Allie immediately backed away.
That was embarrassing!
Evan smirked, knowing well that it was an awkward situation for Allie, even though it didn't show on her face.
"Just tell me if you want to sit on my lap, little fox. I won't mind you getting support from me. Isn't that what a husband is for?"
She shot him a deadly glare.
"Stop teasing me. It's not funny."
"Apologies, Master Evan and Miss Allie. The car hit a bumpy part of the road." Newton sounded nervous.
"It's fine," Allie said.
She moved to the farthest side, leaning against the door and almost throwing herself out. She didn't want to be in such a narrow space with Evan.
He looked so devious, so cunning and mischievous as if he was always mocking her in his mind. That's why she didn't like the way he looked at her. For her, there were always bad ideas brewing in his mind.
