"Boss, you've got a new job."
Allison looked at her desk. She pulled her chair and sat. She then opened the brown envelope.
"Let's see what it is this time."
Evan Mori.
Of course, the name was familiar to Allie. The man was one of the richest in Claymount. His family was sitting at the top of the elites. But it wasn't just his family that made him famous but also his personal achievements and captivating looks.
The sudden announcement of his engagement three days ago shocked everyone, and the news was all over the internet.
"This might be a tough one," Cole, Allie's assistant, commented as he peered down at the paper his boss was holding.
"But I don't think there is a job you couldn't do, boss, so we have nothing to fear, do we?" He smiled a smug smile, knowing well what Allison Gray was capable of. His boss was an expert in this field!
Allie dropped the paper on her desk and played with her fountain pen.
"This is a typical job. This marriage is only a business alliance after all, and from the information here, the bride has a lover and is against the marriage. But you know wealthy families, they can easily pressure their children for the sake of business." Allie shook her head as if she were disgusted by the norm of wealthy families.
"The major problem lies with Mr. Mori. His mother has been arranging ladies from prominent families for him to marry in the past years, but he hasn't shown any interest in any of them, and he has always been firm in his decision. To him, a no is always a no. It was only this time that he accepted the marriage proposed by his mother. The wedding also seems to be rushed. As for the reason, no one knows. He's influential and not someone to be trifled with. If he really wants this marriage, simple tricks to ruin it won't do."
It wasn't stated who the patron was, but Allie knew it must be the bride or the bride's lover. After all, the wedding was against their best interests.
"So what's the plan, boss?" Cole didn't sound the least bit alarmed despite knowing that their target this time was a big shot. Instead, he looked excited. He was looking forward to the wicked ideas forming in Allie's head right now!
Allie gave it some thought.
"Hmm..." she twirled the pen on her fingers, and a smile curled on her lips.
After a moment, she said, "When's the wedding day?"
Cole immediately opened his phone. It only took him a couple of seconds to find the information from the internet.
"This Sunday, boss. Three days from now."
"Looks like we've got a wedding to attend."

Reporters were flocking outside Claymount's Grand Cathedral where the wedding of Evan Mori was taking place.
The cathedral was packed with the most prestigious families of Claymount, wealthiest businessmen, and most influential people of the city.
Esme Mori, the mother of Evan Mori, was a famous socialite, and she had always dreamed of a grand wedding for her only son, so she didn't miss the opportunity to invite everyone she knew from high society.
The bridal car arrived, and the bride started walking down the aisle. Soon, the couple faced the altar together, the groom looking indifferent as if he couldn't care less about the occasion, while the bride looked like a little mouse who was very intimidated by the man beside her.
"Evan Mori, do you take Cassidy Ambrose for your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
The groom pursed his lips, holding a grim look that even intimidated the priest.
But before he could part his lips to say the words "I do," the reporters flocking at the foot of the cathedral were caught off guard when a sleek black car and two black vans abruptly stopped in front of the cathedral.
A dozen tall bulky men dressed in black suits went out just before a woman in a black dress left the first car.
The reporters were shocked because the woman's dress was exactly the same design as the bride's wedding gown, only it was black!
The woman wore a black cocktail hat with a net that covered her slightly obscured face. She had a grim look, her eyes bloodshot as if she had just cried the whole night before.
Intrigued by this unknown woman, the reporters were about to flock to her, but the bulky bodyguards stopped them. They were forced to step aside, giving the woman a way to the entrance of the cathedral.
As Allie stepped inside, everyone's eyes were suddenly on her!
Allie always made sure that she was unrecognizable as Allie Gray whenever she took a job. Her face was full of makeup, her eyes were a different color with the contact lenses, and her hair was different.
She wore a cocktail hat this time too to obscure her face more.
She looked ahead, and just like a seasoned actress, she started crying.
"How could you do this to me, Evan?!"
The audible gasps from the guests filled the church.
Allie looked ahead, the couple at the altar were looking at her now.
Despite the distance, when she met Evan Mori's icy blue eyes, a shiver ran down her spine.
She went on.
"How could you marry someone else after you got me pregnant!"
