to control his bloodlust.

"Huh... Damn it... Is this how vampires and werewolves feel?" Kael thought to himself, deep in thought.

"Control." Kael looked at two zombies nearby, and they immediately stopped walking, their dull eyes turning to him with hunger. He thought they were going to attack.

*Grrr...*

But they knelt before him with a thud when they reached him.

"Oh, it's such an amusing sight to behold. Zombies kneeling in front of me, haha," Kael murmured, a silly smile on his face.

"Control." Kael directed his gaze to two more zombies nearby.

They ran to him and knelt beside the others with a thud.

"Control."

Two additional zombies approached and knelt in front of him.

"Let's control two more..." Kael attempted to command two other zombies, but he suddenly felt dizzy. The two zombies held their heads and growled angrily at Kael.

[Danger... danger... 6 zombies are attempting to escape your control. You will be in danger if they break free. You are very close to them.]
